Thanks for the reminder though that it might suck for a few days afterwards.

It wasn't that bad. I was running at about 80% at the gym the day after. Of COURSE it was leg day. I had a hit of my biologic the day after which probably didn't help. I got tired a little easier and like I said, some muscle soreness in my quadriceps and triceps. Not really a big deal, but I did take a nap yesterday after I was done dilating. Two hours later I felt fine.

Hugs!

Good morning everyone,

On cup number two already. Woohoo, I slept in today. finally catching up on my sleep but at this rate it'll still take years to break even. I'm convinced it's from my meds. They just took a little longer to kick in.

Planning or more yard work today. We have a lot of dead trees that need to go away. My BIL and GF are coming over to help. They should be here soon. Time to get dressed.

Covid shots do react differently to different people. I luckily had no pain... a little soreness but nothing serious.

Good day today .

I painted some rocks to celebrate TDOV last night and gave a couple to my new gender pcp. Also got a prescription for estradiol and spironolactone.

Deep breath. Here we go.

I’m impressed with the level of detail and colors in your art.?  Someone on my daily walk is doing something like what you’ve shared and leaving them in front of businesses and homes. They’re nothing compared to yours!

Nice work @AgnesBardsie

I had the Pfizer vaccine, so your mileage may vary

I have had both pokes of Pfizer.  No real side affects.  1st- arm was briefly sore at the point of entry.  2nd- same, maybe a tiny bit more, but practically gone the next day.

It is nice to have it done though.  I'm planning on actually getting out some now.

Awww thanks! I’m having so much fun doing it, it’s like I’m an addict or something! I suppressed the urge to draw or paint for 60 years. Crazy!

Sorry to pop back in. Sometimes I get the feeling that many here think I'm show boating. The truth is I'm just bored, nothing

really to say except nothing to really say, so my next video I will take the Les Paul off the "WALL" and plug it in the Marshall, and play a short Stair Way To Heaven. The hard part is deciding what to wear, gosh I will have to look like Jimmy Page and Robert Plant at the same time. Gosh, a girl's work is never done.

I do hope that the people here realize that all I'm trying to do is to show that we come from all walks of life.

Love, LM♥️

Hi people, I thought before I show boat, I should show you the pain and misery being on stage and all that see you clap,

cool right? Not for me, I felt no one really seen me as who I wanted to really be. I have no video's of me back then, but I just wanted to share to you all how I really felt back then. It is more important for me to share this little part of who I am, we all have

a gift that no one really see's, most just see what they want to see.

Am I crying?, Not really, not anymore, just sharing a little bit more about me.

I feel If I don't show my male to female, then all I had accomplish coming out was nothing but a lie.

Life is what it is, it is what we can make do with it that matters.

LM♥️

Thanks Liz, no matter how much I show boat here, I want all to know, this life we did not choose, it chose us. We on the other hand, we had to accept it, and we did.

Night all,

LM♥️

Here's what I've been working on. I designed the sea-foam and copper colored pieces from the ground up. As I suspected I had to make a couple changes but everything fits like I wanted, even the reverse mounted gearbox. Due to the short wheelbase it'll do wheelies from a dead stop so the mid-motor design should help keep the front wheels down. Just loaded what I hope is the final draft version into my printer. I hope all goes well. One small hiccup can ruin the whole thing. Due to the fill density it'll take about 20 hours to print out and I still have one more part to design. This is what I do with my time.

Boring day at work then again at home. Wife seems in one of her moods. What is she pissed off at me about now.

Good Morning and Happy Easter (if you celebrate it).

So yesterday was pretty successful, I went and got my first dose of my COVID Vaccine and so far, I haven’t mutated (I was hoping for mystique’s powers though ☹). After that I picked up some lunch and then worked out a draft of an email which I am going to send to family updating them on my current plans for moving forward with social transition. I had a friend and my wife read it over, and they both think it looks good, so I am trying to figure out when I plan on sending it off to them.

Today is kind of a big day, because it will be the first time, I am showing Amber to my dad and stepmom. We haven’t seen each other since December, but I decided I am going to be the authentic me. I don’t know how things are going to go, how they are going to respond or anything like that. I am also kind of scared to see how their neighbors may respond as they might see me as well getting out of the car and all that. I am struggling with confidence issues, which I am working on my inner critic, but still really hard and difficult.

Well, I hope you all have a great day!

Yum, espresso this morning, and home-made black currant jam on toast!

Yesterday, I was continuing demolition of the rotten planters around the deck that is going to become a catio for our indoor cats.  The planters on this side are now gone.  I still have a long one on the back to finish demolishing.

I look surprisingly cute in my work clothes.  That is my real hair, now covid-length.  I tuck it up under my wig when I go out.

We have two sets of cats.  One pair are feral and live in our "guest house".  They have unrestricted access to the outdoors in the daytime, but get locked in at night.  They already have their own catio, so they can get fresh air when they are locked in.  The other pair of cats are indoor-only cats and live in the house with us.  They like fresh air, though, so I am going to be building another catio for them.

@Linda Marie Nice rendition of Hey Joe.  I could feel the emotion.

@KathyLauren looks like a big job.  I recent got a cat.  She's older (14) and indoor only.

Good morning, just finished my first cup and headed downstairs to make the second.  Enjoying one of my few days off and look forward to a day of relaxation.   My first post on this thread.   I'm trying to do better in interacting with others instead of hiding who I am and sharing a cup of morning java seems to be a good start.  I wish all a great day.

Welcome Margo. This is an easy thread to get started on, nothing too intense typically. Enjoy your second cup :)

I don't use it.   One of my daughters gave me a little to experiment with, but I haven't.  My youngest tried to put some on me once, but I din't like it.  The light was pretty bad admittedly. My ex didn't use it, and my daughters didn't use it much either when they were still at home.  (If so it was very subtle) And I don't often notice it on women my age (mid 70's)   I shave every day.  But my beard is not heavy, and essentially grey, so it's not real noticeable unless you get close with good light.  I was starting to look into electrolysis, but the pandemic hit, and I just kinda dropped it.   Sometimes I do wonder about it though.

It's something I'm just learning but I find I actually enjoy the 'craft' of it in addition to how it makes me look. Even after a fresh shave, I have a mild 5'clock shadow. For me, the primary use of makeup is to get rid of that. I'll start with the orange concealer over facial hair areas and a bit under my eyes. Liquid foundation over that and light concealer used judiciously over that (still dialing that part in). Then just a tad of powder to bring color back in certain places. There are a number of Youtube tutorials on that layering process.    I'll also pencil in my eyebrows a bit since they're blonde and otherwise not very visible. Sometimes I'll get adventurous and give mascara a try but that's a delicate skill and usually I mess it up. I don't particularly like lipstick, but just ordered a 'lip pencil' to experiment with. Hoping for a more subtle effect.

Sunday is my weekly ablution day - all of the parts that need occasional shaving get their required attention. The weather is rainy and cool today so after the ablutions and shower, I put on blue jeans, a gray t-shirt and a black front-zip hoodie along with gray sneakers.   And, I did put on make-up, not to impress anyone but just to feel as if I'm looking my best....as good as that can be given this woman is now 69 years old.

There are lots of us here willing to offer support, ideas, a shoulder or just a smile. Working with your therapist and finding your true self can be difficult process...but it will also be filled with wonder and joy as you discover that person who's been waiting inside you to be found.   Just know that you are not alone.

Thank you KayC!  I am just trying to keep breathing. I don't have a huge amount of time in my life for self exploration.  My job and responsibilities have me second guessing all my inner work.  I do have time off in the summer - coming up soon as I am a teacher.  Only a few workshops.  Looking forward ward to some introspection.     :) Mealaini

Yes, essentially. As Julia Serano says, they view trans outcomes as intrinsically worse than cis outcomes.

I used to but now its just lip gloss every now and then, in a subdued tone.

Yeah, a lot of times I don't really have anything to add to the conversation. There are some threads I seldom post on.
    • Ivy
I have seen some things about this.  As I remember it was not very trans-friendly. The people doing these things seem to minimize the positive aspects of transition, and maximize the potential problems. Basically, make it as difficult as possible (without outright banning it) to discourage anyone from doing it.

Good morning    woke up to some light rain this morning.  Maybe I should run out with a giant umbrella to cover the car.   Ha ha ha.     I’ve had really nice cars before but never something like this.     @KymmieL I hope you got to go on your ride. Back when I had my Harley we went out for a ride almost every weekend. We would head either SW down the Shenandoah Valley or Skyline Drive which danced along the tops of the Mountains or we would head west into West Virginia and just travel along until it was time to find our way home.   occasionally I wish I still had a bike but I usually quickly for get that. The only thing I ever wanted as a young person that I never had was a late 50s vette.

I admit to wearing make-up. Actually, I'll admit to enjoying wearing make-up. For me, it's been part of learning about myself as a woman and finding a style and look that reflects my personality.    Sometimes, it will just be a bit of mascara and a touch of lipstick. But, most often I wear foundation with setting powder, gel eyeliner, mascara, a little blush on my cheek line and lipstick. I also use an eyebrow pencil to darken my brows a bit.  Infrequently, I will add some eye shadow.   Most of my make-up is from Mary Kay although my lipsticks or from various manufacturers and eyeliners are mostly Maybelline. My wife purchases most of her make-up from Mary Kay and so we order together from our local representative. Of course, I don't have much brand experience but I'm happy with the Mary Kay products and find myself transitioning almost entirely to their line of make-up.
