A Warm Hello from a Chilly Location!

Megan Rose, warm hugs to you! :friends: Wow! You have had a lot to deal with recently. You have great inner strength. :)

Your dress and pumps sound quite pretty! Can feel your excitement about your outfit!

You have quite a bit to attend to yet. I hope you feel our love and support!

Johnny, I am with you, as I have no idea why people get bored. Life is so busy! I find it difficult to find time to sign in here, esp lately.

Lizzie, Kay, Jody... fun humor! Thanks!

Cynthia, Wow! Great opportunities to play! It's great you feel no GD when playing in the band! I love to hear live bands! Nice that gentleman held the door for you, too! :D Have you worn that green top on stage?

I probably missed someone(s) in the thread. My apologies. I am in a hurry this morning and wanted to comment here.

((((((((((( Group Hug )))))))))))))))

Love, Healing, Joy to All!

Brad

Hi Cindy,

Yes, our trip to the pizzaria was once again significant. Not sure why that place creates those special moments, but it hasn't failed us yet. I've got a silly grin glued to my face this morning - it was so good to get together!

Hi Brad,

If there's any quality in life that helps me, I think it's resiliance. We do get buffeted about in life, sometimes knocked to the ground. It happens to everyone. How a person rebounds and continues is the important part. I am lucky to have that skill. Continuing on!

Love to all!

Megan

Hi Megan! I agree! It's critical to be able to rebound! :D

Yet, I feel you do more than to simply rebound. It appears you stay very centered throughout. In addition, you keep love flowing, no matter what goes on! It's amazing to witness your ability to do so. An amazing capacity, quite a conduit, for love. I think this capacity is what is often referred to as "Being Love." It's beautiful to witness. Very inspiring. Potentially healing to all.

With Sincere Gratitude, Brad

That lady on The Breastform Store banner is a mean temptress. She's down there at the bottom of the page and every time I see her I just know she's thinking "Come on, Liz, be pretty like me and put on makeup today!" and I think "No, evil temptress..I...will...well...maybe......oh I'll consider it."

So not fair. lol. She has pretty lashes, too, that adds to the unfair part.

A trip to the beauty shop can get you a set just like them and if you get notices for Groupon you can frequently get them for half off or more.

Just sayin - one of the advantages women have is their ability to improve on nature. And make it look natural too

Love ya all

Why yes, I did change my avatar, thanks for noticing. (and uploaded 3 pics to the gallery *ahem shameless self promotion*

Wow I haven't started this many topics in one day in months and I have only altered my consciousness with 2 cups of coffee today too.

But we once had a thread here for people to post things they didn't want to start a whole thread about. Anything from a funny thought or good incident to vents and small updates.

I couldn't find the old thread which may be just as well-so I thought I'd start a new one.

Guess all I have to share here today is my wish that each finds something to smile about or laugh at today. Because for that moment all is good no matter what is may be happening.

What do you want to say or share?

Johnny

Is this the thread you were looking for, Johnny

But thanks. Maybe tomorrow morning with a fresh day and a couple of cups of coffee I be up to the sight

HI Brad ! Great to hear from you. That magical green top is being saved for just the right gig. I want Meg and soul mate to be there for that one. It's coming.

@ Lizzie - She does have way too good lashes  It's just not real....

Hi Cynthia, Makes sense you'd save that for a very special gig! :D

We had an opportune moment: the temp was close to 50 and dry - we set out for a walk around the neighborhood. Not a block from the house, the first person we meet: another transwoman. We chatted for a few minutes, sweet lady, a retiree who is temporarily living at a nearby trailer park with her fifth-wheel.

We didn't talk trans - just three women having a chance conversation. Life is good!

Love, Megan

Sweet! :D

Love bowling. And kite flying but seem to be gifted at mating kites and trees.

As far as bowling I was in a league long ago. I even won a trophy. I still have it too - it was a horses back end because I started with an average in the mid 200s and ended with an average in the low 100s. People actually prayed I wouldn't show up I heard.

I did better on Elf Bowling. Anyone else do that?

I love beaches but they are kind of hard to come by in the national forest. There is a pasture across from my house-one of the few within miles but the cows aren't fond of large flying objects and the owner is kinda cranky to boot.

Here is a link to an explanation of Elf Bowling. I never had anything but the free game and it's kind of hard to see why it was funny from the explanation but at the time it was. One of those really stupid things that just work sometimes.http://www.ask.com/wiki/Elf_Bowling

Think I'll give it a whirl again just for a giggle. Are guys allowed to giggle? Guess I'll have to guffaw instead

:D

I would love to join in the bowling. My hips are wide enough now, that folks won't be able to see the gutter testicles I throw. I know it's not on a beach, but can I wear my bathing suit too? In hopes of distracting them from looking at the scoreboard! LOL!

Well hey, I can shoot in the high one thirties on a good day?!?

Now you are just going to tell me to go fly a kite. I love to do that too. I know, from the sunroof on my truck!. I know, I know, the string has to be shorter that 13'6". Giggle. I did see a Barbie kite I liked but my daughter threw a fit when I wanted to buy it. But hey, kids need to be in school too, so Mom's can fly their Barbie kites. B) Sneaky grin. Jody

ohJohnny i loved making kites as a kid, out of brown paper, bamboo canes and string - i graduated to jumping off the yard wall with an umbrella for a parachute - at 40 i learned to fly small aircraft and took a course with the Red Devils parachuting - flying is amazing, i love to sit on the cliffs where i lie and watch the gulls playing he winds andsomtimes i dream im actually flying with arms outstretched, teaching others how to do it - and have a group of students all flying behind, catching my slipstream, and my heart's really flying today because my son just rang me frm LAOS to say his wife has just given birth to their second child, a girl this time, 7.5 lbs and named Lyra............both well!

Congratz Jacques! Being a grandparent has been one of the best things in my life. And I agree with Megan-that is a beautiful name.

I made and flew kites all through my childhood. My last was a box kite I made myself that actually flew beautifully but it was a skill I lost with youth. Now any kite I touch is doomed. But I love to watch them fly. It always felt like a part of me was up there with them. I also have had dreams of flying at times in my life but not of teaching others as well. That actually says something beautiful about your heart.

Enjoy that grandbaby!

Hey Megan, please give a complete report. I am having a change of heart about changing my plumbing in my basement. I'm laying the ground work and exploring if that is really for me. I do need a way to fund it. What is your consulting fee for financial advisor? Giggle. I am trying to focus on first things first, but the thought of pretty new real estate down there, is almost irresistable to me now. Hug. JodyAnn

I figured out the way to get my SRS paid for - Sugar Daddy!

No, not the sticky candy on a paper stick like a molasses lollipop - a real Sugar Daddy - oaded and willing to spend it all on me.

I just do not seem to be meeting the right people where I am.

Do any of you know where rich (hopefully myopic) single men congregate?

Love ya,

Sally

happy trans birthday! I can't speak personally on the subject, but I hope hormones bring you the changes you're looking for <3
    • MaeBe
That’s super healthy, to see that something that becomes common has less effect on you and that you are able to decipher these feelings.   Sadly, this trend tends to only deaden good feelings as we tend not to let bad feelings attenuate the same way.   I have noticed less euphoria, but still feel the dysphorias that I have. Sometimes the good sneaks in and reminds me, but often time it’s just me seeing myself in the mirror and being comfortable about what I see when embracing my realized self. I may not get the same buzz I once did, but I don’t feel incongruous when looking at a more “drab” reflection.    Wishing you strength, you are amazing!

Congratulations! and Happy Trans Birthday @LittleSam! That is such a BIG milestone.  I can still remember walking out of my clinic with my first HRT presciption.  I was on Cloud-9.  Wishing you all the best in the start of your new Journey!

maebe thank you I try to be. I thank God for blessings, try to share them, beg forgiveness for my shortcomings n vow to try to do better...2 priests have said no, God doesn't condemn you just for being trans...but apparently evangelicals do   I shall vtry dear thank you
    • MaeBe
Meet him at the being good to others part of Christianity. At the heart of it, there are excellent tenets of the faith. Those that condemn are judging, Jesus would have us be selfless; stone casting and all that. Are you a good person? Are you putting good into the world? If your gender is an issue for God, let God judge. In the mortal realm, let your actions be heard.

and just fi sweeten it..I'm catholic n he hasn't been for years..he's evangelical..whatever that is

Let’s stick to cite-able fact. Most of my posts have been directly in relation to LGBTQ+ rights as it pertains to P2025 and I have drawn direct links between people, their quotes, and their agenda. I have made reference to the cronyism that P2025 would entail as well, by gutting, not cutting, broad swathes of government and replacing it with “conservative warriors” (I can get you the direct quote, but rest assured it’s a quote). All this does is constantly force the cogs to be refitted, not their movement. To say that agencies have directly defied a President is a bit much, the EPA did what Trump told them to do at the direct harm to the environment, the department of agriculture did the same by enacting the administrations forced move to KC which decimated the USDA.      How about Betsy DeVoss for Education? Or Bannon for anything? What about the revolving Chief of Staff position that Trump couldn’t stay filled? Or the Postmaster General, who did much to make the USPS worse?   Let’s not mix politics with racism, sexism, or any other ism. Because Trump made mainly white, male, appointments—many of them not, arguably, people fit for service—or unwilling to commit to term. I can argue this because, again, he’s up for election and will do what he did before (and more of the same, his words).   Please delineate how the selected diversity appointments have negatively affected the US, other than being black, women, or queer? Representation matters and America benefits when its people are inspired and empowered.

When I first started figuring things out, I got a lot more euphoria. Every time a friend would use he/they pronouns for me, I'd get this bubbly feeling, and seeing myself look masculine made me really happy. Dysphoric state felt more normal, so I guess I noticed the pain it caused me less.   Now, it's more just that my pronouns and such things feel natural, and dysphoria is a lot stronger -- I know what's natural, so experiencing the opposite is more jarring than everything. The problem is, most of my natural experiences are from friends, and I rarely get properly gendered by strangers, much less by my family. I've found myself unable to bind in months due to aches, colds,, and not wanting to risk damage.    It partially makes me want to go back to the beginning of my journey, because at least then I got full euphoria. I'm pretty sure it'll be like this until I medically transition, or at the very least get top surgery (you know all those trans dudes online with tiny chests? Not me, unfortunately). It's a bit depressing, but at least I know that, eventually, there's a way out of this.
    • RaineOnYourParade
Major mood, right here ^^^    I've listened to Lumineers to a long time (a major portion of it by osmosis via my mom), so that is almost painfully relatable
    • RaineOnYourParade
As for getting a button-up/formal pants suit, you can try to talk to her more -- Cis women in tuxes have worn tuxes in recent years, after all, (for example, Zendaya) so it can still be a relatively safe topic. For jumpsuits, I'd recommend going with a simple one with a blazer, if you can -- this'll make it look overall more masculine. There's a lot of good brands, but going for one without a lot of extra glitz on it will make it look less feminine under a blazer. I don't know many specific brands though since I usually just get my stuff from chain stores, sorry :<   When it comes to your hair, if you can't cut it, you can look up tutorials on fluffing it up instead. If you can pull it off, it can look a lot shorter and more androgynous instead!
    • RaineOnYourParade
As far as I'm aware, he wasn't -- he just sometimes wore skirts, which was why it was a question in the first place.   In my opinion, part of that is because of the way press spares attention on issues like that. As a bit of a true crime nut and what I see: Child predator cases' (and cases of a sexual nature in general) press focus on those with an AMAB perpetrator generally, and very rarely are AFAB perpetrators given much press time or even getting tried due to a whole bunch of issues I'm not gonna get into. Because of this, when you see these types of cases and a boy is the victim, it's almost always a queer person who is the one who committed a crime that gets press. Therefore, with the amount of cases seen with this type of perpetrator (and due to the fact "99% of queer people are not sexual criminals" doesn't attract eyes), the human brain can kind of naturally makes an association with it. It's not right, but it's also a fault I think falls partially on the media.   That's all my opinion, though!   This is extra confusing to me, as a feminine man is usually viewed as gay. If someone is refusing the acknowledge the existence of trans people, then gay would be the societal connection that comes after, I think. So, that sorta implies that trans women wouldn't be interested in women in the first place by those assumptions? Of course, trans lesbians exist (most trans women I know like women, actually), but it's a little ridiculous to me that people will deny trans people's existence, call all feminine AMAB people gay, and say that trans people are looking to peep all in the same breath.   Wow, this was a lot longer of a response than I was planning to write--

For one thing, the practice of putting into office wholly unqualified people simply because of racial, sexual or national characteristics.  It is no accident that Karine is a Haitian immigrant, Black and lesbian.  Kamala Harris is a Black female. Pete Buttigieg is gay.  Often you find that Biden explicitly stated that this is why he hired them, not because of competence, but because they checked so many boxes on his little list.  It makes a mockery of people and is a disservice to the US.
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am not sure why people are in favor of unaccountable agencies with bloated budgets and wasteful spending.
