@Ivy I always love your responses to other’s comments.

Good morning everyone,

We’re spending the weekend with our daughter’s family, because it’s her oldest son’s birthday, aka our grandson. The cool thing is she shares my dedication to coffee. Hot, black and strong.

Happy Saturday

Hi, everyone!

I haven't been posting much - and am missing the interaction.

We are still nursing our two Labs. While the 13 year old seems to have recovered from the Vestibular Syndrome, our youngest has been confirmed with a rare and aggressive cancerous spinal tumor. We are walking the tightrope of quality of life day by day. Although we can see her conditioning worsening, she is still happy and pain free...and eating like a typical Lab. We've got a radiation oncology consult set for the coming week, but not really holding out much hope given the progression we've already seen. She's getting lots of snuggles, butt scratches, belly rubs and treats. Medication wrapped in turkey lunchmeat is a winner!!

The Prednisone increases her desire for water...which means more walks. She's currently on about an every-four-hour pee schedule so I'm setting an alarm at night to make sure she's OK. That's better than every 1 to 2 hours when both dogs were sick.

Our hearts a broken - she's only 8 and such a love bug. Life can be cruel. But, we have some amazing memories to last forever once she crosses the Rainbow Bridge.

I'll stop in and post as I can.

Missing you all!

I've had a good weekend so far.  Friday night especially so.  Went out with my husband, sister, friends, one of my female partners, and a couple of their coworkers.  Had some really great food and drinks.

I actually started out kind of lethargic and depressed....then my husband stepped in.  I still can't believe he did this, but it cracked me up (and everybody else).  Dang I wish I had a video.  He did a karaoke version of Britney Spears' "Oops I did it again."  Clearly it was for me, because I'm about the only person around here who actually likes her stuff.  But the way he did it was a real performance, some moves and all.  Including a version of the way she flips her hair (he's got a fluffy hairstyle).  Most guys wouldn't even do something like this, for fear of losing their masculinity.  But he doesn't care, and did it just to amuse me....shockingly well. 💘  I perked up, and maybe had a bit too much wine.  I curled up in his lap towards the end of the evening, and I must have fallen asleep because I woke up with him carrying me into the house. 🥰

I spent most of today working outside, followed by a nice dinner....haven't had to work to hard, and nobody has stressed me out.  I could use more of this!

Sounds like you got a really good husband awkward, they aren't easy to find.

My Saturday shopping excursion went well. I only spent $15 on things. This was my last one until next month due to 4 surgeries I have scheduled.

I spent most of the time folding blouses and chatting with the girls. I picked up lip gloss at JC Penny's and they threw a sample sized Rachel Zoe 'Wild' perfume in my bag. Oh my do I love it! 💞

I checked on their website and it's only $75 for a 3.4 oz bottle 😲

I'll but a bottle next month, but it will be for 'very' special occasions!

In the morning I'll have my coffee then organised my closet (I bought a new clothes rack because I'm running out of room).

If that isn't true love like in the fairy tales sort of way then I don't know what it would be. I can only dream of something like that. Even just as simple as making a meal together with some music and dancing while getting it done. Well I guess I can only dream. :(

There is one thing I have noticed. If I'm actively 'looking', I find 'nothing'!

When I give up and 'stop looking', that is when interesting prospects start showing up on their own.

I think we give off the wrong vibes when we are 'looking'. Attract the wrong types!

I'll give it a shot and see what happens I guess. I wasn't trying the last two times. It was just bad luck I guess.

That was something I learned many years ago.  I had no idea why most women were not interested in me (turns out it was because I was trans, but I didn't know that back then), but I could tell that I was giving off "desperate" vibes that were attracting the wrong types.  So I resolved to not look for anyone.  Instead, I decided to get active in doing group activities that I enjoyed doing.  Best case, I might meet someone with similar interests and values.  Worst case, I would be doing something that I enjoyed doing.

I joined a vegetarian group and a hiking club.  After a couple of years, I met a nice lady on top of a mountain, and 20+ years later, we are still together.

Good morning everyone,

It’s a beautiful morning waking here with my youngest grandsons. We’ve been up since 06:00 taking about their school and activities. The oldest turned 12 on Friday and has learned a few things. The Google system in the house only recognizes adult voices, and he can lower his voice to activate her. Sitting around the outside fireplace he figured out how to make mourning dove calls by folding his hands and blowing down across his thumbs. This morning he learned how to make coffee, even though he doesn’t like it yet. The youngest who is 8 wants to show off his gaming skills, and finds sitting around the outside fireplace boring because we weren’t making s’mores. So this morning the three of us are drinking hot liquids watching cartoons together.

I hope you have a wonderful day today,

:)  This was the mountain.  I thought she was pretty spunky for a beginner hiker.  There's an easy way up around the back, but still...

It's Girl City in my family; I have one son and two daughters, one daughter in law, and now two granddaughters. Oh, and a wife and a mother!

Congratulations, Grandma. It is great having grandchildren.

I am at the other side, I have 3 sons, 2 DILs, 4 grandson and 1 granddaughter.  In my family, I was the only grandson. (at the time,LOL) with a sister, and 2 female cousins on my moms side.

Not much going here. unfortunately getting talked to at work, Friday. Apparently I was supposed to tell a long time customer at her estimate went up. (which I was never told to do.) I had to call and apologize personally, and let her take it out on me. All the attempts I made were met with voice mail. I didn't go back after lunch. I called in, because me and the wife took our middle son, their new vehicle. The boss saying we should be going up but instead going down. Because of me (he didn't say it but inferred it) I'm just an idiot. Sorry but I feel that way.

We had dinner, it was only my son and his younger two sons. DIL and oldest didn't come.

Sat, our middle son texted saying DIL says the brakes are making noise and seems like they need bled. This is from the person who trashed and destroyed the 2500 Yukon XL we bought them. as well as others. The dealer we got the MDX from put on brakes all the way around.  We got our Jetta Diesel back.

Well that is all from me for now. Of course up early as normal.

Hugs to all my friends here.

I'm still recovering from a fall last Sun night.  I got up around midnight, and passed out.  All I know is I was on the floor.  I landed dead on my face, and was pretty bruised up.  My daughter was pissed off that I didn't go to the hospital.  I don't have insurance and the VA is an hour and a half drive.

I finally called the VA Friday to get checked out after the neighbor saw me and told me about someone she knew that hit their head, didn't get checked, and died a couple days later.

The VA triage Doc, told me to go to the emergency room, so I drove up there.  They took it kinda serious and gave me a CAT scan and all.  Turned out there were no cats in there, and I'm more or less okay.  (other than a busted up face and a sore neck)

It did make for a busy day, at least the part where I wasn't laying around with a bunch of wires stuck to me.

I did have a nice conversation with a nurse that has the same shoes as I was wearing.  They're favs for both of us.

Hi I didn’t hang out much here over the weekend I got home from a bad day at work with lunch and proceeded to get an ear full about why didn’t I get home sooner she needed me. Lategr we had another discussion about what I was and wasn’t doing. A bit after that I was ballin my eyes out the whole tears and nasal discharge.  Basically I was at the end of my rope and slipping. I had a really bad day at work and came very close to calling up my boss and quitting.

I guess I’m trying to juggle too many things right now and something has to suffer.

Today was a better day. I planned to go to church but when I got up I was thinking of staying home.  But I got cleaned up and went all the same. Glad I did too. The minister when I asked him to pass on my wife’s thanks for the cards and prayers then told me they he would be mentioning me in the prayers for the people too.  He told everyone how I was going to go to classes to become a preacher and that the session had given me there blessing. After the service many people came to talk to me about my journey and congratulate me in clouding a retired minister who sits on the committee who we’ll be watching my progress and helping me.

What a difference a day makes!

Would like to have seen you husband doing doing Britney Spears.

Glad you didn't have any cats in there... I think a lump that size would have been noticeable 🙄  But seriously, glad you're OK.  Head injuries have a wide range of effects, and its really hard to tell if you're OK or not.  I got the bad end of a TBI, and I still have some mild issues 18 months later, especially with balance.  Maybe your doctor told you this already, but you might want to get looked at again after a while.  Never know if bleeding can start up randomly days later (and totally unseen) and then there's a problem.  The brain is a touchy thing.

I never stopped looking, but I was discouraged and not trying very hard when GF found me.  And I have no idea what vibes I was giving off to attract a sexy, crazy Russian.😝  I'm not sure she was the "right" type, but I figured I didn't have options so I made my nest and I'm laying in it.  Everything has worked out well, but so weird!

Today was mostly relaxing.  Went to temple this morning, then spent the day doing a few minor things.  Planted some new trees, went out for a bit with GF....and ran away from the cops.  You know, just a normal Sunday afternoon!  Well, GF likes to speed.  A lot.  Sheriff's car got behind us and turned on the lights...just briefly.  GF hits the gas instead of stopping, because she's weird and that's what she does.🙄  Her car isn't exactly anonymous, so her phone starts ringing.  She doesn't answer it.  Mine rings, and I pick up.  "Tell her to slow the heck down, y'all are 30mph over.  I'll call your sister, and she can cuff that blonde and take her keys."   Yep, that's rural life out here....you can run but you won't get far. 😄

Its almost time for me to curl up in my nest for the night.  I have been told I stay up too late and I squirm too much.  I'd move around less if I was held tighter....

Good morning everyone,

The semiretired sleeping in has become very common in our house. It's 09:10 and I'm pouring my first cup of coffee. After that I have to get ready to face the day outside of our home. I have a few parts drop offs and a nail salon appointment later today. I hope your day goes well and the warm beverage you drink in the morning sets the tone for your day.

Good morning from the backyard patio,   Parker and I are outside enjoying the morning sounds of the day. It’s was filled with the beautiful sounds of birds, bugs and kids off at a distant playground. My coffee was hot, strong and black. This came crashing down as the Monday morning trash truck came into the neighborhood. We’re the first neighborhood for the trash route since a city ordinance keeps all commercial workers limited to a 07:00 start time. It was Parker’s first time experiencing this noise and physical vibrations as the operator slammed the articulated arm around picking up individual trash bins. Parker ran from the fence back to the patio swing looking back at the monstrous truck causing such a commotion. His head tilted, ears perked, and body language indicating curiosity.    My second cup of coffee is settling down as the birds return to singing their calls, and Parker ravages his toy rabbit.    Hugs and best wishes as you take on the week. Happy Monday!   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good morning @Adrianna Danielle   I’m glad you agreed to the paternity test.    My Uncle found himself in a similar situation and after the test he was faced with explaining his infidelity and one night stand to his wife and family. Not only did the test come back; “YOU ARE THE FATHER” she looked like a sister to the other children in his family. This was a “23 & Me” moment confirmed by an independent test. The most important reason for the young lady to search for her father, was medical history and peace of mind. The blessing of the test was her understanding and willingness to disappear into obscurity. That was not what my Uncle or his family wanted to happen. She was family and they wanted to know her and eventually love her as a family member. The next 4th of July family gathering, she was introduced to the rest of her extended family and I gained a cousin. My prayers for you as you navigate all the possibilities, and I hope it works out for everyone involved.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well I’m short on time again!   I had to move to the couch around 3:15 this morning. Unfortunately my wife’s med vac was making a lot of noise which woke me up and I couldn’t sleep. Then I over slept because my alarm wasn’t set correctly, my fault.    @Mirrabooka Hobart is a beautiful city and Tasmania is a wonderful place to visit. I was there several times in the 80s.    @Birdie Texas isn’t the only state with such laws.  Don’t try going to a public bathroom in Florida either. Now there laws aren’t based on chromosomes or anything like that but it’s a birth certificate as far as I know.  That Texas law is a tough one, really anti transgender in all respects. Except!  What if you have an extra chromosome?  Or DNA that’s flipped?  Did they think of that situation?  Medical theory suggests that is the case when it come to Transgender people, but especially the young ones.  Also, IQ, that tends to be higher than average.  There are a lot of things about us the medical science is studying, not just psychology.   got to go   Willow

I started estrogen (oral) a little before age 50 and not the maximum dose either and also no blockers. It almost immediately accentuated the feminine features I already had, and expanded my already soft areas of skin, widened my hips and distributed more fat to my thighs and increased my breast size. There seem to be some subtle changes to my face too though I doubt I am any more passable than I was a decade ago, it’s just nice to not use breast forms anymore. I haven’t switched to injections as planned and there really hasn’t been much change after the first 6 months and my body fights back; my E levels dropped and T increased even on the same dose so it has not really done much for me. It sounds like injections are the far better way to go, plus progesterone after a while if the doctor will prescribe that.    As is often said, everyone is unique and one’s mileage may vary, and what works for one person may not for another.
