I should have read Birdies comment before writing mine down. 🙄

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

The German perspective is very interestingly similar to the Hebrew. It's good to get perspectives from many sources.

Also in the Hebrew the words have become derogatory in use. It seems that the word "Intersex" was adopted into Hebrew from English in order to bridge that gap by using a word not deemed derogatory.

1st cup of coffee and today should be a great day. I have a day at the mall shopping planned. I'll hit the clearance racks and maybe pick up a new bra 🤔

I have known of the word androgyn too since we have many greek words in our language too, androgyn has not became derogatory, but I have known this word used for feminine male and masculine woman, but have never heard it used as synonym to intersex. So am I right intersex is your preference?

And before I forget good morning to you all

"If" I need to clarify to a stranger, "intersex" would be my first choice in words.

I of course prefer that I don't have too clarify, and would rather just blend in.

The Hebrew version of "andirog'inos" is viewed as synonymous with hermaphrodite, where "Saris" is viewed as a feminine male. The world might be adopted from the greek but didn't receive the exact meaning when adopted.

Good morning everyone,:coffee::coffee::coffee:

Alessia, your choice of Avitar/AVI is a good one, and no one will pressure you to post real time pictures of yourself. You'll know when you feel comfortable with it. Everyone that I've encountered here is very supportive, and only make suggestive comment when you ask for comments or help.

Yesterday my wife got a private message from one of her cousins, warning us that a planned family reunion taking place in Eureka Springs, AR in two weeks, is happening during the height of Pride Month. Eureka Springs, AR is the Capital of Pride and the Gay community. The message sounded like a negative warning, and solicited her opinion. She read the response to me, and it was comforting that she told this cousin to react with respect, and understand you have a choice to spectate or participate. The choice was hers. We will not be changing our plans to see family in a community that seems to be open minded and inclusive. If family members choose to avoid this long time planned family gathering because there's another long time planned event going on at the same time. It's their closed mind that will cause them to miss a fun family gathering. I thanked her with a smile when she read her response to me. Then I said wait until they get a load of me... I won't be flamboyant with my presentation, but I will be supporting my colors. Several of her family members know about my coming out, and while not totally supportive, they aren't negative towards us. The majority of this family was raised Pentecostal, and focus on living in the Bible Belt for a reason. We're not going to let them spoil our fun, and visit to Eureka Springs, AR.

The Chinese food place addressed me as "ma'am" again. Even the Torrid SA didn't know until she looked up my account.

And I'm just wearing shorts and a tshirt. 😉

Why the day center won't let me use the girl's room is beyond me. 🤔

I'm telling folks I'm riding on a trolley in tomorrow's Pride Parade--they all ask "What will you be wearing?" I did not plan what to wear and now I'm panicked. What? What should I wear? A wig? Does this mean I'll also have to play guitar for the Doobie Brothers? Tsk, tsk.

Alas, the wig didn't ship in time, however, I did show up, show off, and had great fun at the Boston Pride Parade!

Good Morning y'all!

Just a lazy day at home planned today, nothing really special.

I'll make my coffee here in a bit as soon as I get up enough energy to do so.

A friend might join me for lunch later, so I guess I'll make gluten free vegetarian pizza.

Have a wonderful day y'all!

Nice Sunday Summer Sunday and always think positive!

Good morning Natalianatalia,

It's unseasonably dry and cool here in Central Indiana, USA. I try my best and for the most part am a positive thinker. I do have some personal stressors out side of my trans issues. They are work related, and normal, according to my therapist. I hope you had a wonderful Sunday, and your week goes well.

Good morning Birdie,

I'm guessing you're using a mobile device to check in to coffee talk. My morning routine doesn't start until coffee is brewing. I'm so impatient that my first cup is from a Kuerig, while the larger pot brews.

My arthritic hands won't allow me to use my mobile device while laying in bed. Once coffee is brewing, I take my morning medications, and eat a small cup of yogurt or rice pudding. Our real breakfast meal is more of a brunch around 10:30 once my wife is up, and gone through her morning rituals. She's a night owl, and I'm a morning bird.

Hug,

Well good morning y'all. Not feeling good today so I might skip on church today. Stomach is in knots, nauseous and have cold sweats. I'm hoping this goes away soon because I really want to go to church because there is going to be a guest preacher who has been doing it for over 65 years.

Hopefully the church service is in a couple of hours, and your stomach has time to settle out, or pass whatever is going on.

Hope you feel better soon,

It's a cool day here. There was a storm throughout the night. The only thing that sucks about the rain is the humidity that comes after and it can get pretty bad in the south of the US. The temperature could say 70 or 80 something but that humidity sure can make a difference.

happy trans birthday! I can't speak personally on the subject, but I hope hormones bring you the changes you're looking for <3

That’s super healthy, to see that something that becomes common has less effect on you and that you are able to decipher these feelings.   Sadly, this trend tends to only deaden good feelings as we tend not to let bad feelings attenuate the same way.   I have noticed less euphoria, but still feel the dysphorias that I have. Sometimes the good sneaks in and reminds me, but often time it’s just me seeing myself in the mirror and being comfortable about what I see when embracing my realized self. I may not get the same buzz I once did, but I don’t feel incongruous when looking at a more “drab” reflection.    Wishing you strength, you are amazing!

Congratulations! and Happy Trans Birthday @LittleSam! That is such a BIG milestone.  I can still remember walking out of my clinic with my first HRT presciption.  I was on Cloud-9.  Wishing you all the best in the start of your new Journey!

maebe thank you I try to be. I thank God for blessings, try to share them, beg forgiveness for my shortcomings n vow to try to do better...2 priests have said no, God doesn't condemn you just for being trans...but apparently evangelicals do   I shall vtry dear thank you

Meet him at the being good to others part of Christianity. At the heart of it, there are excellent tenets of the faith. Those that condemn are judging, Jesus would have us be selfless; stone casting and all that. Are you a good person? Are you putting good into the world? If your gender is an issue for God, let God judge. In the mortal realm, let your actions be heard.

and just fi sweeten it..I'm catholic n he hasn't been for years..he's evangelical..whatever that is

Let’s stick to cite-able fact. Most of my posts have been directly in relation to LGBTQ+ rights as it pertains to P2025 and I have drawn direct links between people, their quotes, and their agenda. I have made reference to the cronyism that P2025 would entail as well, by gutting, not cutting, broad swathes of government and replacing it with “conservative warriors” (I can get you the direct quote, but rest assured it’s a quote). All this does is constantly force the cogs to be refitted, not their movement. To say that agencies have directly defied a President is a bit much, the EPA did what Trump told them to do at the direct harm to the environment, the department of agriculture did the same by enacting the administrations forced move to KC which decimated the USDA.      How about Betsy DeVoss for Education? Or Bannon for anything? What about the revolving Chief of Staff position that Trump couldn’t stay filled? Or the Postmaster General, who did much to make the USPS worse?   Let’s not mix politics with racism, sexism, or any other ism. Because Trump made mainly white, male, appointments—many of them not, arguably, people fit for service—or unwilling to commit to term. I can argue this because, again, he’s up for election and will do what he did before (and more of the same, his words).   Please delineate how the selected diversity appointments have negatively affected the US, other than being black, women, or queer? Representation matters and America benefits when its people are inspired and empowered.

When I first started figuring things out, I got a lot more euphoria. Every time a friend would use he/they pronouns for me, I'd get this bubbly feeling, and seeing myself look masculine made me really happy. Dysphoric state felt more normal, so I guess I noticed the pain it caused me less.   Now, it's more just that my pronouns and such things feel natural, and dysphoria is a lot stronger -- I know what's natural, so experiencing the opposite is more jarring than everything. The problem is, most of my natural experiences are from friends, and I rarely get properly gendered by strangers, much less by my family. I've found myself unable to bind in months due to aches, colds,, and not wanting to risk damage.    It partially makes me want to go back to the beginning of my journey, because at least then I got full euphoria. I'm pretty sure it'll be like this until I medically transition, or at the very least get top surgery (you know all those trans dudes online with tiny chests? Not me, unfortunately). It's a bit depressing, but at least I know that, eventually, there's a way out of this.

Major mood, right here ^^^    I've listened to Lumineers to a long time (a major portion of it by osmosis via my mom), so that is almost painfully relatable

As for getting a button-up/formal pants suit, you can try to talk to her more -- Cis women in tuxes have worn tuxes in recent years, after all, (for example, Zendaya) so it can still be a relatively safe topic. For jumpsuits, I'd recommend going with a simple one with a blazer, if you can -- this'll make it look overall more masculine. There's a lot of good brands, but going for one without a lot of extra glitz on it will make it look less feminine under a blazer. I don't know many specific brands though since I usually just get my stuff from chain stores, sorry :<   When it comes to your hair, if you can't cut it, you can look up tutorials on fluffing it up instead. If you can pull it off, it can look a lot shorter and more androgynous instead!
