Good morning all! Brightest blessings to everyone. Got my coffee and waiting at school to chaperone a zoo field trip for my youngest. Supposed to be a balmy 31 with snow. Should be a fun day though.

Morning, everyone! I woke up feeling sick today and I have only a half-day of school because of parent-teacher conferences. My girlfriend left for the mental hospital a couple days ago and I've been missing her a lot. Also I'm going to take my math placement test after school gets out so I can try to get into an Early College Program through my school district. I'm nervous but I'm hoping I'll do well.

Kymmie, congrats on the coming out business.  Best of luck...it takes patience I know. If people realized how much anticipation we have about their responses after sharing this info, maybe they’d give us at least some hope with words like maybe..”this is big news, let’s talk soon.”

I’m sipping on my Pumpkin Spice coffee this morning.  Heading out for awhile then when I get back later this afternoon, I get my lab results back from my 3 month.  I’m hoping for the best.

Hi,

woke up about 6:30 and immediately knew I wasn’t going to get any more sleep.  Our lab mix decided she wanted attention and laid on me to get rubbed and petted.  So I got up and made coffee.

i checked the boat.  Everyone in the marina was rocking and rolling with as much as 3 foot waves being generated by the wind on the river.  We aren’t to the worst of the storm that’s coming by a long shot.

i think I forgot to mention that at my exam included checking for breast tissue.  Seems there is a small beginning.

If it's not too personal, since I am anticipating some growth in that department, how is one checked for breast tissue? Just a general idea would be good so I can be prepared mentally. Calipers? Palpitation? CAT scan?

Thanks in advance,

I remember bad storms in the UK living on a narrowboat, if the rivers rose too high and your mooring lines were too tight it could sink the boat. Hope everything is ok.

I remember my stepson with his mates on holiday a few years back. They were on the river but called at a town in a tidal stretch and moored at a 'free' stretch rather than a charged mooring point. With inexperience, what they did not realise was what happened when the tide went out. They got grounded at an acute angle and ended up being towed off, even making the local newspaper. At least no harm done lol

The crappy weather continues here in Vermont and the roads were all freezing rain this morning.

Meh! I still went to work.

No coffee for me the last few days as my nausea has not gone away from my "lump" issue and its best to not tempt fate with vomiting.  My wife says that would be a terrible waste of coffee.  I agree.

I hope you all have a safe and good day!

The are forecasting freezing rain all day.  :(  And then high winds tonight.  We are expecting the power to go off, and have brought the Coleman stove in for cooking.  The generator is gassed up.

@CodePoetSarah, @tracy_j, We live on the Bay of Fundy, where the tidal range is 13.5 metres.  When fishing boats tie up in the harbour, they have to leave enough slack in the lines for a drop of 6 metres (The harbour floor is at the mid-tide level, so it's not the full 13 m.), yet have enough tension in the lines to hold the boat upright when it is sitting on the bottom.  I think tying up here is a bit of an art form.

Chilly here, light snow yesterday. Supposed to be in the mid-50s by midday, so I guess I won't complain.

Plus, I'm enjoying my coffee.

Funny thing about not "wasting coffee" - I've been known to use the remainder of the pot to make oatmeal with. Creativity I call it.

Should be in the studio all weekend, will post when I can.

Stay safe. I know what you mean about tying up a boat being an art form, when I lived on my narrowboat I had to get up in the middle of the night to adjust the slack in the middle of a storm a couple of times.

I'm feeling down today.

Well I am now since my therapist had to cancel our appointment today due to freezing rain and crappy weather.  I of course completely understand but this was suppose to be my magic makeover and photo shoot day!

I'm bummed now.

He promises we will reschedule it asap but I was so looking forward to seeing myself made over by a pro with pics taken by someone who knows how to use a camera.  Angels, lighting, shading, etc.

I did have a makeover a while ago but it was a real quick thing and then a few iPhone pics but it was amazing to see the real me.  (I cried)

Plus I was still dressed in men's clothing so it kind looked weird so I never shared those.  LOL

Since then I have been playing around with FaceApp and have some really good shots that are not so tweaked anymore as they first were.  I am having a hard time getting the app to recognize me as male to do the makeover in the app.  (I suppose that's not a bad thing.)

This time I will be in my wig and all female attire that really fits my body well.  Less jewelry as I haven't any.  LOL

Good morning although not so much so for me.

the storms were so bad over night that in spite of doubled lines and dock fenders a wave or series of waves pushed my boat up on to the side of the dock, broke the horns off a very heavy duty dock cleat and punched two holes I. The side of my boat.  Ouch!  At least the holes are above the water line so it’s not taking on water.  Waves this morning were 5 to 6 feet.  This was worse than the last hurricane.

guess I’ve got some fiber glass work to do.  At least I was already planning on painting the hull above the waterline.

@TammyAnne the process was to feel under the nipple by palpating.  Essentially pinching around the nipple.  They had a camera like device that they were going to use but they couldn’t get the computer to sync up with it.  You can also feel some small bumps if you feel with light pressure directly over the nipple.

Thank you! If I don't get mentally prepared for some things, I can go into full blown panic.

I'm so sorry to read about your boat. Having a boat can feel like having a wayward child off at college: you worry over everything! This was a wacky storm, spawning tornadoes in some areas, ice and snow in others.

I'm in the process of parting with a sailboat, spent much of yesterday bailing the cockpit, clearing the drains, then discovered that someone had decided to peek inside and left the hatch open. So I bailed some more. Still about six inches of water to pull out of the main cabin. The new owners are taking possession next weekend and I don't want to dampen their enthusiasm.

@TammyAnne they say the happiest day are the date you buy a boat and the day you sell it. The “Hang on Sloopy” isn’t taking on water and any it has is being handled nicely by my bilge pump.  She’s a 32’ Yachting France blue water boat.  I will check it again in the morning and close up the holes with gorilla tape until I can start permanent repairs.  This is my second sailboat.  Sold the first one last summer about the same time I acquired this one.

i can’t imagine what your panic feels like but I will gladly do anything I can do to help you.  If that means telling you what I’m going through I will happily do so.  For me so far so good.  My wife even made me a jumpsuit and Alterations to make sure it fit me right.

Willow, Hope everything gets repaired properly on your sailboat. We had snow last night and most of the morning. Being this was my Sunday I didn't have to leave the house until this evening.

Last night was a mess. Me and my wife got into it heavy. I told her that I am continuing with my transition, however slowly. At first she still talked about the big D. after going at it for almost 2 1/2hours. I at least got her to consider it. She admits that she doesn't understand. but will try think about it.

Today she seems back to normal. However I do feel some animosity from her.

Thank you again.

Really, I just needed to have an idea what to expect, rather than all the medieval torture images fueled by fear and imagination. I am okay going forward.

And yes, boats are happy things both coming and going. Mine is a 20 Nordica, a double ended bluewater cruiser. She's not the biggest nor the fastest thing out there, but easily the cutest, she never fails to turn heads. I've got her going to a great home - a troop of Sea Scouts who are beside themselves with joy. I have no doubt she'll be loved on, scrubbed, polished and shined for longer than I'll be on the planet.

It’s 3am and for some reason I’m awake when I can sleep in as long as I want.  Sigh.
Trying to refocus my mind so I’m here reading a bit.
Coffee is at least 3 hours from now so I am going to just stay snug And warm in bed and see if I can get back to sleep for a few.
I hope r rryone made it through the storms here that were hit by them.
I have a massive amount to snow blow later.  Uuugggh

I feel for you. At worst we had wind and light snow flurries. It's warming up again today. I'm all awake and feeling a little cheerful as I sip coffee and contemplate the day's craziness yet to come.

Slept well, thankfully. But being in a small town can do that. So few people up and around after 10 pm.

I have another drawing on the table. With any luck it will get completed this weekend, but so many chores to do.

I wish you and everyone a warm, snuggly happy morning!

Coffee was late this morning: actually, it was this afternoon.  We had freezing rain all day yesterday, and the power went off for a couple of hours.  Then we had a huge wind storm overnight, and the power was off again all night.  Then the generator wouldn't start. ?  We ended up having our coffee at lunchtime in a restaurant in town.

The transportation crew from the cat rescue group picked up our bad kitty to be re-homed.  The other two will be relieved!

Kathy

Late coffee sure beats no coffee.

I visited Nova Scotia a couple of summers back - right when the gasoline tanker got delayed and there was no gas to be had. So after visiting Peggy's Cove (lighthouse and tourist parking nightmare) I cut my trip short and headed to New Brunswick.

I usually summer in Maine about 50 miles from the Canadian border, so I like to go along the shoreline and photograph lighthouses. Stopped in at Cape Enrage last summer. If I'd known you were there i could have waved at you from across the Bay!

I'm tempted to take an afternoon nap!

I have found some people correlate TG = child predator ... just as some have correlated homosexual = child predator...    I am baffled by the TG = unsafe connection ... my wife tends to think this way, that this is all about sexual deviancy ... I try to ask how my preference for wearing frilly socks with embroidered flowers and a comfortable camisole under my lavender T-shirts is sexually deviant (or sexual anything) but I don't get very far...

Not sure.  The perp is a minor.  The problem here is NOT transgender, the problem here is incompetent and criminal administration.  See https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/family-of-loudoun-co-student-sexually-assaulted-ineptitude-of-all-involved-is-staggering/3231725/ It is more than annoying that people think the problem here is TG and that other people think the solution is some stupid statewide law.  Like an appendectomy to deal with an ingrown toe nail.    Since Loudon, I recall a boy was asked not to use the girl's restroom at a high school by one of the girls.  He, overwhelming her with height and weight,  assaulted her, claiming he had a right to be there.   Later I think eight girls beat him severely in another girl's restroom.  Again the problem is not transgender, the problem is assaults in restrooms and common courtesy.  TG is used as a smokescreen and it seems to paralyze thought among administrators who do not want to do anything to provoke controversy.

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either
