Guest bronx

just found out from my cardioligist that I should back to be 100% by some time next year, I'll be 39. i'm happy. Now i'm able to walk on the treadmile for up to 10min. Three months ago I couldn't walk 2 blocks. And A year ago i couldn't get out of bed. I'm just grateful to wake up every day, Life is wonderful!

Congrats, Bronx.

I now have something I can post here. This was the first really warm day we had at a high of 64 degrees. I burned my way home to break out the saddle and horse and got back from a nice 45 minute ride after the sun went down. And my mare (who is bred - foal expected in late June) even did stuff for me she's never done before.

It doesn't get any better than this.

Yep, Zabrak, I have a few horses. Actually, I think I can honestly say that I can train horses. I have had people ask me for riding lessons although everything I've learned has been by riding and training horses for cavalry.

And I did it again today. Went riding for an hour. What's really great is that my horse is actually trusting me more now than before. I don't know if it has to do with just because I hadn't ridden her (and ridden other horses) or something about my change or just because she just trusts me more. We've been doing cavalry for six years now.

Another good day to be on the back of a horse. (Oh, and women love horses.)

Ok Jackson, when you enlisted Squirt in your pursuit of the female form we "understood".

Now horses? :P

Stop while this is under control or Next thing you know you'll be cruisin late at night with a chicken sittin next to you in the pickup. (yep, you can hit me with the fish for that one if y'need to)

To quote Ryan Styles as Lewis on the Drew Carey Show, "Of course I'm scared of horses, they're great big animals with long faces and metal feet!"

I'm just allergic!

I had an appointment with a doctor for the first time this century and a little longer ago. I decided to tell him about myself and he is still happy to have me as a patient and will handle all of the lab work for me but isn't sure what to look for so he will send it to another doctor and I can get started on my hormones, pretty soon - I have my appointment with my therapist Tuesday and I should be able to get the ball rolling! :D

Love ya,

Sally

Geez, Evan......

And I always thought a Corvette was a chick magnet......

I'll have to rearrange my priorities!

I will take all the help I can get in the pursuit of female companionship. Especially when a really good friend told me, "If you own two horses, you'll never lack for female companionship."

I want to be a cowboy when I grow up. I have no idea when I'll grow up though. As I sit here and watch the pouring rain and think of the horses outside getting wet. They don't mind.

Sally, I have the horse for you. Hypoallergenic. They have curly hair.

Thank you Jackson, and with curly hair it must be a mare. (I have got to stop this rhyming thing!)

But more to the point, will there be biscuits for breakfast?

Love ya,

Smiling Sally

Biscuits for breakfast?

Of Course, biscuits for breakfast - Yankees use butter and jelly, but down here you cook up some sausage and you make gravy with the grease!

Uhmm, uhmmm, uhmm, biscuits and gravy another low cal, low fat way to start your day in the South!

I used to stay up to ridiculously late hours and make soup, the instant noodle kind. And sometimes I would fall asleep and the saucepan would scorch after the water had all boiled out. Thus was born Coffeepot Ramen, which would also make for a good band name.

My good thing in life: I went to visit my best friend, who lives about 400 miles away, for a week. During my stay, I had my first evening of dinner and conversation with him as Lydia. We've talked about my transgenderism quite a bit, but it was different to show rather than tell. And he told me, he had to remind himself that Lydia wasn't how I've always been, because it seemed so normal to him. Oh, that I may find others who agree with him!

I wish I could have had biscuits and gravy for breakfast, but sadly, I didn't have my Bisquick to make them. :o

So now I've run to the store. I've got my generic Bisquick. I'm all set for supper tonight or breakfast tomorrow morning.

Let me tell you how great it is to be out in the field (at an event) and have a couple friends make biscuits and gravy over the open fire. I've got the horses so I usually don't have time to help out with breakfast. Now that's the way to start the day.

What time is Supper?

My card, Sir.

Have Fork, Will Travel.

Wire Sally

(Old "Have Gun, Will Travel" reference)

A fast fork for hire reads the card of a woman, A knight without breakfast in a savage land.

(That has to be OK, I changed the words enough!)

By the way, Ham gravy is very good too and country gravy, and chicken gravy and brown gravy - any gravy!

Love ya,

Sally

Good observation, Mia. Thankfully bisquick biscuits and horse biscuits differ in color and smell. Otherwise we'd be in big trouble.

LOL Ok, we do have a cap on "cute" around here. And you definately just passed it. Wow. lol. If I can feel free to use this as your "verification" of femaleness based on "otherwise unthought of actions only a woman could come up with" you will be admitted to the species known as "female" lol.

I am a little confused about the word in your title there.    Defamation is a variation I know about, and it is akin to Libel and Slander in meaning, and could be the object of a court action or a couple of types.   If you are referring to the act of denying or taking away your feminine gender, ie. they keep using masculine names and pronouns or referring to you as  a "man" or "man in a dress", then yes it happens to me on rare occasion and if it is online, I simply block the moron doing it or leave the group where they are doing it, and may or may not come back if the person is there.  When people are willing to learn about Trans Folks I do give what are jokingly referred to as Trans 101 or even more in depth classes to the receptive and accepting audiences.  I DO NOT however try to teach a pig to sing, which as they say sounds like hell and annoys the pig.  If someone is invalidating your gender, get away from them safely and FAST.

My inner child likes to cuddle with Blahaj.  I know it's weird, but it works for me.

I'm not sure they can do this.  Not on line anyway.  LOL   Defamation?  Not that I personally know of.

Nice! I've found myself shopping around for astrophotography gear more than once but haven't taken the plunge yet. To close to a metro area to do it from my home.

It never occurred to me to be able to see them here in the south.   Maybe tonight if it's not cloudy.

Well, this last post brings my trans life up to date.  What happens from here is anyone's guess.  The next big milestone will be retirement, probably next year some time.  I don't think that will change things much for Sally because as I have stated previously, I am in a mostly happy place where she is concerned.    I do have a few more posts planned, as I would like to write in more detail about a few occurrences that were memorable to me.  Hopefully they will be of interest to others.    Hugs,   Sally

Has anyone been a victim of online defemination? and what to do about it?
    • Vidanjali
Yes, this is very therapeutic. You are able to see different aspects of your own personality. There is the part which has survived life thus far through decision making and lots of trial and error. That part of you is your wise and capable parent. When you feel strongly identified with the scared child in you, you can turn to the wise parent part of you whom you trust to guide you. You have faith and trust in that part of you necessarily because it has gotten you this far. Naturally, we all have room for improvement and advancement, but you can only start where you are and try to do your best with what you have to work with and deal with. But by adopting this attitude, you see that wise parental part of you become stronger, wiser, and more steadfast and skillful. Then the child in you increasingly becomes more trusting and carefree.

You want to hear coincidence? I just posted that and my neighbor just texted me and said she has been up early because there were Northen Lights outside. Then 2 seconds later I get an extreme weather alert. “We are experiencing Extreme Geomagnetic conditions observed and continued severe geomagnetic storms expected to continue through the weekend”.
    • KathyLauren
No you aren't!!  There were reports from Texas, Arkansas and the Carolinas of spectacular shows last night.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, the best show since 1938, someone said.  Tonight is supposed to be just as good.  (OK, maybe a twice-in-a-lifetime event.  )
    • Susan R
@KathyLauren That’s absolutely beautiful. Love those colors! That would be so nice to see some time. I’m too far South to ever see these spectacular events.   Very Nice, Susan R🌷
