Running the track and smoking a joint, watching the guards, yes I did that. Every one was smoking roll your own cigs, so I took the chance and it worked for me. When I was finally released and given back my clothes I figured I would be arrested again, I had a bag of pot in my cowboy boots. Walked out took a bus home and rolled another one.

Those were the days.

So how did I get the pot into prison? When I was moved to the Travis County facility, I put a few joints under my socks, they searched me but never asked me to remove my socks. I got lucky. Yeah, strip necked look up my butt, and never looked at my socks.

Shucks the worst I got was hanging out with some 17 year old friends at a state park  (I was 19) and getting picked up for giving alcohol to minors (we were there all week and were stupid enough to keep our empties and the police didn't by that I drank all of that myself) - it was a fine and no jail time but we did get kicked out of a state park in Indiana at 3 in the morning. A year later the charges were removed from my record.

Gosh, Shay, I wish that was all I did.

I want the people here to know my bad past was never stealing, we were working class ass holes. We lived by a code.

Yes there were bad assed fights in the biker bars, but we had a code.

I was too naive to go into that but my band in those days certainly played in enough places like that. I remember a friend came to see us and the next thing I knew he was thrown into a pinball machine and broke the glass. Luckily he wasn't cut - but I sure was glad when we finished, packed up and got out safe.....

@Willow I haven't been keeping up in this thread. May I assume you are moving? Or is the photographer just coming to take photos for the "What are You Wearing Today?" thread - either way - hope blood work is good and no problems there.

Hi Shay, I have seen so much, stabbings, brutal beatings and shootings.

Hi Willow, I do not envy you. Gosh so much work you are going though.

I do how ever wish I could move on. But that won't happen.

Hugs and best wishes to you on your move,

I had a brush with the law back in the day over a few personal plants.  Fortunately, I managed to stay out of prison.

I have found that the use of a particular herb has helped with some anxiety issues at times.  However, I intend to stay away from the business end of things.

I had a next door neighbor who was married and had a 5 yr old daughter go to prison for 5 years back in 1973 for growing half a dozen plants in his back yard.

I had a "FIRST" today. I got up from a short nap a while ago wearing nothing but panties. Crouched down and snuck past a window with open shades. My wife said to me with an elevated scornful voice " You just ran in front of an open window with boobs hanging out ! ".

That made my day. Of course, I didn't let her now that.

This is almost exactly my situation (including daughter) minus the prison time.  I got very lucky.  I decided I'd rather be with my family and didn't mess with it for years.  But times have changed.

My wife is allergic to it so I don't mess with it.

@Maddee I hope the appointments went well. Good luck with moving. I've moved a bit myself and it's a bit of a pain, but there's also excitment and a sense of new beginning that makes it worth the while.

I've been known to give my entire neighborhood a full frontal, "HELLO WORLD!" kind of thing. I have no actual shame apparently.

Hugs!

Well I am very impressed with this topic coffee. We all seem to open up here, tell things we would not think about opening up to others.

It actually brings us in, shake hands so to speak.

Where am I going from here? Not sure, tomorrow will tell,

I hope all the best one can get, fire side chats are the best.

Dignity is what I represent. Not prancing around in undies.

I won't go into men's or women's under wear, both belong as under wear!!!

So I wonder, what is in your mind?

As far as me, well I am me.

Hi

@Shayyes we are moving, downsizing from a 3 bedroom 2200 sqft single family home that is 30 years old to a new, under construction 2 bedroom condominium which is 1350 sqft.  Yes, huge change for us.  It’s not without its challenges and occasional disputes.  But there are things we would like to do in retirement that we can’t right now.  Next year is 50 year anniversary and my wife has always wanted to visit Italy.  I want to make that happen.  We enjoy the occasional cruse.  We haven’t been able to do that since I retired.

Had blood work today. Estradiol, testosterone free and total, and general blood levels, particularly potassium.  I should learn next Tuesday how I’m doing.

We stopped at a local beach/surf shop this afternoon.  With my wife’s approval I got a new swimsuit two piece made up of a skort like bottom and the top ties around the back of my neck. We also looked at a Jeep Wrangler this afternoon.  We need a new vehicle and it is my wife’s idea to consider that.  But the one we looked at she would need a ladder to get into.  Lol

price and size are guiding our decision nothing odd about that.  What my wife wants is the soft top so we have a convertible for the beach.

We went together both wearing sundresses.  We had a nice time.  Even talked a bit about clothes shopping before going on a trip this summer. We plan on driving from SC to Portland OR with stops in Virginia, Ohio, Wyoming, Portland. Crater lake, Lake Tahoe, Grand Canyon, New Orleans, Atlanta GA and anyplace else we see that looks interesting.

You had better swing by and at least say hi. on your way. Since you are looking at a jeep maybe we can still be friends. LOL.

I am dreading moving from here. We have been here for almost 22 yrs. the longest I have ever lived in one place. even growing up.

Hugs,

Kymmie.

I was down low enough that no one could see me unless they were up in a tree looking in. I normally wear a tank top if I'm up and about, but this time I didn't want to take the time to dress to be up for only 30 seconds.

Welcome to the forums! Writer and graphic artist (and photographer) here as well, though most of my life has been spent in the sports realm... bless you with three teenagers!! I have two and they are a handful ... I have found a lot of encouragement and help on this forum... Hope you do as well... Blessings on your journey ahead ...    Easy

During COVID lockdowns without any place to go, some neighborhood buddies and I would play Life for hours (imagine a bunch of middle aged men playing that game, it was a hoot - all sorts of 'house rules')... anyways, as much as I could get away with it, I would choose a pink peg to represent myself... sometimes even had a female name to go with it... this was before I even really pondered whether or not I was trans ...   I was very determined to do this ... so interesting to look back and see all the threads pointing me to where I am now, though it has come as such a surprise as well...   Easy

Thank you all for the helpful responses... I realize some of HRT is for mental health -- like I said above I really am enjoying the ride so far in that regard!   Guess there is a part of me that wants to have my cake and eat it too. I want to have a nice feminine shape within reason for my age (fat distribution - you can kick in whenever you want!!). Yet, I am still not out to family, so I want it to be subtle enough as I go along that I can cover tracks when necessary ... Not the ideal situation but it is what it is ... maybe when family realizes that this is not making me into a monster, they will come around to some of it. I can hope, right?   More and more, I just want to look in the mirror and see a female body staring back at me ... I want female clothing that I put on to look like it fits me to a T... (and by T, I don't mean testosterone, lol)...    EasyE

Good afternoon M.A.   Welcome to Transgender Pulse Forums, I think you'll find that there are a lot of us who had their first therapist reconsidering our story and recommended us to gender or LGBTQIA specific therapist. I made my first therapist cry after asking me what was my worst experience or memory. She was not prepared for the can of worms I brought to the couch. My second therapist is a gem, she's my age and knows how to work with my thoughts.    My two kids were also involved in the arts programs in school one in theater, the other combined art and modern music.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Welcome.   This can be a good sounding board and a place to say things you otherwise could not. Be yourself. Find out what that is.   Abby

That's very common in internet forums and it is hard not to take it personally sometimes.   You might post "bump" with a smiley face to bring it to the top of the stack, or you might use the @ feature if there are certain people you would really like to have comment on it, and say something like Dear Abby, I would really like your input on this.  Please take a minute and respond.  Thanks!!!

Something else I noticed @Ladypcnj Since I use the Unread tab, I don't see threads I've read again until someone replies to it, or the author adds something.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
    • Mmindy
Good morning @Ladypcnj   Some posts get lost in the busy times here. It also maters how people navigate the site. Some only look at their notifications, or tap the All Activity tab which shows them thread they've commented on. (how I see it)... I on the other hand use the Unread tag under Activity. I don't think people ignore post as much as they get caught up reading threads they've already been active in.   Best wishes, stay positive, and motivated,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
