Oh, and I missed your comment about the earrings. I'm convinced that, if I ever had a past life, it would have been as a Native American, 18th century. These were from Montana Silversmith.

I love these!  Very pretty!  The feather design very much speaks to me.  I grew up in Alaska and they remind me of the eagles.  There was an eagle rescue aviary we used to visit.

The boots are knee high moccasins, they lace up.  I've had them for years, got online.

The "jacket" is a sweater from GoodWill I believe.

Sorry for getting that wrong! 🤦🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️

I have found some great stuff from thrift stores.  I think I am getting out to one tomorrow actually.  Are the moccasins something you can order from somewhere or was that more of a local acquisition?

I think of them as suede boots.  I expect you can still get them.

This looks like them, although the ones I have were "men's".  I have unfortunately large feets.

Thank you!  I am fortunate in having relatively small feet.  Transitioning to women’s sizes and styles has been generally easy.

So, I'm a lover of all things southwest and I LOVE silver and turquoise...so I added a new piece to my collection! And to celebrate, I had my first ever manicure...I always get so excited over the wonderful things we get to experience once we've begun our walk down the path of womanhood! I couldn't decide on a nail color, so I just went with clear...next time I'm going to get a gel mani and choose something pretty! Here's a pic of my new "southwest accessory"...

Oooo!  Great color choices too!  I am partial to silver, or platinum, jewelry.  I also lean toward darker blue, green, and purple shades when applicable.  I haven’t had a manicure yet, personally, and I want to try one.  Yours look great!  You should totally share the next one!

That’s mine as of the moment.  The skin issues are from my psoriasis, sorry about that. 🙇🏻‍♀️

Here is what I used if anyone was curious or interested.

Thank you for the compliment, @Lenneth...the whole experience was wonderful! After shaping the nails and working on the cuticles, she used an exfoliating hand solution followed by a warm cloth and scented lotion (it still smells great 2 hours later)...you'll absolutely love it! I also tend to gravitate toward blues, greens, ans especially purples in clothing, but not sure what I want to try first for my nails...but I do like the color you're using on yours!💜

I have a small variety of pinks, blues, a few purple and magenta leaning hues, and some that are mostly clear, but add sparkles like glitter.

I have had fun playing around with them for sure.  The glow in the dark ones can also be used like an over coat if you don’t layer them too much to add a little sheen to the base color.

It sounds like you're well on your way to becoming a nail artist! Speaking for myself, I can always use advice and "hacks"!

So today was supposed to be my first session with a new client. I dressed appropriately.

Tragically, they cancelled but you all can at least see what they'll be missing.

Hugs!

Never quite understood the popularity of back packs.

They are bulky, uncomfortable and always in the way.

I see them everywhere tho'.

I always wonder which one is carrying something to be used to harm others.

Just one of those in the back of your mind thoughts for me but if you like wearing one thats OK too.

Well thank you! I've got an exercise tank underneath that says, "Maybe today Satan." Mom suggested that I wear a hoodie so I don't intimidate the new client with my physique. She hasn't been wrong yet so... hoodie! That's one of my faves.

I can understand that.  I like that though because I tend to carry a lot.  “Always be prepared” kind of deal.  It also gives me storage in case I need to hold things while out.  Something that happens when out with friends.

@Jackie C., I just noticed something in the background that the nerd in me wants to ask about.  The blue behind you near your waist? That looks like a large Funko Pop style Megaman.  Is that anywhere near true?

Sadly no. That's the glow from the indoor bug-zapper that lives over my pseudo-pantry. With the Mother Nature throwing out temperatures like Powerball numbers, the stink bugs are waking up and making their way into the house on the warm days.

While I am a TREMENDOUS geek, my collection is more esoteric and trends towards gothic, witchy -crap- and... well OK, I have the cast of Spinnerette on my shelf so there's that. I'm looking around my office and seeing a lot of Japanese influence, Cthulu and super-heroes. I've got a Charizard in the living room but he might be my only video-game inspired piece.

Stink bugs are the worst.  Killing them just makes them stink worse.

Today's a punky, wet, just above freezing day so going with "snuggly" sweater option.  Later today I'm meeting some girlfriends at a LGBTQ+ friendly Skate Shop that just moved to the area so one of them can get all fitted out. We actually have a roller derby crowd here which is what the shop is known for.  (inner voice: "I will not buy skates, I will not buy skates, I shouldn't buy skates, I shouldn't buy skates, skating sounds like so much fun, I will not buy skates, I will not buy skates.........")

As I read this one, it is only for school bathrooms.  I hope he has signed a bill to triple the number of "security monitors" on the campuses and up their pay considerably, not to mention some other costly stuff.  Only way is for every school employee, to know the birth certificate information of each student by memory which will require 3 additional months of salary for them all.  It appears the enforcement relies on parental reports obtained from their children which opens so much up.  The kids will end up ALL with wet or soiled underwear while the parents go at each other with weapons over "family honor" over false calls based on childish name calling.

I agree. This law is impractical and impossible to evenly enforce without such ridiculous measures in place. What it will do is stigmatize the trans community in Oklahoma and nothing more but ofc, that’s the only point of it.   If I was in that state and needed a restroom, there’s no chance I’d ever step foot in the men’s restroom because of some law. I know I’m not alone in that thinking. This law won’t stand the test of time.

I asked AI to create an image of myself 30 years younger based off my avatar on another site and this was the result:     Wow! I am amazed how close it got my 30 year old face!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!
