Ok, I need you honest opinions. I bought a dress like the one @Hannah Renee recently posted a picture wearing. I'm wondering if it is too youthful for me or can this older woman pull the look off?

Be honest, please. Finding our (appropriate) style is part of growing into our new skin.

Maybe one day I can walk down in aisle in one. Only thing is I don't know who would want to show up. I don't really have any supporters here so I'm hoping that I can get involved in as a board member and become a more active member to the community. I put in my application and did that about a week ago and haven't heard back yet. I'm kind of concerned because have no experience as a board member and no special skills but I can go out to the community and interact with them. I found out when they have board meetings and I'm going to attend and hopefully putting myself out there I will maybe get in? I was told they were always looking for board members but my thing is why haven't I heard back?

Don't worry about the experience (or lack there of). Boards need bodies and they can pass on institutional knowledge. They are notoriously under staffed and disorganized so don't fret about not hearing back, just keep prodding.  One of the best things I've done is join the board for Reston Pride (our local gay pride festival). I absolutely feel more connected to the community and it feels good to be doing something that our community can rally around. At least for a day. lol.

Whew I would love to be touched! I wouldn't matter even if it was in public. To be able to feel that affection! I guess I'm just a hapless romantic.

It's been 3 years since I've been kissed and it hurts. I miss that closeness and intamacy but I honestly don't have the band width to take on dating.  It was a disaster when I had just started my transition and I think that experience has flavored the water so to speak.

When I got my ears pierced three years ago I started saving for some emerald studs (my birthstone and green really works with my hair and eyes). I finally saved enough and went to a big jewelry expo and got some!  Not sure I will ever take them off.

Thank you! I just hope I can get over the anxiety part.

#1, at 71 years old and wearing the same style, you are not to old to "pull this off." You look amazing! It suits your figure, your hair style, the whole "package." Well done!

Thank you, Hannah!!! 💕

I have no earthly idea how long it's been since I've been kissed. I know it's been around 10 years since my ex-wife and I had sex, so at least that long. What I miss is just being held (no guys, please)

This is pretty much my situation also.

I miss having someone to cuddle up with so much.  I sleep with a big plush toy just to have someone to hold on to.  For my part, I'd be fine with a guy if he wasn't a jerk.  5 years ago I would never have said that.

But reality is, I'm kinda old and ugly.

April dear, I think 1. you could probably wear n look nice in just about anything with your figure

2. that age appropriate dressing is a little too much..

It helps to pass I think.

But there are times when you just have to bend the rules for fun.

Most 70+ year olds don't have a nose ring.  But Ivy does.  She's not dead yet.
