I hope Fallon Fox does well in M.M.A., I also hope Dana White is forced to choke on his words and his transphobic attitude.

That sounds so fantastic. I want to come! They need to get to work on that transporter like Star Trek had. Now that they've got replicators working it's high time.

Seriously it sounds like a great week ahead. Art takes me away like that but unfortunately artists never get together and jam that way. Always had a weakness for musicians in my younger days and have seen some of the camaraderie. Unlike anything else really. Know you'll enjoy every moment.

I'd say "Lucky lady!" but I know you have worked hard to get there. So I'll just say enjoy every moment!

@Megan - I hope your day is fantastic, and please give a hug to Nova for me, and here is one for you, too. :friends:

@CR - It sounds like a wonderful week for you, Cindy. Have a great time. Your joy for the music is infectious.

I've had a wonderful week myself. We just got back from Flagstaff, where we started off with over a foot of snow on the ground. My wife and I played in it for two hours, like we were kids. Hey, two girls from L.A.! What would you expect? :D We saw the Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest, with very few tourists around. We visited Sedona and i bought some lovely turquoise earrings. Then we spent a day on the Hopi Reservation where a guide took us to see some fantastic petroglyphs, up close and personal. I was tempted to ask about the "Two Spirit" thing, but decided not to out myself for the sake of my curiosity. Even the long drives were pleasant, without the usual L.A. traffic to bother me.

HUGS

It makes me so happy to see the life we all get involved in here. So much going on in everybody's lives. We cleaned the house yesterday to be ready for a visit from some folks today who were friends of a longtime friend, poet, photographer also FTM.

He committed suicide a few months ago due to problems with cancer and we got to met the people they will be coming for a visit and we will have a chance to remember him together in private for a bit.

Hugs,

Charlie

I miss my youngest son, he lives in laos, the other side of the world, and my 2 grand children, Ananda, aged 2 and Lyra, l month old, who i havent even seen yet - it takes almost 3 days and a lot of money to get there and we went twice last year, so wont be going again for a while. Im hoping Paul might come here later in the year - the British border control, in their infinite wisdom, wont let my daughter in law or grand children into the country for a holiday, because Laos is a poor country and think they may abscond - so laughable because Paul, who has a thriving piano school and plays jazz solo and with a group, has built a massive house in laos, has 5 acres of land - why would he want to live in Britian when as a musician, he would find it hard to make a living? Crazy!

even though I live as male, I do have maternal instincts and if might sound "soft" but i sometimes imagine him when he was a baby and how I used to dance with him in my arms around the living room. I miss having children around me - it gets to me when people are so impatient with their kids - someone said to me recently "I cant wait till (his little girl) is l6 so she can babysit (his baby boy) and we can get a life" - for me, my children were my life and I enjoyed every moment with them - I suggested to him that when they were grown, which happens all too quickly, that he might actually miss this precious time - but i think it was lost on him.............

txs for asking

Grouptherapy was like wow.

With 9 people ages going from 18 till 66 years.

So much different backgrounds and stories.

Feels so good to sit with people who understand and go through the same things.

Going to be 10 times and each time is 2 1/2 hours.

The group leader herself is also an transgender and has studie for shrink.

Was interesting that she mentioned that she had a secret when she was young and that she has a secret now.

And few years she had problems mentally with that even though she transitioned several years ago.

She is more open about it now.

Today I visited my step-dad in prison. during our conversation I told him about me. at first he thought I was joking with him but when he realized I wasn't joking he was calm and he said well it's your life and you should do whatever makes you happy. I feel so happy right now.

That's really great!

I've been a bum lately now that all the craziness is over. My mom passed away march 2 then my daughter was born march 8 so life's been rather hectic. Luckily I've got a supportive family!

My condolences at your loss, and rejoicing at your gain Jamie! It is always hard to lose a loved one. I lost my grandfather when I was 16, and I still miss him so much it makes my chest hurt. But the addition to the family is sure to be a great joy! Treasure the moments as they come, and never let a chance to tell some one how much you care. It will be to late to tell them when they pass.

Being a parent is feaking awesome! It's like having a new purpose in life so I'm really enjoying it all! Having my mom around would have been great but I know she's watching us so that helps a little

Weve been having dreadful weather across Britain, last yr it was 20 deg. C in mid march - people have died and been trapped indoors with the deep snow - everyone is behind with their gardening chores - so today being a warmish sunny day, i decided to do a few hours in the garden, plantingvegetable seeds in small pots, cutting down hedges, weeding, feeding plants, patching up walls, painting garden furniture - i got a lot done - however, now im in trouble because my missus left tea towels soaking in the sink and when she came to get them out, i'd got compost all over them. Amazing how a few hrs in the open air after being shut indoors can lift the spirits, i feel really great and very relaxed - looking forward to a warmer spring and a nice easter lunch on sunday..............hopefully in the garden!

@ Jaques, I can understand your need to garden, the weather here in NY is terrible. How ever, I totally sympathize with the missus, You may want to try earning a few brownie points by either washing the aforementioned articles, or, if that is not feasible buying her new ones. I also envy you, we still have significant amounts of snow here, and gardening is not yet a possibility. :(

I almost gave myself a heart attack yesterday, I stopped at the local Dollar General, and bought me my first bra and cosmetics. I got a lipstick some nail polish and some eyeshadow. While it was the scariest moment of my life (and was in the army so that says something) it was also the most exhilarating moment of my life. This is a big victory for me.

Now to just get the courage to go to Wally world and get a real dress and a nice blouse.

Congrats on the personal victory!!

I had a great night last night. My wife was kind enough to do some make up for me. It felt great and will be something I do more and am really excited to leave to do myself! 0AE76B35-0437-44F1-B87D-69DE2B360EDE-458

Tomorrow, I'll be getting two new batches of students for my discussion sections. They are for two advanced courses, and I heard that some of the students are VERY strong. I'm really nervous and excited at the same time :-)

Jamie, facial hair aside, you look really great!

It sorta reminded me of a period of time I went through a few years ago when I was trying to supress my nature, and I had similar facial hair. Of course, it didn't work, and I dressed up anyway. :P I'm so glad it's gone now - though I still have to deal with 5 o' clock shadow, grrrrr! But that's aside the point: you really look fantastic, great job!

Sam, good luck tomorrow sweetie! I'm sure you'll be great!

Hi Sam, the nervousness that you feel is not a bad thing, you will at least not go in the "front door" being over confident. Like Gina said, you'll do great!

I have found some people correlate TG = child predator ... just as some have correlated homosexual = child predator...    I am baffled by the TG = unsafe connection ... my wife tends to think this way, that this is all about sexual deviancy ... I try to ask how my preference for wearing frilly socks with embroidered flowers and a comfortable camisole under my lavender T-shirts is sexually deviant (or sexual anything) but I don't get very far...

Not sure.  The perp is a minor.  The problem here is NOT transgender, the problem here is incompetent and criminal administration.  See https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/family-of-loudoun-co-student-sexually-assaulted-ineptitude-of-all-involved-is-staggering/3231725/ It is more than annoying that people think the problem here is TG and that other people think the solution is some stupid statewide law.  Like an appendectomy to deal with an ingrown toe nail.    Since Loudon, I recall a boy was asked not to use the girl's restroom at a high school by one of the girls.  He, overwhelming her with height and weight,  assaulted her, claiming he had a right to be there.   Later I think eight girls beat him severely in another girl's restroom.  Again the problem is not transgender, the problem is assaults in restrooms and common courtesy.  TG is used as a smokescreen and it seems to paralyze thought among administrators who do not want to do anything to provoke controversy.

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

There are many MAGA GOP types who are not transphobes, of course. Some MAGA GOP types are transgender.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either
