Thanks for the vote of confidence.  I hope my endocrinologist was able to talk with the pharmacist and can get going on the HRT.

Those blueberry  waffles sound great.  This morning I just had  peanut butter toast.

Yeah, well my breakfast was all protein bars.

Stupid diet.

Please keep posting your food porn anyway. I cooked my spouse a turkey dinner for tonight and I expect to watch her eating it while saying things like, "Oh, now take a bite of the turkey. No no. Slather it in the gravy first. Slower. Mmm. That's right. Yeah. Now the potatoes..."

Hugs!

@AudreyI love the suit!  yes, I wish we had changing rooms because I would love to try something like that on first.

@KymmieLI agree this will be your week. Hang in there.

@Chloe CozeeWelcome to coffee! I'm glad you got a chance to be Chloe for a bit.

@CallMeKeiraShopping can be nerve racking at first. I'm a big fan on finding someone who can go with you until you get more comfortable. Plus, shopping with girlfriends is a lot more fun!

I had coffee this morning at our local coffee house down by the lake. They have an outdoor patio with some heaters so while it was chilly, breakfast by the water was so nice!

Oh yeah it is. I don't know why I was so nervous my first couple of times, I've been buying clothes for my wife for years.

Coffee is soon to brew. Currently unpacking my thoughts. I may make a journal entry.

Good morning everyone, hope you all are well today.

Feeling pretty rested this morning, which is great because I have an electrolysis session in a few hours. I booked a two-hour appointment. This will be my first longer session (the others have all been one hour), so we'll see how I do with the pain tolerance. I wanted to avoid the coffee, I've heard that caffeine can heighten pain sensitivity, but this girl can't even get started without her first cup of coffee. I actually look forward to my sessions, not just for the progress towards my goal of no facial hair, but the electrologist herself is lovely to talk to while she's working. We're both vegetarians and have a love of outdoorsy activities so it's like talking with a good friend.

That's all for now, I'm sue I'll be back later with more updates (and a sore face). Enjoy your day everyone!

Love,

~Audrey.

Just working on my first cup of coffee and eating my oatmeal and blueberries.  I treated myself this morning with a bit of maple syrup.  I needed the reminder of how good it is.  I'll be in the woods dealing with sap and then working in the sugar house all day.  It's nice to know i can still do this work even though it is a bit harder than it was 30+ years ago.  I really get a kick out of driving the ATV on muddy paths.  It's called mud season for a reason!

Hugs,

Good morning.  I skipped coffee and breakfast.  Already at work.  had a very rough night.  Too much thinking. Some thoughts I don't like but not sure where to go with them.  That's all for another post.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone

feeling better today.  I actually had a restful nights sleep.

just a quick measurement this morning I may be shape shifting but I’m not filling out. Disappointing but my doctor did say at my age not to get my hopes up.

The swelling in my foot is going down.  The wrappings are getting loose.  I can wiggle my toes.

It’s supposed to be a nice day today, no rain, sunny and warmer.  Wish I could be outside but not yet.

hope everyone has a great day.

Yeah, but I figured anything is better than nothing.   Got my go-to Folgers this morning.  Nothing fancy.    Hope everyone has a good day.

Good luck! I think the caffeine is double edge problem: dehydration first, you need the tissues to be well hydrated for electricity to flow nicely. Otherwise they need more current. And yes, your  nervous system is more active on caffeine. What do you do for pain control?

If people knew how much work sugaring is to produce Maple syrup they wouldn't leave a drop on their plates.

Good to hear willow.

I wonder if anyone can answer a question. Why am I on the verge of tears most all the time? I hope that it won't be worst when I start HRT.

Probably because you have A LOT of stress and things in the air Kymmie. Any one of us would probably be crying all the time as well.  Make sure you talk to your therapist though.  Could be a sign of depression (worsening depression).

As far as HRT influence,  I've noticed that my crying fits are more irrational now versus depression. A minor thing will cause me to start crying but sometimes big things don't.  I can recognise that I'm overreacting but can't stop it.

Good Morning! Am I the first one up toady?

Good morning everyone, and @Chloe Cozee you do appear to be the first to log in and start today's chat.

I do love sugar in it's most natural forms, local natural honey is my first choice, and local Amish market syrup, jellies, and jams are a must in our house. I'm trying to live clean with as little processed food products as possible. I shop local small markets as apposed to the Large Chain Groceries when I can. Kroger is half a mile from my home and convenient for the must have items that aren't available at the Amish Market, or local meat market. I'm not a real fan of the Whole Food chain or the Big Box Store marketing itself as Organic. Suzie and I are getting ready to be on a fixed income and have to really be cost conscious about meal prep vs. boxed convenience. In 2019 when Suzie would ask what I wanted for meals next week because she was putting together a shopping list? My response would be anything that is fresh, not precooked or boxed for microwaving. She's not the cook in our house, and if I leave it up to her we would be eating frozen TV Dinners (1970s term) for every meal.

It's good to hear that most of us are doing as well as possible for the situations we're in.

Best wishes, stay positive, and know you're not alone,

Hi all.  I've been following things here, but haven't been able to say much...I'm not sure why.  Sometimes I clam up and withdraw for awhile.

I usually have notes for therapy that I jot down during the week, but today I have nothing. I'm just going to let her do therapy on me and see where that goes.  I've been kind of overwhelmed with mom passing and dealing with her stuff.  Plus coming to terms with being trans...it all just weighs a ton sometimes.

The weather has been wonderful here on the Southwest coast lately.   It's strange seeing some of your snow scapes in the morning, and  then taking a walk in 80 degree sunshine later.

I'm still in bed with my coffee, but when I do get up, I'm definitely having something with maple syrup.

Wishing everyone a beautiful day.

Back home after my electrolysis session. We have to use a lot of juice because I have resilient hairs, as well as gold instruments because I have a contact allergy to nickel, which with thermolysis is a better conductor of heat so there's extra pain there. As of yet I haven't used anything for pain control, even with my caffeine consumption beforehand but I do feel I'm staying hydrated fairly well. I've been able to tolerate the pain as well as can be hoped. My doctor is willing to prescribe lidocaine cream if I ask for it, which I may request when we progress towards areas where sensitivity will be highest (jawline, chin, and especially upper lip). It's wonderful to see the progress down my face now after several sessions, and even if each session is only a small area, I have noticed that I don't have to shave as high in areas where she's worked.

Also, since I mentioned it yesterday, here are my newly painted nails. I just love this color, it's called "first kiss" by Karma Hues, they're based out of NJ and specialize in natural products. ❤️

Now the big decision remains - do I take the plunge and buy that skirt suit? Consensus here was positive!

Love,

~Audrey.

You have a much better tolerance for pain then me.  I use a even more potent cream than lido, take nerve pain meds and still can't take it on some days.  I've been getting nerve block injections for the upper lip.

I give you permission to get the suit! (just call me "the enabler". )  You can always return it if it doesn't look good in person.

Hugs

I had a doctor appointment this morning. A week and a half ago, I tested positive for Covid. It only felt like a head cold. This time I tested negative. I can go back to work. All of you take care of yourselves! This seems to affect everyone differently!

Hi,

Thanks everyone for your good remarks.

@KymmieL, I go along with it’s a combination of things.  Clearly you have a lot of stress and stress can affect your emotions.  Next, you may have depression,  there are many different types of depression and each type takes a different type of medication.  If you go on an antidepressant you have to make sure it is the correct medication.

good luck

I like that! I'd have to try it on though and see how it looked on me. Every time I see a top I like in an ad, I need to remind myself that I'm not exactly SHAPED like the model that's wearing it.

I miss changing rooms.

Hugs!

Did you ever get that jacket we were all eyeing before Xmas?  IMG_9582.thumb.JPG.5e708f61c572d3739ca9db17ffe3848a.JPGI love mine but had to have the buttons reinforced, the thread holding them kept breaking.

I definitely have depression, both seasonal and Major. On meds for the Major depression.  Stress Ah yeah. I have that too.

Well I didn't change into a new shirt today when I got to work. Kinda good thing as my youngest came in. That is one stress I don't need right now.

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

There are many MAGA GOP types who are not transphobes, of course. Some MAGA GOP types are transgender.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.
