Gosh, Students....we kind of get them at the farm at a beginners farmer class whicch NOFA runs (organic association). i always get scared but you will do fine it just comes when you need it especially if they are interested and trying to learn.

Jamie i remember seeing myself in a skirt and a beard. I would set the mirror so i couldn't see my face and feel ok. I grew a beard early to try to put myself on a shelf somewhere. I guess it fell off and i wish the facial hair would as well. It would be easier.

You look great!

Megan i'm glad your back in a skirt. I wear a long jean skirt almost all the time. My chore skirt is covered in formula from when i feed my young goats and manure because the keep jumping on me. It is such fun to have these babies. The ones with moms couldn't care less about me but these guys would follow me anywhere. i was thinking about walking them through town. That would stir things up! I'm afraid they would browse on other things as well. I guess we'll have to stay in the barnyard and i try not to wear this skirt to town.

Hugs,

Charlie

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm 26 and have had some type of facial hair for about 6 years now. It's time for a change tho!

@ Charlie, That being the case (with the goats that is) Perhaps you should change your name to Mary!

But in all honesty, baby goats can be quite adorable! I helped a neighbor take care of theirs when I was young, and I absolutely fell in love with them. Even when they decided to nibble my shirts.

I made it! :-) Teaching was intenssse (two straight hours of lecturing, and the second section was at 150% capacity), but the students seemed really nice! Even had some students from other classes. :-) Did 35 minutes on the elliptical to de-stress... you know, after standing for two straight hours and being dead tired, you'd think doing a standing up exercise for half an hour would be lethal, but it's the exact opposite! One of the great wonders of mankind :-)

Anyways, cooking some pasta... going to watch a re-run of SoYouThinkYouCanDance, then seeing if I can get some more school-work done before bed. Byeeezz!

ps: thank you all so much for the encouragement :-) :-) xoxo

Wow, that does sound intense, Sam! Sounds like you did an awesome job, though, I knew you would! :) And nothing better than unwinding afterwards, I say.

Except now I feel like pasta... ;)

A few wild turkeys arrive here each day.

From where I sit, I can watch them walking around the yard, trying to find whatever it is that they eat.

When Martha, my Great Dane, goes outside, she makes them seek refuge in the trees. But they always return and resume their search.

I'm struck by their perseverance. First, they dig. Then, they step back and look at the ground. There are no guarantees. More often than not, it takes a lot of scratching to quell the hunger And then they have to do it all again the next day and the day after that. There's no free lunch for turkeys.

You have to keep going. For the most part, life won't give you much unless you make the effort to get it. In the end, success comes from hard work and determination.

It isn't always easy, but using your own skills and talents to get what you need and want is far more rewarding than having it all laid out for the taking.

Oh and I feel much better. Don't feel as bad as I did last night. I guess I am just over it now :) Life goes on and I have so much to do!

I'm still on a high from earlier today.

Went to group therapie totally as Claire.

On the train in the metro to Amsterdam and it felt good.

Was a bit nervous offcourse.

Was funny that some of the group didn't recognize me.

Couldn't decide what to cook for dinner tonight... so we decided to just go out (Indian food). If only all other things in life were this easy :-D

You should have come here, we had roast turkey with herbed potatoes, homemade stuffing, and carrots with a lake of gravy!

Go Claire! :D That's great!

I'm only recently warming up to the idea of going to Group Therapy at all (I get pretty nervous with bigger groups in general), though I suspect I'll go in the not-to-distant-future. And I can;t help but think about how great it would be (after a fair bit of time going, of course) to finally get to be Gina around other people. :)

That sounds great!! Gotta love home cooked meals!

Just got told at work that I was written up for covering for my coworker. He and I (I thought) were friends. Turns out I've been covering for someone who talked pretty badly about me behind my back. Ugh some people really frustrate me

Jamie, I'm so sorry that happened :-( It's the most annoying thing when it does happen. I had somebody at work who I thought was a friend, but she ended up mocking my transsexuality behind my back (or so I heard). It's no fun.

I'm really sorry to hear that Sam. Some people are just jerks. It amazes me that your "friend" would mock you, especially if he or she knows it will get back to you.

Link to comment

Sadly, Some people do it BECAUSE it will get back, and because they didn't say it directly, they have some very small amount of plausible deniability, at least in their eyes they do.

Yeah, the girl has issues, it's okay though; I never bothered confronting her, I figured this really was not a friendship worth having.

Today, I just got my first ID that looks like me. It was my school ID :-) The whole experience was surprisingly anti-climatic: I told the clerk that I was transgender and my old ID doesn't look like me anymore, she asked me "So you'd like to take a new picture?", I said yes, and she did.

I loved it when i got a new drivers license and they laughingly asked if i wanted the old photo or the new one. The lady had a big smile as she said "we are supposed to ask".

That's really neat :-) I'm glad you had a great time; I've mostly heard horror stories before this, so this definitely gives me hope that my DMV experience won't be too painful either :-) Hugs!

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

There are many MAGA GOP types who are not transphobes, of course. Some MAGA GOP types are transgender.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.
