Starting HRT...I was supposed to start HRT patches yesterday, but there was a problem with the verbiage on the  prescription. Hopefully they can get it corrected today. Started taking testosterone blocker yesterday. No bad side effects yet.

Congrats to all the ladies with new official names!

@Bri2020 What you mention has always puzzled me. Google, Yahoo and the like are tech companies that could implement a name change jut like that (after the necessary checks, alright). They are also companies that, in general, are very supportive of diversity and LGBT+ rights. However, a name or account change is an ordeal, with tons of manual tasks for the user.

I believe there's a lot going on that we don't understand.  Of course there is a lot of BS as well.

I've had experiences that I can't explain, but they were certainly real.   Some have been a bit scary, but others very pleasant.

Like I said, there's a whole side to our existence that can't be explained in merely physical terms.  We can ignore it, but that doesn't mean it's not there.

Just my own experience.

Started with my Estradiol patch today. I am very excited. My sister took me Dress and Shoe shopping yesterday. We went to Good Will and got some nice dresses and,  DSW for 3 pairs of summer type shoes, and 1 nice purse and belt.

I am at my sisters house for the last couple days, and have to go home tomorrow, to "face the music" from my wife. She has said that HRT is a nonstarter that she can not live with. I hope she can at least acknowledge that this for real and she is the one that needs to adjust going forward.

I thought the attack on my girls was a little odd. Just by what I found. I favorite one was well, just decimated and my wife's favorite was unharmed. The others were just killed. Although it's probably just coincidental I wanted to explore other possibilities. Just the night before I had started clearing some small trees, bushes and debris from a little forested area in my yard for my meditation place. Part of me felt I may have upset something in the balance and this was my payback. I presented this on another group I follow. There are 17,500 others in the group and not a single one suggested anything other than a random animal attack. Some even laughed at me for looking for a spiritual significance. I'm steadily losing faith in people to see anything in this world other than what's right in their face.

I'd say random animal attack, but because I wouldn't want to believe that anything you upset might END another life over it. Sure, it hurt you, but it hurt your little feather-babies way more. If I was an angry brush spirit, I'd probably give you nightmares for a while or upset your meditations to see if you made amends way before I murdered another living creature.

Got a scare today. So I  went to the urgent care in town who is contracted with the VA. For my swollen left ankle. Nothing on the xrays. So they are thinking with my history of blood clots I may have one. So the send me for an ultrasound.  I get to the hospital they are booked  solid until 1:30. It was 10:15 then. I head to work. The closer I get to 1:30. The mor anxious I get.

Have the ultrasound done.  I get the results sent to my phone. No clots.

I was scared that if I had one. There would go my E. And would hamper my transition.

Thank the goddess it wasn't.  Now to find out what is causing it.

I get this.  One of my big fears is I would get bumped from my HRT.

I would probably go rogue to get it.  I'm not quite the domesticated girl that I pretend to be.

I'm calling June 26th as the day my egg finally cracked, so happy that day to me.

One year of living some gender euphoria, and generally feeling better about being on the planet. Glad for this place to get some understanding and empathy, and hopefully pass that along to other members once in a while too.

Wow, I missed a lot.

Congratulations Liz, Shay and Erica !!!!

Did anyone change middle name also? I went from James Michael to Jamie Michelle.

It's funny, I still have the same initials and my signature is almost identical because of my sloppy handwriting.

Basically only the dot above the "I" was added. But it feels so much better.

Got my latest bloodwork results back. The Hormones are finally starting to change in the right direction.

"T" went from 378 to 171 and "E" went from 13.2 to 36.8. YAY !!! They increased Estradiol from x mg to x mg now.

Hopefully that will get me into target zone.

Good morning

coffee is good. We had a pretty heavy thunderstorm but it’s over now.  Yes I know that everyone out west would love some rain but it would have to circle the earth to get to you from here.  oops, there it goes again.

packing and moving to the storage unit was the plan for today that might have to change with the weather.  Nothing but feminine clothes left in my closet plus two male outfit for when I have to go to closing.  I need to prove my legal name so being female could hamper that.

well, I guess I need to get my day going.

hugs

I plan on changing my middle name, don't think Allen sounds to feminine. Going with Lorain. Going from TAH to KLH. Actually have a Saturday off. Taking the wagon to a local car show.  The wife was great and cleaned the interior for me.

Our youngest grandson and my middle son are coming to visit today also. :) .

Hugs,

Yes. "Bruce" doesn't really fit anymore. ?

So I changed my name from "Robert Bruce," (Thanks Dad, we already knew you were a history geek) to Robyn Jacqueline. Now I get random people telling me how pretty my name is and my initials are cool enough to take as a nickname if I were so inclined.

My middle name was John (there's no way to femme that) so my initials were RJK. Now they're ESK. Huh, just realized that makes me woman-ESK.

Just feminized my name from Lawrence to Lauren and Patrick to Patricia.  No change to last name.

Started HRT a month ago.  Dosage is still to low for much effect.

I went from Keith Lawrence to Kathy (Kathleen) Lauren.  So, like you, my initials are the same, and my signature has not changed much at all.  In fact, when I changed my driver's license, the clerk thought I had signed my old name by mistake, and had me do it again.

Looks like it's pretty much universal with middle name change. Great minds think alike.

Got my new social security card last week. Just got my new driver's license today with "F" in the gender box. Gender marker change is next. Downloaded forms yesterday from Puerto Rico ?? site. Luckily they were in English. My Dad was in the navy stationed there. I was born in a naval hospital.

About the dosage of my meds, I didn't realize it wasn't allowed. Sorry.

Yeah I've been meaning to decide what I should make my middle name... I only picked my first name cause that's what my mother liked and I'm thinking about doing the same thing for my middle name but the other name she liked was ugly ?... but at the same time I don't want to be disrespectful to her....

I went from Richard Charles to Bri Elaine.  I liked the celtic sound of Bri and no one could make a nickname from it and Elaine was my mother's middle and I wanted to honor her.  Of course if I use the short initials im a BM- lots of nurse jokes there. lol. But that's far better than people thinking they're funny by calling me Dick.   It was bad enough I was curse with one of those, I certainly didn't need the nickname. lol

So what do people do to celebrate this date and what do we call it? Egg crack day just doesn't have a celebratory ring to it.  Mine is July 6 so I'm looking forward to celebrating it like a birthday. I also have my "Coming Out Day" on July 20th. That's going to be celebrated with the first people in my life who I came out to somehow.

Rants are not a problem.  My favorite hobby! :)   What's out there is bad enough that I wonder why some people feel they need to embellish it.  Be alert.   Some of this will need to be fought in court if they try to implement it. If people are out to get me, paranoia is justified.  And this may not be the only document.   Abby
    • Ivy
Not in so many words, therefore it's not there at all.  Excuse my paranoia. And the states passing laws against us are nothing to worry about either. Having to change my gender back to male (like in Florida) is reasonable.  I should just accept it, I mean I was born with a dk.  So that "F" is lie, and a fraud.  My delusions need to be dealt with for my own good.   I'm just frustrated these days.  Just a bit of a rant.
    • Abigail Genevieve
You probably remember the Target PR fiasco.  I remember reading an account from a woman who shopped there.  She went into a stall and did her business, and someone came into the bathroom and began swinging stall doors open, and when she came to her stall, the woman peeked at her through the crack. "What are you doing?" "Checking for perverts." The writer was so stunned by the absurdity that she finished up ASAP and got out of there, while the other woman entered a stall and locked it, made sure it was locked, and locked it again.

      Nothing about eradicating TG folk.
    • Ivy
If 9 out of 10 parts are ok, that doesn't mean I need to accept the bad parts (that are aimed directly at me).  That seems suicidal.
    • Ivy
True, most of it has nothing to do directly with us.  It's the parts that do that are the problem.   I see the  few problematic statements as being a big problem.  Just because a lot of it may be okay, doesn't change that. Even supposing the rest of it might be good for the country, it doesn't help me if I'm being "eradicated".  I suppose I should be good with that, because it's for the "greater good".  If me being gone would please a number of people, then it's my civic duty to disappear, and vote to implement that.
    • Ivy
Yeah.  There are already laws against assault.  I don't think the overwhelming majority of trans women have any desire to harass cis women.  Speaking for myself, if I go into a women's washroom, it's because my eyeballs are already floating - not for kicks.  And I worry about getting clocked and assaulted by some guy being a "hero."
    • Abigail Genevieve
Only three, maybe four, sections even mention transgender.  Most is a conservative agenda I have no problem with.   In the sections that mention transgender, there are very few lines.  Those lines ARE problematic, in every case. Unequivocally.  I can't see some of them standing up in court.  In one case a recommended policy goes against a court decision, which strongly suggests the implementation of that policy would be stopped in court.    Anyone maintaining that this is written simply to support Trump, to support him becoming a dictator, to crush transgender people is feeding you a line.  Nor is it an attempt to erase transgender people.   People will have to decide if the overall goals are worth the few problematic statements.  Overall, I support it.  Of course, I have some reservations.
    • Abigail Genevieve
It is unfamiliar, therefore threatening.   For 90% or so of the population, gender id can be simply and quickly determined by a quick anatomical observation.  They have no understanding and cannot imagine what it would mean to have a body different from the id.  It is unimaginable.  Therefore, wrong.   So there is this strong headwind.   I haven't entered this discussion, but here is a script: A: I can't imagine what it must be to have TG. B: You're a man, right? A: Well, of course. "amused" B: Imagine you were required by law and custom to wear women's clothing all the time. A: It wouldn't happen. B: Okay, but for the sake of the argument... A: That would be disgusting.  I would be very uncomfortable. B: You have it.  That is what TG people go through all the time. 24-7-365. A: Really? B: And then they are told they are perverts for having those feelings.  The same you just described. A: I see. B: And someone comes along and tells you you need conversion therapy so you will be comfortable wearing women's clothing all the time. A: I think I would break his nose. B: You understand transgender folk better than you think.

I have found some people correlate TG = child predator ... just as some have correlated homosexual = child predator...    I am baffled by the TG = unsafe connection ... my wife tends to think this way, that this is all about sexual deviancy ... I try to ask how my preference for wearing frilly socks with embroidered flowers and a comfortable camisole under my lavender T-shirts is sexually deviant (or sexual anything) but I don't get very far...

Best wishes to you as you take this step ... many blessings to you!

Not sure.  The perp is a minor.  The problem here is NOT transgender, the problem here is incompetent and criminal administration.  See https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/family-of-loudoun-co-student-sexually-assaulted-ineptitude-of-all-involved-is-staggering/3231725/ It is more than annoying that people think the problem here is TG and that other people think the solution is some stupid statewide law.  Like an appendectomy to deal with an ingrown toe nail.    Since Loudon, I recall a boy was asked not to use the girl's restroom at a high school by one of the girls.  He, overwhelming her with height and weight,  assaulted her, claiming he had a right to be there.   Later I think eight girls beat him severely in another girl's restroom.  Again the problem is not transgender, the problem is assaults in restrooms and common courtesy.  TG is used as a smokescreen and it seems to paralyze thought among administrators who do not want to do anything to provoke controversy.

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.
