Good afternoon everyone,

@KymmieLI'm sorry your travel plans were changed. We have a young friend who is attending college in Billings, MT and she was wanting to drive back for Christmas. Looking at the weather forecast, caused several of us safety minded elders to advise her on the need for Winter Survival Gear requirements. This was also followed up with recommendations to resist the urge to drive, stay there and we'll mail you your Christmas gifts. Well just minutes ago she sent out a text saying that she will not be driving anywhere. We're all sad, will miss her, but it's the right decision.

@WillowI think everyone enjoys Complimentary Coffee.:coffee:

Hugs,

Good evening friends

so nice to gather around the pot of coffee.

I had two doctors appointments today.  The first said he didn’t want to see me again.  Unless, of course, something changes dramatically.  ie, I’m in good health as far as he is concerned and don’t require his specialty.

The second started with a barium swallow test.  When it was over, they discovered it didn’t save the images so I had to take it a second time.  Turns out my choking spells are because my epiglottis doesn’t close completely when I swallow and opens before all the food has passed which traps food in my throat.  The last appointment was for my quarterly Botox injections to control my throat muscle spasms.  Two more for me next week and one for my wife.

@Mmindy I like to take a break after I drink my first morning cup too!

Remember to check on your friends.  December is the worst month for depression and suicides, especially for people like us who tend to be alone.

hugs.

So I guess, at 50... I am in that teenager puberty experimentation phase in transition now that things have settled and I have basically socially trans'ed.

I am going to be clocked, so I am kinda like why not have fun with my presentation a little and feel out the edges a bit.

I am sort of giving up the binary rigidity at the same time pretty much getting used to being misgendered, so I although I still put the same effort into femme presentation, it just doesn't trip me up as much. know who I am.

I also seem to be exploring different relationships with others and finding my own boundaries.

I resent that tendancy for most cis people to put trans people in a corner, either consciously or not, that we will always somehow be less equal or relevant and I don't feel that about myself at all. I have the same emotional needs, desires and fears. I deserve happiness like anyone else, and I cannot let anyone stand in my way.

Good morning to all.

I thought I’d better get this sent since the post office said today was the last day for first class mail.

I hope everyone caught in the latest storm to cross the states made it through ok.  I also hope our New England friends are ok and can dig out quickly.  We were fortunate here only some overnight rain when it came through.

Regardless of your beliefs, may the holidays bring you and your family and friends peace, love and joy.

hugs to all

Willow, it's good to know that for the most part you physically healthy.

Two rounds of barium in one doctors visit is terrible. They should have given you free drink gift cards for your favorite establishment after that. However they seam to have figured out you gag reflex.

Your reminder about December being the worst for depression and suicides, is so important and easily overlook this time of year. It's important to watch for key phrases on their social media as well. Once you've suspected self harm or worse. Keep them engaged and talking/chatting to give time for that harmful thought or time period to pass.

Words of wisdom. @Mmindy This time of year can be rough for people. I look at my own situation, both my father in law and brother in law going with in 10 days. Its been rough on wife let alone me.

Yesterday was a good day. Va appointment, then breakfast at Denny's, then to the bank in Ft Collins. Show them my BIL death certificate. Oh, my wife only had a copy of her dads. More waiting? come to find out my stepmother in law had already presented an original copy to the bank in MI. So hopefully the gal at the Ft Collins branch can coordinate with the branch in MI and get the documents looked over by the legal dept and my wife can finally get her inheritance.

Then to the Harley dealership to drool, I mean do some xmas shopping. Final stop 4wheel parts to drool some more. I mean window shop.

It was nice to spend the day with the wife.

Hugs,

Kymmie

Felt like it could have snowed here last night.  Well, felt like and reality aren’t the same.  But I was cold during the night.

@KymmieL glad you accomplished so many things and did so with your wife.  I too occasionally drool over the motorcycle shops, but then reality sets in.  I also drool over the free sailboat listings or free boats. I saw a couple last night that had me intrigued but reality set in and I stopped looking.  Maybe someday I’ll have a boat again.

almost all free boat listings have issues beyond my means to fix but two were quite interesting one was in Jacksonville NC and I have friends there.  The other was in Maine.   The one in Maine was the more interesting one but would need a new deck.  If the ribs are ok, I’d take off the deck cover it with marine plywood and fiberglass.  Not real easy but reliable and not super costly, and dyi.  The one in Jacksonville is a power boat, so with fuel prices such as they are I would not be able to take it out much.  Either would give me a place to live if that became necessary.

Well I guess I’ll just have too see what the future should bring.

not  much sense getting too excited about any new projects right now.

Not looking forward to tomorrow and Tuesday.  Tomorrow my wife has to be in Charleston for surgery by 10, and I have to start the dreaded prep for Tuesday’s appointment.

such is life as we age.

Met up with an ex of mine this morning. She has been good about my transition and even supported me.I admit I took my anger on her a couple times when we dated which I regret to this day.She seen the positive change when I started on the HRT

I picture my ex-GF coming back with a extreme right wing response if I was to tell her that I was trans.  I'm still quite scared of seeing her again - she was a very angry woman with episodes of violence.

That sounds scary... but you can always hope she's changed and calmed down some?

My GF is still very intense, but I guess her relationship with my husband many years ago was extremely stormy.  I guess she was pretty physical.  They've had a couple of arguments since they married where she screamed and threw a fit, chucking packets of Ramen at him across the kitchen.  He tells me she's so much calmer in her 30's 🤔

I guess I've been fortunate to avoid relationship drama like that...a rare perk of being late to the party and not having a relationship of any kind until age 26.  😔

Beat me by at least 10 years - had to wait until ~37 to be asked out on a date, I've never initiated.

Sounds kind of like me...I initiated a couple of times, and after rejection I never had the courage to try again.  I'd probably still be single if my GF hadn't found me.  I was out shopping, and she cornered me and wouldn't let me go until we'd swapped numbers.  I still have no idea what she saw in me that she liked.

So an update from me.   Had my endo appointment last night. Went very well and they are sending 3 months supply of estrogen (estradoil patches) and the anti-androgens whilst my Dr gets a shared care agreement sorted out. So happy, should start HRT tomorrow!! Cost for the 3 month supply is £70 total for me, so not too bad. Not told my parents about this yet, but them being in spain, not sure they need to know yet.   Can't wait to start, just got to think about where to put the patches now and wait for the changes...

Good Morning    well it’s Friday for most, pay day for some.  For me it’s pay day but not Friday.  I work the same opening shift tomorrow.  I typically have Friday on Saturday and Monday on Tuesday.     @KymmieL it does sound like your shop has an issue and you are smack in the thick of it.  The new gal or guy often is.  We have an issue with new people not getting fully trained before being turned loose on customers.  Some struggle through it and some quit because of it.  I try to get them working with customers as quickly as I can but I stay right with them observing, helping, even jumping in when things are getting backed up to keep the stress down.  Not everything comes up during training so when things do, even later after trying is done, I try to help and explain.  Our ASM feels that once she has you scanning barcodes and taking money she is done training.  Generally, refuses to train me on things that she does, and questions why I’m doing something that she normally handles when I’ve been told to do it as part of my advancement training.     She and the cashier involved both keep trying to toss the manager under the bus over a hours of work issue and shifts.  I tell her I realize her issues and I’ll work what ever she needs.  Because of that I tend to get a better more consistent schedule.   Well, time to say Happy Trails to you, until we meet again.   Hi ho Silver, away   Willow

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.

I firmly believe I drank entirely to much for about 25 years. Got drunk every day. This was my coping mechanism to keep hiding deep inside that I was a woman. I miss a lot of signs over the years. Now I drink mabye 1 or 2 beers a day don't even get a buzz anymore. totally accept myself and on regret is that I hide that part of my self which  truly makes me happy being violet 💜. I wasted a lot of time before  being self destructive and had no clue I was just hiding th real me

Is it a safe and friendly area for us to go.  The wife and I are looking for some where to go to allow me to be my true self.     thanks in advance

Hey, everyone. my life is going down the tubes. at least I think. So, today. A customer called about his car, I told him that the oil change was done. The parts to fix the check engine light are ordered. He can come and get it. For the weekend if he wants. Customer says I didn't want an oil change. it was check the engine light and check for an oil leak. Checking the work order says oil change. The boss wrote the vehicle up. checking with the customer on services wanted.   Being that I wrote down the appointment in the book. and clearly states oil leak. She is complaining because she can't read my small ish writing. It seems she read oil and assumed it as an oil change. It seems like she is blaming me.  She wound up going home because she was too upset. She is stressing about an eye problem she has, she has to get eye surgery it seems she has a tear in her eye.    I feel that I am short for this job. because of the BS they are blaming me on. Plus I am still upset about the trust issue. If either one of the bosses start their Shite tomorrow. I am walking out.

"I love you so much,"  Lois said.  They met in the driveway. "I could not live without you." "Neither could I." "What are we going to do?" "Find another counselor?" "No. I think we need to solve this ourselves." "Do you think we can?" "I don't know.  But what I know is that I don't want to go through that again.  I think we have to hope we can find a solution." "Otherwise, despair." "Yeah.   Truce?" "Okay,  truce." And they hugged.   "When we know what we want we can figure out how to get there."   That began six years of angry battles, with Odie insisted he could dress as he pleased and Lois insisting it did not please her at all.  He told her she was not going to control him and she replied that she still had rights as a wife to a husband. Neither was willing to give in, neither was willing to quit, and their heated arguments ended in hugs and more.   They went to a Crossdressers' Club, where they hoped to meet other couples with the same problems, the same conflicts, and the same answers, if anyone had any.  It took them four tries before they settled on a group that they were both willing to participate in.  This was four couples their own age, each with a cross dressing husband and a wife who was dealing with it.  They met monthly.  It was led by a 'mediator' who wanted people to express how they felt about the situation.  Odie and Lois, as newcomers, got the floor, and the meeting was finally dismissed at 1:30 in the morning - it was supposed to be over at 10 - and everyone knew how they felt about the situation.   There was silence in the car on the way home.   "We aren't the only ones dealing with this." Odie finally said.   "Who would have thought that?  You are right."   "Somebody out there has a solution." "I hope you are right."   "I hope in hope, not in despair."   "That's my Odie."
    • Abigail Genevieve
The counseling session was heated, if you could call it a counseling session.  Sometimes Lois felt he was on Odie's side, and sometimes on hers.  When he was on her side, Odie got defensive. She found herself being defensive when it seemed they were ganging up on each other.   "This is not working," Lois said angrily, and walked out.  "Never again. I want my husband back. Dr. Smith you are complicit in this."   "What?" said Odie.   The counselor looked at him.  "You will have to learn some listening skills."   "That is it? Listening skills?  You just destroyed my marriage, and you told me I need to learn listening skills?"   Dr. Smith said calmly,"I think you both need to cool off."   Odie looked at him and walked out, saying "And you call yourself a counselor."   "Wait a minute."   "No."
