You Know You Might Be Trans If...

If you take everything as a personal affront you might be trans or a paranoid schizophrenic (choose the schizo, they are more widely accepted into society.)

If you open your mouth and try to put the second foot in it you might be trans but you are definitely human.

If you go to have your fortune read but hope that you are not, you might be trans.

If you go to a book store to read but not be read, you might be trans.

If you carry a business card that introduces you as an abomination you are Donna Jean!

Love ya,

Sally

You might be trans if you told your postman there are three names using your PO Box... one guy and two girls... but they are all you.

You might be trans if you had a nightmare someone forced you to actually wear that nightgown someone gave you for Christmas

You might be trans if seeing both sides of the question has a totally different meaning for you.

You might be trans if you want a t-shirt with the trans flag and "Assimilate This!" printed on it

You might be trans and nearing finishing transition, if you can love people and really notice when people love you - if you can see hatred toward you and know it is their problem, not yours, and especially if now you can look in the mirror and finally see yourself staring back.

You might be MTF trans if you look down and notice something protruding out of your shirt and realize that shirt just won't cut it anymore.

You might be trans if when u walk by the TV and see the late night news, weather forecast calls for "T-Storms", you immediately think about testosterone.

You might be trans if you're doing your other half's makeup for her. (Which I have done.)

You might be trans if your boyfriend is doing your makeup for you.

You might be trans if, while your boyfriend is playing with your hair, he pulls off your wig because he keeps getting mesh instead of your scalp. (Which I have also done. XD)

You might be trans if you shop for shoes for your girlfriend, in search of cute ballet flats in her size.

You might be trans if your boyfriend is shopping for shoes for you, in search of cute ballet flats in your size.

You might be trans if you wear a boys' large and a women's small/medium. You don't know your size in menswear. (Because you're too small to wear most menswear, or you haven't worn it in years.)

You might be trans if you can guess your girlfriend's bra size due to having (or having had) boobs.

You might be trans if you're a drag queen but you don't have to tuck.

You might be trans if you're a drag king but you don't have to pack.

You might be trans (FtM) if you wear heels because they look hilarious next to your hairy legs, and you pack when wearing panties. (Then again, I have a few cross-dressy tendencies so mayyyyyyyyyyyyyyybe that's just me.)

You might be trans (MtF) if putting on boxers makes you feel adventurous.

You might be trans (FtM) if your ring size and shoe size are both in the single-digits.

You might be trans (MtF) if both your ring and shoe size are both in the double-digits.

You might be trans if your brother leaves the seat up because he forgets you can't pee standing. (My brother has done this. Numerous times. :P)

You might be MTF trans if you sold all your Craftsman tools and bought a new sewng machine.

Both you and your boyfriend might be trans if he made you a dress on his sewing machine. (Whereas you were making yourself a pair of pants.)

Alternately, you might be trans if your boyfriend is using that sewing machine to make you some beanbag breastforms. (He might be trans if he's doing them in every color of the rainbow for every day of the week...)

You just may be Trans if you save your pocket change for your surgery....

(yes, I do......)

Glad I'm not the only one! Haha. RyRy and I have "his" (with a blue lid) and "hers" (with a red lid) jars. I sneak coins into hers so she can pay for laser sooner.

You just might be MTF TRans if you've started leaving the toilet seat down.....

Alternately, you might be trans if your MtF girlfriend leaves the seat down all the time and you let her do it because it's easier for you than trying to stand.

You might be trans if you look forward to your friends saying you've changed.

You might be trans if going to the toilet is a big accomplishment

Wanted to bring this back for a bit-we have quite a few new members who haven't seen it or gotten to contribute -and some long timers who have been having new adventures.

You might be trans if you have to check what you're wearing before you go into the bathroom so you know which way to go

You might not be trans but if your great friends are transitioning you can hold their hands and cry tears of joy for their liberation.

Oh, Mia....

That had me reaching into the Kleenex box.....snif'.....

You might be trans if you feel like you're riding an unfamiliar rollercoaster many days of your life.

Help! Lemme' out of this thing! I've got to puke!

(Hurls, launching goo into the faces, in the seats behind him.)

(Coughs)

Sorry!

.

You just be MTF if you remove the carb off your pickup truck while wearing bra, panties, girl jeans, reasonable top and comfortable shoes...

I have not heard about it here in California, but then again we have events of various sorts going on very often, and not just in the June Pride Month.  We have Trans Fashion Week going on at a hotel complex over in West Los Angeles for the next three nights featuring shows by Trans fashion designers and modeled by Trans and NB people on the runways there.  I missed a chance for some free tickets and while I know and love many of the participants I do not want to pay for the tickets which will be in the $50 to $75 range, and which at those prices are nearly sold out.  (Not to mention $25 valet parking each night at the venue complex.).  There will be actual high end fashion buyers there though and it is an area where we are gaining some good footing.  I also admit that NONE of the fashions are going to be anything at all that would fit my basic personal style but look fine if not crazy on my much younger Trans siblings who will model them. (Ok everyone else keep on @Mirrabooka's topic.)

Welcome to TransPulseForums @gizgizgizzie    I hope you find this place as helpful as I do. I’m also in a slow transition living in the androgynous world. I’m out to my grown children and my extended family with mixed support from them. Some have cut me out of their lives and others want me to be their flamboyant family member.    Best wishes, stay positive and motivated    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

To escape Gaza is already an achievement. And then to be trans?’: the women defying national and gender boundaries. https://www.theguardian.com/film/article/2024/may/16/yolande-zauberman-documentary-the-belle-from-gaza-cannes-film-festival

Accidents happen.  So do heat-of-the-moment murders, without premeditation or trans-related hate.  It will take a trial to really figure it out.     One thing we can see from this is that it is people in our circles of acquaintances, friends, and partners who are the ones who usually hurt us.  Not someone random. We have to be careful who we trust.

Friday May 17th is IDAHOBIT (International Day Against HOmophobia, BIphobia and Transphobia).   Do you acknowledge or celebrate it? Do you do anything special for it, like taking part in any organized events or activities?   I'm not an activist and I prefer to fly under the radar, but I am slowly becoming aware of important dates. I have been aware of the date of IDAHOBIT for a few weeks now, but other important 'rainbow' dates have not been etched into my brain yet.    I will wear my favorite pride t-shirt as a token acknowledgement of the day, but it probably won't be seen; cool weather here will mean that it will be hidden under a sweater.

Happiness for me comes from being cognizant of the things that make me feel good.   Sunshine.   Pandering to my inner woman.   Knowing that some people in my life really 'know' me.   Vacations, and Eggs Benedict at an alfresco cafe.   My wife and I being telepathic.   Grandchildren.   Music.   Wine!
    • Ivy
True.  Every trans death is not a hate crime. There is so much hate expressed by some people, that we kinda get to expect it.

happiness to me is being ME. At all times, and it has yet to happen.

Hello & welcome, giz! Your post makes me remember how excited I was to join here too. I also had queer friends at the time I joined, but any of my trans friends lived a long distance away. So most local queer friends are gay & I felt uncomfortable coming out to them bc I couldn't assume they'd understand genderqueerness. So it was a thrill to join here and immediately have access to do many wonderful, genuine, kind & thoughtful friends-to-be.   Are you saying you're concerned that if you come out to your queer friends that somehow your parents will find out?     My love, I just want to affirm that that's not a weird dysphoria. It's just dysphoria. And we definitely get it. You're in good company here!     Look forward to seeing you around here & getting to know you. I shoot for androgynous appearance as well, leaning towards masculine.   Hope you're having a splendid day!

Listening to a YouTube mix for me and this song came up and I immediately fell in love again and just want to play music with like minded musicians playing OUR music and feel the joy and fulfillment even if no one else gets it. I love to fall into the music....
