A little more sporty than my usual, but I love the color, the cut, and the fit. Black leggings beneath, so nothing new there. Also, this was right after I got my hair done yesterday.

I decided to create an album in the gallery since only registered forum users can access it. I've added a bunch of pictures of me in various outfits and looks. Drop by and feel free to comment. I am always looking for suggestions. But, remember, at almost 70, there's only so much I can pull off. 😄🌈💕

My time to be Claire is short today so I'm completely casual.  Camo leggings, an oversize sweatshirt and some lip gloss.  Oh, and my girl readers :-).  What's the most comfortable piece of clothing ever invented and why are they leggings? LOL

I love yoga pants both the loose and tight ones. If only my top half was feminine more I could wear just a sports bra or a nice top to match the pants.

I lean more toward a light shift.

Just my opinion of course.

A good friend of mine (obviously identifying as male) lives a bit north of London in the UK. He is known to wear skirts whilst shopping and scurrying about town without trouble at all.

His attire is quite feminine, but he presents himself as male. Of course there are a few that might ask questions, but that's the extent of it.

If he were to do the same in my neck of the woods he would surely be met with many harsh remarks (I have seen examples here in Texas).
I am quite lucky that I pass quite well myself, but I have seen others that can't pass being verbally assaulted on several occasions (Security/Police at the shopping mall don't do anything about it).

The US is a very conservative country with lingering 'puritan' values. Of course that's changing in some states and cities, but for the most part still rings true, especially in the south and rural areas.

Truth be known, trousers were initially designed for women, and it wasn't that long ago that everyone wore robes. I find it quite funny that people will quote the bible when condemning someone about their clothes choices when men and women wore the same robes back in biblical times. The difference was the head covering.
The prohibitions against wearing clothes of the opposite gender in the bible could only be about 'cross contamination'. Remember that in Leviticus menstrual cycles rendered a person unclean as did discharges in males.

Nowhere to go today so I'm just in a casual mood. This top over jeans, blue ribbed tights and white Vans leather sneakers. Just mascara and lipstick for makeup. 💕🌈

So, yesterday's epiphany was that girl jeans fit me much nicer than boy jeans. Well, duh! So this girl is switching over to wearing girl jeans pretty much full time. I'll keep my others for work jeans. We went out to dinner last evening and I was in androgynous mode...wearing a pair of Bandolino Amy straight leg denim pants. Score!

To me there isn't that much difference other the measurement, which side the zipper is on and men's pants have bigger pockets.

true but many of my jeans have buttons or sash belts or very high waists..unlike mens..no worries

Still recovering from the stomach virus so it's casual for me today. But, since it's Easter I wanted some color so I opted for this top with jeans.

Happy Easter, everyone!!

Still pretty cute. Better than what I'm wearing. I'm just wearing a black sweater dress. I'm resting from yesterday.

Thank you. I was just reminded about the grass allergy. my son was in the backyard and kicked the pollen up. Thankfully it wasn't bad enough for an EpiPen but hives and nose got really stuffy. I'm thinking about maybe getting Zyrtec or something that would help that issue out.

Oddly i often feel i pass but then bump into someone who reads my past attempts at maleness.    Last week at the market a man spoke me as i went back to my car.  I heard "You are beautiful"!  Odd!!!!!  Then he said something about marriage and i started to get worried.  Turned out he is married to a trans woman.  He was sweet and probably is tuned to trans folks but it was a bit disquieting.     Hugs,   Charlize

I decided to power wash our back porch and the porch furniture so the uniform of the day is a skort, t-shirt over a sports bra and flip flops with my hair pulled back into a ponytail.

It's been touched on in another thread, the perception that the folks who scream loudest in favor of free speech are also the loudest in wanting to stifle the freedom of people not like themselves.

I wonder if the LGBTQI+ umbrella should be split? Create separate entities for LGB and TQI+ folk?    I have no doubt that some cis het people probably think that sexuality and gender identity are the same thing, for whatever the reason, not necessarily willful ignorance. It would be natural for such people to observe that both LGB and T folk are under the same umbrella, so they must be the same, right?   Just as (and I know I'm making some pretty big assumptions in this post) some cis gay folk would think that the LBGTQI+ umbrella is pie - give trans people a slice, and somehow, they will miss out. Just like cis het folk might also think that their lives are somehow being diminished by allowing trans people to have basic human rights.

Suppressing your emotions because you’re afraid of them can be bad for your physical and mental health. Here’s what to do instead. When a toddler feels a “big” emotion, like anger or sadness, they tend to have a big tantrum on the floor. And these tantrums can be a lot to observe, full of thrashing, screaming, and tears. But a child reacts like this because the emotion they’re feeling is uncomfortable, maybe even painful.   Of course, as adults, we feel emotions too, and those feelings can be just as overwhelming, uncomfortable, or even painful as they were when we were children, even if we don’t let ourselves react in such a big way. But, sometimes, in our attempts to not give in to our emotions, we go too far: we run from them or suppress them — even if that harms us in the long run. Although there are many reasons we might suppress our emotions, one of them is that we are afraid of our emotions. Fear of emotions is called “animotophobia. It is not an official term in the DSM-5-TR. Still, fearing your emotions can have a significant impact on your well-being.

@KaitSo glad you are here. It's never too late to talk to your doctor. bI was 68 before I stopped lying to myself and talked to my doctor. He or she might be able to help. It may be easier to find an endocrinologist you specializes or a health care group who specializes. You might also seek out a therapist who specializes to help with HRT resources. Psychology Today can help find therapists who specialize. Glad you are here. WELCOME.

Good morning, everyone!   Coffee is flowing so my brain is beginning to function.    We've been busy caring for aging family members and trying to get the house open now that the weather is getting warmer. I've been working on getting the pool open and cleaned. It's almost ready for salt and starting up the heater. We may be swimming by next week.   But, it's raining here today so I guess I'll be stuck working inside.   Have a wonderful and safe, day!!
