@Sally Stone, you look great. Fingers crossed that I get to see you in person in March.

@Elizabeth Star, that jacket is amazing. I need one of those. Also, how the hell am I the only trans-girl on the planet without a choker or a necklace? Love the look. I'd put more pentagram on mine, but that's me.

Hugs!

Add me to the no choker clan.  I have no desire, not my style and I naturally don't have much adam's apple to hide.

That's badass. I don't put that in the choker category though, that's just a badass necklace.

@Elizabeth Star I wholeheartedly embrace Sally's sentiment. I've been looking for a midriff leather jacket forever. They are either too large in the chest or way to short in the arms :(

@Lennethlove that thrift store skirt!  As far as boots for shorter legs- it sounds counterintuitive but go taller, over the knee length so they end up under your skirt if wearing a skirt or up to the thigh for pants . It will make you legs look longer. If you wear a size 10 or less just head over to DSW or other big shoe store to try some on. If bigger, then it gets challenging. DSW is still my go to because they have a clearance rack that often features larger sizes. Why? Because of the second reason I like them. You can order the larger sizes online and have them shipped to the store to try on. Don't like them? simply hand them back for a refund. Then they just put them out on the clearance rack.  If they sit there long enough they can be up to 70% off! I make it a habit of popping by any DSW I drive by. lol

Sorry I haven't contributed to the gallery here in awhile. I get my bandages off today and will get my hair done tonight so maybe I will feel up to wearing something besides PJs tomorrow.

Thank you so much!  That is extremely helpful.  And you won over my partner when you started talking about clearance and discounts.  I think finding deals is tone of their super powers!  I will definitely be looking into them.  Now I’m excited! 🤗. So so grateful for the advice!

Hi all, JaniceZ looks quite cold. It’s only 4 degrees where I live in the UP of Michigan. My wife has a Dr. appointment this morning so we’re heading out. I’m wearing warm leggings, tunic turtleneck and a cute top to keep warm.

I love the spider necklace above. I wear a necklace everyday but nothing that bold and beautiful.

Hugs

That skirt works well with the pink hoodie too.

This was me yesterday.  I was out plowing and wearing the clothes that I have.  The jacket and hat were gifts.  I apologize for the expression; the sun glare was extreme, and I couldn't even see the screen on the phone to frame the picture let alone work on my expression.  Two takes was all I could take.  I have a TeleMed meeting with my therapist today.  I want to understand why each morning I feel absolutely positive about continuing my transition while each evening I feel as if I can do without it.  A note on my appearance.  I am very deliberately working on my body so as to rock a maillot or two piece.  "Who knows what tomorrow will bring." (Joe Cocker, Jennifer Warnes and Maxine Green)  It's my hope that by sharing my story, I can better see others for who they are.

I don’t think your expression is a bad one.  My face sort of puckers up when squinting., and the sun is super bright.  I’m envious. 😆. I lived in Alaska till I was 12 and I miss snow.  I am hoping I will get the chance again once I get settled in MA.

@Ticket For Epic, I can completely accept waking up at 42 with that realization.  In fact, a web comic I am a massive fan of gives a perfect example.  The premise of the web comic itself is about an angel screwing up and getting kicked from the job he had on “administrative leave without pay.”  One result of his screw up is turning one of the main characters into a girl.  The only way to fix anything is to make the angel look good to his superiors so they let him back in to fix it.  The whole comic tackled gender roles and the myriad of conflicting feelings and thoughts we’ve all experienced as we find ourselves and struggle with a body we may not feel is the right one.  Now, the whole reason I went off on that little tangent is because the father of the comic’s author came out as transgender in his 50s I think it was.  I don’t remember specifically.  The author has talked about him here and there over the years.  He mentioned some of the difficulties his father faced as he was working on his transition.  So I can see how it could be a single moment of clarity coming out of the blue.  His father had been married fir decades and had adult children by the time he discovered his identity, so why can’t you find yourself in that situation?  There are dozens of discussions on the site focusing on the cornucopia of ways to find and follow your path towards what you feel is right.  I”ll confess though, I am hardly above the self doubt.  Maybe not in the same way, but second guessing and over thinking are things I am exceptionally good at.  My partner has to help reel me in sometimes because of it.  I tend to worry something about me will stick out or something about me will betray the identity I am fighting for.

@Bri2020, you are reading the same book and I am on the page you are when it comes to that disappointment resulting from not waking up in the body you know is right for your identity.  I absolutely did what  you did when you were sending a silent scream, sometimes in desperation, to fate, God, the universe, or whatever higher power that might exist.  It can be overwhelming.  I remember one time, I was around 14 or so, I was grasping at straws, and wanted so badly to be a girl, I thought if I didn’t scratch an itch, maybe then it would work.  Maybe that feeling was a sign my body was changing.  Silly I suppose, but like you said, you were met with that disappointment when waking up to find nothing had changed.  I would feel crushed and hopeless as I got out of bed to trudge through another day, condemned to spend my life a prisoner locked away in a body I didn’t want and couldn’t stand.  I can’t say my dysphoria was similar to yours, but I just sort of bleakly accepted feeling as I did and figured it would just be a  normal part of me, like an arm or curly hair.  It would just be something eternally present I had to cope with.  As things stand in the moment I am typing all of this, I am marginally better now that I have taken steps towards the woman I am.  I don’t turn out lights, but I wear clothes that conceal those things triggering me.  That’s why I go out of my way to always wear an under shirt.  A common facet of women’s fashions leaves shirts and blouses more open around the shoulder area.  I hate seeing that because it leaves me dysphoric and almost disgusted by it.

@Jackie C., I’m going with the general consensus here.  I also think it’s a lovely piece for you and your outfits. 🤗. When it comes to chokers, I only have a few and wear them whenever the mood strikes me.  One of them was a gift from my partner, so it sees more milage than the rest.

have been struggling with the idea of bathing suits as well.  I have a hard time not thinking it will look absurd on me.   Especially with certain biologically provided parts still present.  If you have any suggestion, please, by all means, shoot them my way.  I’m always open to advice.

Hope you enjoyed the novel I just wrote. 😅

Here's a thing: Some women's swimsuits come with a modesty skirt. I saw a couple modeled on here when I was pre-GCS and it seemed like just the thing. You might also want to check sites like https://enfemmestyle.com/. My last bathing suit came from them and it's very flattering.

Yup!  Jackie is right on the money.  When you go the site, typically it shows the latest upload, but if you click on Archives and select "Misfile," you're in business.  I've been following it since 2004 or thereabouts.  He spent about 10 years on.  And just like Jackie, I wasn't out and still not acknoledging any of my feelings.  The moment I found it I was absolutely in love with it because, for me at least, it told a story about the very thing I wish would happen to me.  I couldn't change my body, but I could live vicariously through the main character.

And how chilly is it in your neck of the woods @Jandi?   Love the layers.  At least you won't be cold!  Is it all one dress under the coat or one thrown over another?  I looks good either way, but I was curious.

And @Jackie C., Yay for more websites and options for the wardrobe!  That's very much appreciated.  🤗

You can never have too many. For example, these belts...

...about gave me a gaygasm. There was one more I saw on a trans tiktok and I want it so bad it hurts. The new rivet belt I bought (the rivets are falling out of my old one 😥) has a chain attachment and I'm looking for things to dangle from it.

Love it, but it needs a badass-belt to complete it and to accentuate your waistline. I generally use these: Belt!

Your mileage may vary.

@Lennethi tried the whole “ skort” thing thinking it would hide things better but once wet, it’s no better than a bikini. So here’s my experience and if u go back through this thread I’ve posted a few bathing pics to reference.
I am still pre gcs so boy hardware still there. I’m about average in size but since doing hrt for over a year before bathing suits, testicular size has gotten small making tucking fairly easy.  I found that a medium coverage bikini bottom provides plenty of coverage and fits tight enough to keep things in place. Wear black or a pattern.  No light solids unless u are not terribly worried about what people think. Lol. I have a light green suit but I don’t swim in it, just pool side lounging.
two piece suits draw the eyes either up if u have big boobs or to your midriff.  People tend not to look at your crotch. A solid color one piece doesn’t do that so people are more likely to look down.
when you look at people sunbathing, you will notice women don’t spread their legs. They are always together or slightly crossed. The slightly crossed look is both more modest and sexier. Men have a habit of opening their legs. Break that habit. Lol.  These pics were my first bikini. I had tried a one piece and a skort bottom prior and they didn’t work as well as this. This is also pre boobs. Bikinis and small boobs go together well.

Yeah, still not brave enough for a bikini. Maybe after my tuck.

I'd still recommend the en-femme suits though, they've got some built-ins that help out with some of our issues. Have fun shopping though! That's the main thing!

I bought and wore a two piece with upper and lower modesty skirts. I agree, pre GCS there’s no way around tucking. One negative of the modesty skirts is, if you live in a cooler climate, it’s another layer that has to dry before you get warm again. In Colorado you tend to freeze after you get out of the water.

Several layers.  A full slip, long sleeved top and warm petticoat, Jumper type dress, apron over-dress, the top is a warm sweater.

Got warm thigh-high socks on the legs.

Lots of layers.

Good Morning    well it’s Friday for most, pay day for some.  For me it’s pay day but not Friday.  I work the same opening shift tomorrow.  I typically have Friday on Saturday and Monday on Tuesday.     @KymmieL it does sound like your shop has an issue and you are smack in the thick of it.  The new gal or guy often is.  We have an issue with new people not getting fully trained before being turned loose on customers.  Some struggle through it and some quit because of it.  I try to get them working with customers as quickly as I can but I stay right with them observing, helping, even jumping in when things are getting backed up to keep the stress down.  Not everything comes up during training so when things do, even later after trying is done, I try to help and explain.  Our ASM feels that once she has you scanning barcodes and taking money she is done training.  Generally, refuses to train me on things that she does, and questions why I’m doing something that she normally handles when I’ve been told to do it as part of my advancement training.     She and the cashier involved both keep trying to toss the manager under the bus over a hours of work issue and shifts.  I tell her I realize her issues and I’ll work what ever she needs.  Because of that I tend to get a better more consistent schedule.   Well, time to say Happy Trails to you, until we meet again.   Hi ho Silver, away   Willow

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.

I firmly believe I drank entirely to much for about 25 years. Got drunk every day. This was my coping mechanism to keep hiding deep inside that I was a woman. I miss a lot of signs over the years. Now I drink mabye 1 or 2 beers a day don't even get a buzz anymore. totally accept myself and on regret is that I hide that part of my self which  truly makes me happy being violet 💜. I wasted a lot of time before  being self destructive and had no clue I was just hiding th real me

Hey, everyone. my life is going down the tubes. at least I think. So, today. A customer called about his car, I told him that the oil change was done. The parts to fix the check engine light are ordered. He can come and get it. For the weekend if he wants. Customer says I didn't want an oil change. it was check the engine light and check for an oil leak. Checking the work order says oil change. The boss wrote the vehicle up. checking with the customer on services wanted.   Being that I wrote down the appointment in the book. and clearly states oil leak. She is complaining because she can't read my small ish writing. It seems she read oil and assumed it as an oil change. It seems like she is blaming me.  She wound up going home because she was too upset. She is stressing about an eye problem she has, she has to get eye surgery it seems she has a tear in her eye.    I feel that I am short for this job. because of the BS they are blaming me on. Plus I am still upset about the trust issue. If either one of the bosses start their Shite tomorrow. I am walking out.

"I love you so much,"  Lois said.  They met in the driveway. "I could not live without you." "Neither could I." "What are we going to do?" "Find another counselor?" "No. I think we need to solve this ourselves." "Do you think we can?" "I don't know.  But what I know is that I don't want to go through that again.  I think we have to hope we can find a solution." "Otherwise, despair." "Yeah.   Truce?" "Okay,  truce." And they hugged.   "When we know what we want we can figure out how to get there."   That began six years of angry battles, with Odie insisted he could dress as he pleased and Lois insisting it did not please her at all.  He told her she was not going to control him and she replied that she still had rights as a wife to a husband. Neither was willing to give in, neither was willing to quit, and their heated arguments ended in hugs and more.   They went to a Crossdressers' Club, where they hoped to meet other couples with the same problems, the same conflicts, and the same answers, if anyone had any.  It took them four tries before they settled on a group that they were both willing to participate in.  This was four couples their own age, each with a cross dressing husband and a wife who was dealing with it.  They met monthly.  It was led by a 'mediator' who wanted people to express how they felt about the situation.  Odie and Lois, as newcomers, got the floor, and the meeting was finally dismissed at 1:30 in the morning - it was supposed to be over at 10 - and everyone knew how they felt about the situation.   There was silence in the car on the way home.   "We aren't the only ones dealing with this." Odie finally said.   "Who would have thought that?  You are right."   "Somebody out there has a solution." "I hope you are right."   "I hope in hope, not in despair."   "That's my Odie."
    • Abigail Genevieve
The counseling session was heated, if you could call it a counseling session.  Sometimes Lois felt he was on Odie's side, and sometimes on hers.  When he was on her side, Odie got defensive. She found herself being defensive when it seemed they were ganging up on each other.   "This is not working," Lois said angrily, and walked out.  "Never again. I want my husband back. Dr. Smith you are complicit in this."   "What?" said Odie.   The counselor looked at him.  "You will have to learn some listening skills."   "That is it? Listening skills?  You just destroyed my marriage, and you told me I need to learn listening skills?"   Dr. Smith said calmly,"I think you both need to cool off."   Odie looked at him and walked out, saying "And you call yourself a counselor."   "Wait a minute."   "No."
