@WillowI learned mandarin, conversational (then lost most of it because I learn fast and if I stop suddenly I forget fast too) and the inflections were the hardest thing to get down. I haven't been to a speech therapist, but I figured out this year that with my anxiety I've always talked two octaves higher than my natural tone. And I chose to enunciate well at a young age (not knowing that that caused others to see me as more feminine, yay elementary school). This last two years I have been practicing my butt off to get better at singing, and I've always tried to do accents. I was sorrows at how fast I could acclimate to very high tones and all the rest I've mostly had.

I agree with that but in my current state of affairs, it isn't that I'm not "good enough" but rather, I don't have what she needs anymore.  The love and commitment is there, but by transitioning, I put us up against a four way stop sign. Go straight ahead to a destination neither likes, turn left or right toward one of the other's needs, or get out of the car and start walking in different directions.  The problem is NONE of these options is what we want and there's no turning around.  The reality is at our age, the "sexual" part isn't going to be long lived in either of us assuming we even found someone that we would want to be with. We know we want to be with each other forever in some form of partnership/companionship.

I love the 4 way stop analogy. That's where we were. We took the straight ahead road. It's not easy, but is working. I hope whatever road you decide on, that it works for you. Just so you know, the straight ahead road is a curvy one. Sometimes she gets her way and sometimes I get my way.

I think a lot of people question their sexuality throughout their lives. Sometimes people stay in the lane they were assigned because they feel they must follow the rules. When they're exposed to someone who's doing things differently and enjoying the ride, some people look into themselves to see what they may be lacking in their lives. Some may or may not give you a warning before they hit the blinker and abruptly change lanes. Others wait for that other driver to go speeding by then hit the gas and follow since were they're sort of going the same direction. And yet some just stay in their lane and drive the speed limit, eyes on the road, never looking at the scenery.

@Elizabeth Star so well said and I agree. It took me 60+ years to find that darn blinker.

So, that isn't just an old person thing, LOL.

Up early today. My wife got her car back from getting the exhaust done, yesterday. SO she dropped me off to bring our other car home. getting ready to hop in the shower, do my nails, and get ready for my GYN appointment. Going with a knee length light summer skirt(light urban camo) and maybe find a plain tank or t shirt( nothing on it)

I do believe that my wife is accepting more. She teased about about the other old lady with shorter hair, driving our white crown vic. The one she has been driving when her car was in the shop. So, the wins are getting more and more. I hope it lasts.

I lived in Thailand and learned to speak Thai.  That language is all about inflection my feminine voice is getting better and it kind of fun working on it.

That's very cool. It's amazing when you realize synergy with an experience or acquired skill that applies to another goal.

...speaking of synergy, @Alice_Sybilina I've heard you mention Chakra work. I've found mindfulness of the vibration of higher Chakras V most illuminating for realizing greater ease of vocal range for singing.

Excellent elaboration. I was driving as fast as possible in the assigned lane, desperately trying to rig together the pieces that were coming apart whilst in motion; if I were the fastest, I would win, right? Then one day I pulled over and took a nature walk to a lovely quiet place where I've been ever since.

Well said Liz.

Like Shay, it took me over 60 years to figure out there even was a blinker.

Hugs,

Mike

Liz that is a perfect analogy, my problem is it took me nearly 64 years to figure out that not only was I in the wrong lane but also going in the wrong direction.

We rescued this guy in February. He was a cat who hung ahold my daughter's neighborhood and in November my wife and daughter helped him after he'd been beaten up in a fight with a racoon we suspect based on injuries. In February weather so cold and my wife's husband wouldn't let him in so we rescued him and he has been an amazing cat .... his name is Frank.

@April-Showers I am so glad you do what you do - thank you...

@Bri2020, I believe this is what will allow you two to keep going forward.  It's the foundation of a long-lasting relationship.  A strong foundation can withstand upheaval support all kinds of renovation.  Hang in there, and keep being true to yourself.

@Vidanjalimy Chakras were a mess until more recently. My main problem was my solar plexus Chakra, couldn't figure how what I wanted to do. Now I'm working biggest on my throat Chakra.

Good morning.  Getting ready to check out and drive home.  Yesterday was my third high volume electrolysis session.  Starting show results.  More than the years of electro I had prior.  This is good.

Fresh blueberries from the farm and a home made blueberry pie and a hot cups coffee. How better to start a day? Now on to the tractor to get the cut hay ready to bale by making windrows. This afternoon I’ll be in a skirt taking my wife to the eye doc. Great day ahead. Hugs, Charlize

Great!  You can help pick up the hay in the afternoon and move it to storage.......  Definitely a breakfast of champions!  If i stop eating blueberries every day i'm afraid my blue eyes may turn brown.

Hugs,

Charlize
