I can't remember if I posted about this or not, but I got the paperwork for my name change printed and notarized. However, I may have to put off filing the paperwork because I read that you need to buy certificates stating that you've had your name changed and Idk how much they charge for it.

I think they are referring to additional copies you want to buy for submittal to companies and organizations you need to have updated.  I believe the cost is minimal.

Do you know about how much it is?

I believe the fee is set by the court.  I recall a friend saying it cost them something like $8.00 for a certified copy.  They're just copying the original order and notarizing it.  Another acquaintance said they got three copies when the order was granted.  They didn't need to buy any more.

Ah, ok. Thank you. I might be able to do it next month then. The latest I'm willing to wait is until November.
