Good (early) morning everyone, happy Thursday.

This girl has been up and down all night long. Preoccupied, I guess. Hoping for a mellow day working today but I know that's not too likely unfortunately and I hate the feeling that I'm constantly behind and playing catch-up. There is a full staff meeting this morning and the first one since I came out to one of my coworkers the other day. Also my face is still particularly red and itchy from Monday's electrolysis treatment, much more so than the other sessions before it. Not sure why, she didn't do anything differently. I worry about scarring from this one but we'll see how resilient my skin is.

@KymmieL Sorry to hear that the analyst job you were opening for didn't pan out as you had hoped. I'm hopeful another opportunity will come your way soon. Cheering for you!

Hope you all have a wonderful day,

Love,

~Audrey.

Good morning everyone,

Already finished my coffee. My wife is feeling much better today. Thankfully it's Thursday, I'm exhausted and looking forward to sleeping all weekend.

Have a great day!

Good morning

looking waaaaay back in time, my mother had her best friend. And most mornings she would go to her house and they would sit at the kitchen table drinking coffee and talking.  Thinking about it now they were each other’s therapist.  And that’s what we are to each other, therapy sessions while sitting here drinking coffee.

my usual dark roast, black.  Just like I prefer my brown liqueur, straight up not mixed.  Ok I do like a good Manhattan but I haven’t had one of those in a long time.

Nothing has changed since last night except the weather so I’ll be back later.

hugs

Again up early on my Saturday. Just can't seem to sleep in no matter how hard I try.  I guess the ol gray matter gets switched on and then no hope.

@ElizabethStar that position is with a Caterpillar dealer doing service dispatching scheduling service and maintenance calls. not sure if it a position for a girl like me.

I can't see how any of you or anyone else can drink coffee straight. yuk. JK all My parents did. My coffee habit is my wife's fault. she is the one who started me on drinking this cup of hot goodness.

Well going to be a $$ day as I need to pay the taxes on our new truck and get the plates. Luckily the plates will be no charge as I have disabled Vet plates and it is no cost to me.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi everybody.

It's not morning, but my schedule is upside down, and just feel like posting, since I have a minute.

I spotted a t-woman today, while doing errands.  Good hair, good figure, but walks with a slight awkward hunch (like I probably do too.)

We know each other from a long-defunct support group. It'd been quite a while, but we remembered each other and had a short warm comfortable conversation in the supermarket aisle.   She asked me to join her on Facebook, which was nice.

I haven't viewed a FB page in seven years....

Have a good day y'all.

My heart is with those I read struggling with pain and loneliness.  I'm no stranger to them either.

Well now a little over 1400 more in debt.  Taxes paid on the truck.  Got to keep the same plates so I don't need to remember a new #.

Me and the wife talked last night about splitting the taxes.  She called  earlier for me to call and see what they were.  Than on the way to the courthouse.  I get a text. "Do I have to pay more. You have my$600. "(Second stimulus money)

I didn't think I married someone so stingy.

Yikes. My spouse and I don't have individual money (outside of gifts, gifted money is sacred). It's all just our money. If we ever divorce it would probably be a nightmare, but I have no experience with anything like this day to day. We just share.

Hugs!

Well I got an extra day off today, just not how I would like. Got really dizzy at work and started to go down. Luckily a friend was nearby and managed to grab me before I could do the “let’s go for stitches” face plant. I’m resting at home right now, thinking about taking some time to practice my eye makeup. Feeling a little better so hopefully I’ll be good to work tomorrow.

My wife is making me mad. I don't know the technical term but, She had our youngest get a nicely printed picture of her brothers and cousins taken years ago. I know 4 of these people, beside my wife. my brothers in law, and 2 of her cousins I knew from High School. (never knew the relations until we were engaged.)

So she puts it in a frame and is going to hang it on the wall. We have a picture of her brothers from years ago hanging up. A picture of her mom from our wedding on our headboard. Yet none of my side of the family. Some of our kids and grandkids (printed on our inkjet printer)

Jackie, Yeah, I had thought that it was our money too. I guess I was wrong. I guess I will make sure that I withdraw what ever we get from the next round that Joey is looking at. And make sure she gets HER money. Should I really piss her off and just file my taxes, (file married but filing separately) and let her deal with the IRS herself. I have noticed that when filing We are getting a refund then I add her income and now we owe.

Now I am not sure if the VA will provide the E. I checked my meds list and E isn't on there. My blood thinners are no E though. I guess I will get a hold of my endo and have him send it to a local pharmacy to get filled.

What having a hopeful week. now like normal it crashes and burns. I guess the story of my life. Nobody wants me.

I'm sorry to hear you're having a very bad, no good, awful day today sweetie. I'm not sure we need a technical term for "mad" though. Furious? Outraged? Extremely annoyed?

I think the picture is a portrait though. I'm not 100% certain, because I haven't seen it, but in my experience any picture of one or more family members in a grouping counts as a portrait if it was done by a professional. Once upon a time I worked for a photographer. Mostly we took pictures at golf outings. I think those pictures were just called, "boring." We usually got snacks from the clubhouse though. That was neat. I usually got sunburned (I go up like a magnesium flare in sunlight). That was less neat.

Even if E isn't on the list, it's not very expensive. I just checked the price and, without insurance of any kind (because my yearly deductible is not yet met), my 90 day supply comes to $32.80.

I don't like your wife very much. She doesn't treat you very well and seems really focused on her own stuff to your detriment. Through therapy, I've come to realize that I put up with a lot of abusive behavior from people around me because I didn't like myself very much. I think a lot of us struggle with that. We think that we deserve the abuse or that an abusive partner is all we'll ever be able to get. It's a hard cycle to break.

You deserve better. Meditate on that for a while when you get a moment to yourself. I know you're planning on leaving this all in the dust when you get the chance, but in the meantime, remind yourself that this is only for now. It's not forever. There's no reason to let whatever bug is up her behind hurt you. You're a wonderful person. You deserve to be happy with someone who loves you as much as you love them.

Hugs!

I'm back! The update messed up my profile and wouldn't "format" the forum so I could only lurk as a guest for the last 2- 3 days. Hopefully Petra will get my old profile figured out but until then I created a new one.

@KymmieLI'm with Jackie on this, the stories I hear about how you are treated make me so mad. You don't deserve that, no ones does.

In some respects it’s very similar to what abi was telling us earlier.

@KymmieLi agree 100% with Jackie and Bri.
OMG golf is boring. If anyone ever questions if they have the emotional fortitude and patience to transition have them try to caddy for a summer.

I actually enjoy going golfing. I'm not great at it, but there are two nice small courses pretty close to home that I'll play on a few times a year during the warmer months. I haven't played since starting HRT so I wonder how my swing will feel in the spring. Hmm. Watching golf on TV or caddying, on the other hand, is about as interesting as watching linoleum curl on a humid summer day.

@KymmieL I'm very saddened to read about the emotional warfare your wife is subjecting you to. She is quite literally using emotions as weapons and the toll it's taking on you is considerable especially with the other stress you're under looking for work and the uncertainty starting HRT. As Jackie said, you absolutely deserve better. In the meantime, I'm sending lots of positivity your way!

@Bri2021 Welcome back, hope you can get your account restored!

It's almost Friday. I can make it to the weekend! Today's fun was that NYC canceled about 20,000 upcoming vaccine appointments citywide because of the extreme shortfall in the supply. My phone blew up with calls all day asking if I could fix it. I wish I hadn't burned out my magic wand from the other day. I'm exhausted and feel like just treating myself to food delivery from the local Thai restaurant. Some red curry sounds really good right now.

Love,

~Audrey.

I get there early and order us our coffee. I wait. She shows up, first thing she grips about the door hinge in her car. It won't stay open. she gotten hit in the leg. No hi, honey. or thank you for getting me coffee. just b!tches. I thought that if she b!tches one more time I will plop $10 on the table and walk out.  We were there about 45 min to an hour.  I think we talked maybe 4-5 times.

A few times I felt like breaking down and crying. Why do I have such strong love for this woman yet she treats me as she does. I guess I am just a gullible idiot.

Nah, just human. Maybe with a bit of a self-esteem problem, but a lot of us struggle with that. Nothing at all wrong with having a good cry when you need it. It's one of our womanly superpowers: You have a good cry and get the sad out of your system. Then you get back up and kick the bejabbers out of whatever made you cry. I mean in this case it's spousal abuse and more of a intangible, but you you kick its backside by working on your self-esteem, learning to love yourself and demanding better from the people in your life.

Love and relationships are a two-way street. Both parties have to want them and work for them. Your spouse has made it clear that she wants no part of Kymmie. Her loss. Kymmie is pretty neat.

Hugs!

Hi everyone! The hr person at my work approved my fmla paperwork for my surgery at the end of February. And she notified my supervisors. She also wants to talk or get together to go over the meetings planned for my coming out at work. I’m excited that I will finally get to be myself and also really nervous as to my coworkers reaction even though they can’t harass or discriminate against me.

I really hope things get better for you mummies. The service writer job at the cat dealer would be good job , you already work parts now I don’t see why you couldn’t be a service writer.

Good morning everyone,

It's finally Friday! I'm hopeful to take a half day today, I feel like I'm practically running on fumes, but I know that's just wishful thinking since I'm supposed to host a team meeting this afternoon. Yesterday's staff meeting via Zoom was interesting in that I had a side conversation via text with my colleague who knows about me being transgender during the meeting - how I was shrugging off all the "your hair is so long!" comments, and the fact that no one said anything about the rather obvious eye and lip makeup I was wearing. Or, maybe they *did* notice, but they were too shy to speak up. I might take that a sign that acceptance among my other colleagues will be forthcoming when I do come out!

@Emily michelle It's so wonderful to read how involved your workplace has been in supporting you and your transition there over the past couple weeks. Hopeful that that continues as you go forward!

Really happy about a girls night on Zoom that a couple friends planned for this weekend. They really want to watch the first few episodes of the new Bachelor series together. I'll go along with them even though I don't really care for the show, because it just means so much to me to feel included as one of the girls! ❤️

I hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Love,

~Audrey.

Good morning everyone,

The coffee started off home brewed Folgers Dark Silk HOT, black, and strong.

I'm sitting in a Ford service center for the third morning in a row. Three different vehicles to service, two company vehicles, and today it's Suzie's Explorer. Ford Srevice Center coffee is warm, mild, and endless.

Certainly considering this. I’ve seen some reports, albeit anecdotal, of laser treatments causing some mild skin damage; like mild pitting, etc. Any validity to this in anyone’s experience?
    • VickySGV
@FelixThePickleManI and at least 3 or 4 others here on the Forums are in recovery (a couple of us over 15 years) from drugs and alcohol. Any drug, legal or not so, including abused prescription drugs (me) is potentially addictive and you need some help and uplift to break that cycle.  At first you do feel better by using your substance of choice, I know I did, but the substance takes over our lives, because for us they are cunning, baffling and POWERFUL and too much for us to control.  It was during my recovery from my alcohol and drug abuse that I first fully and with a lot of fear, but a desire to be honest came out to a group that actually turned out to be wholly supportive both of my recovery and encouraging me to get into things that would forward me toward my Transition.  Let us help you feel better about yourself without the substance since without the substance you can actually meet the challenges you face to become the best self you can be.  The goal is to like yourself every day without the false gods that chemicals can become, because they want to destroy us not help us live. We deserve to be happy and able to work and live our lives. PM me if you need some one-on-one and do the same with the others who will respond to you here.  A choral group I am part of sang a song in a concert last week that tells us that we Trans are OK and great, it is the people in the village around us that are the real grief in our lives, but here you are in  a village on-line that will support you.

I can only imagine what your early life experience was like. It's very weird when children's bodies are treated as property of their parents and not really their own. Certainly children don't have agency to make major life decisions. But parents operating covertly doesn't seem to be entirely sensible. I'm sure there was a lot of fear on the part of your parents, and perhaps/probably even coercion by medical professionals. But what is your relationship like with your parents now, if they are still living or in your life?

My mom found a vape of mine and this is the third time. I hid it out in the garage but she found it because I looked suspicious and now shes mad at me again which makes sense but she told me not to bring it in the house so I figured the garage was okay. But I know I should just stop but its something that I enjoy doing. I do it with my buddies and I do it alone. The one she found was a different, typically I have weed but today I had nic, but still, I know I should quit. Not because it's bad for me but because its hurting the relationship that I barley have with my mother and that's tough but for some reason I want to have my cake a and eat it too, but that isn't possible. I finally understand that phrase now, well I already understood it but now I really understand because I'm living it. and with that my mom most likely will pull me out of the school that I'm at now because that's when I started, this year. I've always had an interest in weed the way I have an interest of anything else. To me it's no different than the other things I'm interested in but this just happens to be a drug. I know I should quit I know it's wrong and I know that I'm choosing to do it, because I like it and I think in order for me to stop is to not like it anymore otherwise I most likely will continue. I know its sad but unfortunately it is true I know I'll have to quit before I go in the Marines so maybe I'll stop then. I smoke because I don't have anything else to do initially but now I smoke because I don't have anything to do and I  like it. Even when I did basketball I still was high, and I still played in fact I played better. I do everything better when I'm high I'm like a better version of myself, I can let go and let the me on the inside show on the outside with no fear, my creativity flows like Niagara falls just a contunious stream of creative output and innovative ideas that leave a good impression on others. I'm better to be around when high. I like myself better when I'm high.

@VickySGV    Good point.  There are websites full of porn and fantasies related to cross dressing, trans stories, etc., and people might easily think those are written by TG types and accurately describe TG folk.
    • VickySGV
No one has mentioned the Adult Entertainment Industry aka the Pornography Industry which for too long was the ONLY source of information about us for the general public.  I actually realized what I was from an XX Rated publication that I snuck behind a comic book at the neighborhood convenience / liquor store.  The person in the article told of her feelings up until and through GCS which I identified with completely, but then went on to the sob story of a marriage crashing when her knowing husband went to a new job and they found out she was Trans on a security check and threatened the husband with legal action unless he divorced her ---  yada yada!!   On that note she decided her  life was ruined. --    Other problems in the Porn Press are of course the "Morality" and it is there that child endangerment stories for actual mental illness types  comes in.  Also in that media they emphasize the Fetishistic Cross Dresser classification which is an actual addiction situation and is a harmful process addiction of sex that is as terrible as Drug and Alcohol Addiction can be.  The pornographic issues and sources of information are readily available in the opening pages of a Google Search while actual Trans information is about page 200 on the engine.   A recent misadventure I had that shows how acceptable I am as my True Self is that a man who claimed to be a church elder (minister??) told me how he had never come up with legitimate information   on Trans People and actual Trans Children and he went on to brag about what he did find that was morally damning by looking for the  information.  He continued to go into detail about other pornographic sources and how nasty they were. I asked him then why HE, a MINISTER kept looking at the Porn.  He replied to me that he kept up with it to warn his congregation of the true evils he had seen so he could minister to them.  Happily for me a friend of mine came along so I could  break away from the guy who was after my soul.  (He did not read me as Trans, whew!!)
    • Ashley0616
Just like anything else that is new it's always the thing that people fear of. People are typically afraid of change. Even something as simple as new procedure at work or the population growing. Typically just have the mindset of it's not broken then don't fix it type of attitude. The world is progressing and they need to accept that or they will eventually be left behind. A good example after WW II women working in the workforce things didn't go well at all due to a lot of butting heads. There are still even people now that think women are only meant for housework and raising babies.
    • RaineOnYourParade
I've actually seen a lot of people who at least tolerate the LGB and not the T. There's also some of the gay/lesbian population that, unfortunately, alienate trans people away from other parts of the community.   To me, the biggest block is probably the lack of formal exposure. If people aren't taught about LGBT they will, just like any other topic, come to misunderstandings and more. Besides, how can most LGBT people figure out that they are such if they don't know it exists? I know that, personally, I didn't realize I was a guy rather than just someone who wanted to be a guy until I was introduced to trans as a concept
    • Ashley0616
You're welcome. I wanted to post something new that I haven't posted yet.

That's a lot of weight congratulations. I was almost about to become a K9 handler in the Air Force back in 2006 but I found out that once you get promoted to E7 you lose your dog. You can get it at E4 as long as they need them but it is usually E5. If you don't understand military jargon, I'll help you out. I didn't want to join the Marines because I actually like to be treated better. I was Security Forces and performed security, law enforcement and everything you could think of such as convoying, fire fights, search pit just to name some. It also helped that I had family that was Air Force and I went through Air Force Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps so I knew the basics of Air Force already. That's awesome that you have goals in life. I hope you get it.

@FelixThePickleManTrust me I know the feeling. I didn't have the guts to come out that young. It wasn't well known back then. I knew I felt completely wrong. I knew for sure my parents weren't going to help me so I hid it all. It hurt a lot to live a lie. I always pretended to be the female that I was dating. I prayed and cried every night. It's not easy because bullying has always been around and the teachers didn't really care about that stuff back then.    You can make it through this. I would like to help you out just like I have with previous members. It's going to be up to you if you would like it. It's not going to happen overnight I can promise you that. For every negative thing or comment it typically needs double the number for positive things to feel better about yourself. You unfortunately are living with your parents which they are getting used to you coming out too. Sometimes coming out you're going to lose a lot of support. I lost over 40 family members but I'm happier than what I was. I still look at the mirror and still have my issues which is typical because we know our own faults and short comings. You have to value yourself. There isn't going to be an easy life. We all face many obstacles and it's harder for the ones that have something else to deal with.   We aren't in the same boat as some people are in yachts, cruise ships, and so on. There are perks and cons to each one. The best thing is to find something that you are great at and focus on that while trying to improve on the little things. Some have rituals everyday such as a new Bible verse that is related to what you are going through or a poem there are many poems for everything.
