Hey something else the don’t tell you is the bigger the band size the bigger the cup based on that theory if and this is a big if, you measure 40B but it clearly too big a cup, try a 38B with an extender in the band.

my wife did my makeup today.  She did it as a tutorial (she used to be a Mary Kay person). Unfortunately I had a visual migraine and couldn’t see what she was doing.  I’ll have to get her to do it again.   Actually still have the migraine in spite of taking meds.  I may have to take my migraine prescription medication if this doesn’t soon work.

When I went to the fancy local lingerie shop to get measured, they said I was a 38A.  I think they were being kind, or else their chart did not go down to a 38AA.  They actually had some 38As in stock, but I couldn't fill any of them.  I ended up with a 36B, which I wear with an extender.

Oh well, what they lack in quantity, they make up for in quality.  :D  They may be small, but they are cute.

I couldn't quote just the last part of your post from my phone.

I feel the same way about my girls ?

If you really want to be correctly fitted, find a bra fitter for women who have had breast cancer, and a mastectomy.  They can do wonders for anyone.p, and they will have bras in stock, or can order.  Also breast forms.

I think you'll find that most brands measure slightly different.  Because some measure band size above the breast and others below.  I think having my wife help me with the measurements also helped. Eventually I found a brand that showed on their website exactly how they measured and I found a bra that I liked and actually fit.  I have had to change sizes over the last 5 years though.   Also sometimes breast shape can affect which type of bra fits best, for example I  use a demi cup or Balconette bra and they work well.  Hope this helps.

Ugh, well, I'm seriously disappointed. My monthly local trans group was supposed be be this evening, but it seemed to just...not happen today. There was no notice of cancellation or change in time or place or anything. Just, nobody was there.

I was really looking forward to it, too. I don't have much else socially in person, and nothing else this whole week other than work. So that really sucked. (I don't know, can I use that word here?) So I picked up some grocery basics and came back to the empty house. (Well, empty aside from the furry little distraction generator, of course, and tons of inanimate stuff from the storage unit I cleared out a few months ago. But still feels really empty here this week.)

My regular therapist and my gender therapist used to just happen to fall on alternating weeks, but about a month or so ago things happened and by chance, they both would up on the same weeks. I should probably change that back, having the occasional full week to myself doesn't seem to be a good thing for me.

My support group has started alternating this week it is in person. next week it is online. Of course in Person is in Denver.

Oh, I hate that manufacturers think that.  You have a big chest so your breasts have to be large. Makes as much sense as the Asian measurements.

Got somethings accomplished today. Got my middle sons dr. rear door sanded down. He hit a pole and his wifes brother put another door on it. I am going to finish it. Of course it is a special color and had to special order it.

I also joined the large wheel bagger club. I swapped my 19" front wheel to a 21". So, I have new rubber on both ends. The wife is taking tomorrow off. So we are going to put some miles on the new rubber.

Hugs

Omg, may not be the same thing you're talking about, I suspect, but asian clothes mess with my mind so bad. There's SOOO much that is SOOO insanely cute and I want so badly, but heck, I have trouble finding men's clothes big enough for me from western clothing companies. The largest sizes I could get from amazing places like bestkawaii.com, I feel like they'd fit a stuffed toy better than they'd fit me. And even if I could get them in my size, they'd just look weird on me... ?  Ugh, well, I guess at the very least it helps hammer home through my thick skull that, yeap, I'm very much girl on the inside!

I was at least able to get one thing from them that fit me. My favorite earring ?https://bestkawaii.com/products/butterfly-earrings

I like to shop Shein online. Had pretty good luck with them. The only thing I don't like is the 2 piece outfits. You can't order top larger than bottom.

Oh, yeah, I've gradually learned that for bottom undergarments, I really need to go quite a bit smaller than "my size", otherwise certain unconstrained growths down there just don't get properly held in check and in place. (Wish I had more that actually fit the bill...) But thanks for the shop recommendation, I'll definitely check them out!

I finally had a chance to use that bra calculator. It said I'm a 36c.  I have been thinking it may be time to up-size since I'm usually feeling a little crushed by the end of the day but I'm still skeptical and don't want to get ahead of myself.

I feel that clothing manufactures sizes are all over the place on purpose. when you finally find a size that fits and styles you like you keep going back to them. I know my closet is all over the place. Tops are anywhere from a M (4-6) to an XL (16-18), jeans from 8-14.

Have my first official appointment with my new name today. It's an optometrist but still counts as medical, I think. I had to fill out pre-appointment forms that included questions about any meds I'm taking. Hopefully there won't be any follow-up questions. Now I'm just trying to think of what to wear. Being hot out and at the end of the week I'm pretty much out of cute summer clothes until I do laundry.

Then it's my first time...off to the nail salon. I'd like to get my brows done while I'm at it since it looks like I have caterpillars above my eyes but the emotional cost to my partner may be to high at this point.

Argh! Time to get dressed and get some stuff done but first, more coffee.

Have a great day, everyone.

@Elizabeth Star girl love your measurement. Congrats. It's nice to have medical people use your real name. I actually love going to pharmacy, Dermatologist, doctor, dentist, electrologist and get healthcare where I always get called Heather and I just love it. Eyebrows? I doctor mine because I don't have much anyway.

Go get your coffee and enjoy your day lady.

I've only been to a dentist where I shared my meds to. No questions asked. With "Jamie Michelle" and nail polish it was pretty obvious why those meds, not to mention boobs that don't look like man boobs.

Good morning

Regarding on line clothing, I agree they have a lot of cute things advertised.  Then it takes longer than you thought to get and doesn’t fit when you get it.  We’ve given up on online clothing purchases for that reason.

I had lost interest in our trip to the west but now that we are leaving tomorrow I’m feeling better about going.  It’s just a lot of driving and I’m going to have to do most of it.

hugs

I feel the same way. I found that both Bitten and Lee Jeans fit me right in my size 18. Most everything I wear is XL(18-20) but panties which is L(7)

I feel your pain here. I have CHRONIC white girl-butt. My father has no backside whatsoever. I blame him.

However, by working out very hard, I have attained a small, but serviceable backside. It's not what I was hoping for, but it's the right shape.

Hugs!

My eye Dr. appointment went pretty good. She did ask me what all the meds were for. I just said I was assigned male at birth (maybe not as obvious as i though) and that was the end of it. I wasn't treated any differently that I'm aware of.

My partner isn't feeling good so we rescheduled salon day for tomorrow. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is better for her. I could go by myself but I really want her to be part of my experience.

I did manage to book a vacation for us next month. From Northern IL to Mackinaw City, MI. Neither one of us can do long car rides anymore so we're making an overnight stop in Muskegon on the way there and Benton Harbor on the way back to do some sight seeing.

Otherwise I'm not motivated to do anything today. Just watching TV with my furry kids.

Liz, Mackinaw Island is a great vacation. I highly recommend the historical horse drawn carriage ride around the Island. My Suzie is less mobile than I am, and going anywhere on the Mack was a horse drawn taxi ride away. We loved it!

I went through Mackinac city about 2 years ago. Had to stop at the Harley Dealership there. Haven't been to the island since I was a kid, 7-8 maybe. yeah, It has been a while.

24 years ago tomorrow was the scariest and hardest day I have ever faced. My youngest was born, 10 weeks early. He weighted 3.5 # In Aug 13, 1997 I had taken my wife to the hospital. She just couldn't warm up. I stayed till about 10pm. The went home to our other 2. Not knowing I showed up about 10am at the hospital with a change of clothes for my wife. Thinking I would just take her home.

When I walked up to the nurses station. I asked if my wife was in the same room.

I got, "We had a baby"

my response was "we had a what?"

I get to my wife's room, My son is already gone to NIcu. My wife is having breathing problems. She had developed pneumonia. So I go up with her to the ICU. I am having to wait outside while they get her settled, and all hooked.  My mind is going absolutely bonkers. What if I lost my wife, how would I care for a new born, and 2 older ones, then what happens if I lost our youngest. How would we cope.

Well the goddess was watching over them, both came out OK. My son spent 2 months in the NICU.

Hugs to all,

Kymmie

My wifes sister passed away last week. We went to her service Saturday. My wife is imuneo compromized. She has been sick ever since. Been to emergency room 3 times since then. They follow a care protocol with her. Last night her mom called her to tell her that her neice went to Washington state with COVID. Her daughter and husbans were at my wifes sisters service and my wife huged both of them. Now we both have to go to the hospital and get tested. I am SO angry right now.

Wow, That's messed up. I can't get over how reckless some people are these days.

People who are out publicly, and openly transgender, maybe on HRT, having changed names and gender, have a lot to lose if anti-trans politicians take power.  They have openly called for our eradication, and promise to do everything they can to accomplish this.  (again, 2025) For someone in this position the election is about our survival.  It's foolish to delude ourselves into thinking "Oh, they don't really mean that.  It's all for show," or, "There's other more important things to concern ourselves with." Maybe for some people the other things take priority.  But if you have skin in the game, things look different.

If that happens, a lot of things I don't want to see might also be codified into law.  And some things that shouldn't be law might not get repealed.  To me, progress in one area isn't worth the price we'd have to pay in several other areas.     For me, voting on LGBTQ issues always ends up as an "out of the frying pan, but into the fire" sort of event.

Thea, your post made me think of a comic named Chloe Petts whom I saw recently on Hannah Gadsby's Gender Agenda comedy special on Netflix. She is a cisgender masculine lesbian. She is brilliant and so funny. I was intrigued by her identification - specifically masculine, not butch. And it seems to me there is a difference.

Today I had a dr appt. When I checked in, I was asked my surname, which I gave. Apparently there were two patients with appointments at that time with that same surname. The receptionist asked, "Are you (my legal name which is feminine) or Paul?" I got such a kick out of it not being assumed I had the feminine name.
    • Vidanjali
That must have felt affirming, albeit perhaps weirdly so. However, I'd construe that more broadly (no pun intended) as sexism rather than misogyny where the latter would imply contempt. Also, incidentally, I've heard chivalry referred to as "benevolent sexism".

My boss is in a panic. His business is a couple straws away from breaking a camel in half. He's just handling the stress very poorly.   My dad, though. He's handling things pretty well, as long as I continue to don't get massively offended by being called: son, boy, etc. His eldest is leaving the State and looks so different than he's been used to over the years. I haven't told him I'm on HRT, but to be fair the changes haven't been massive. I've always had boobs, more so after COVID weight gain and made more obvious with its loss, but now I'm not hiding them--and obviously wearing a bra. The estrogen has done some work, but nothing major (sadly). I think the biggest HRT changes have been my skin and a mild amount of fat redistribution.   Today I'm wearing my cheater, I almost have cleavage! :D I need to get another t-shirt bra to keep a good rotation. I only have two, one push-up, and the rest are unlined (great for Summer, but not great for my Summer wardrobe ).

I eat a ketogenic diet and have had no problems. I don't know about your case but I suspect it is the estrogen. Research the types of ways to take estrogen. Pay close attention to the bloodwork results. If they are not satisfactory, bring it up with your doctor. I take injectables, which are fully covered by insurance. It may not be the route for you, but something to consider. I emphasize to do your research and good luck. You can solve this. Be persistent.    Jennifer

This is my opinion, so take it for that. Fatigue is based more on what you eat. Eat a more healthy diet, and stay away from ultra-processed foods and that should help. Think of eating the way we did a couple hundred years ago before the industrial revolution. It's just a thought.   Jennifer
