Oh Rod Argent is so talented!   Also look at that S&H Green Stamps sign, remember those?  They were a big deal when we were younger.

That Argent song does qualify as an anthem, totally love the organ solo.

Remember the reward catalogs for your S/H Green stamps ? In addition we had "Blue Chip Stamps" out west, same thing, some of the things you could get were pretty nice.

This afternoon, I'm listening to Tarkus - Emerson, Lake, and Palmer (1971)

I keep getting these prompts to get my vinyl records out ?  . If I remember here they were S&H pink stamps. This was probably because the most common ones were Green Shield stamps, which were green.

I tried out something a little different today. Julia Michaels and Billie Eilish. They’re both okay. Uber chick music. Reminded me a bit of Gwen Stefani but darker. Not bad.

Both our daughters and their boyfriends have collections of Vinyl, as well as their friends. The platters seem to have a cult following among young adults collecting. We have a few turn tables here, we love our old records...

Today I'm listening to "Naked Eye - Luscious Jackson (1996).....sing along, it's just sooo girl pop and groovy...

Tonight, I'm listening to Andres Vollenweider - Eolian Minstrel (1993), the harp playing master composer from Switzerland, and his female vocalist Eliza Gilkyson, so soothing.

This morning I'm listening to the classic from 1992 Susan Vega - As girls go....

The guitar solo at the end speaks to me, it's a bender....

This is becoming a bit of a family anthem, it regularly finds its way into my day because I deperately want to be at the stage where the lyrics apply to me.

I know it was sad to see Peter go.

Yes.  He was an under appreciated musician, and a bass player!

I saw this is one of the tributes I read.

Ann Moses (Tiger Beat editor in 1968) asked Peter "What do you have so much of you could afford to give some away?" He replied: "The only thing there is so much more of to give away." "Which is?" I asked.

"The power of love."

"His sincerity was true Peter. Never lived a rock-star lifestyle. He always smiled the brightest on the stage. That is his legacy."

He was just so goofy in the Monkees (I loved it back in the day, I even joined the Monkees fan club ? in 1967). Yes even though that band was "made for TV" there was serious musical talent there. They did have some serious help in the background as well, with writers, producers, and session players. My wife's friend is a music publisher in LA, she had just posted a picture of Peter and her that was taken not long before he passed away, my wife pulled it up for me after hearing this news, looking at it I could just peer into the soul of this creative mind, wow,  Bless you Peter, you gave us music, smiles, and laughter. Hope you had a good time with the Fleetwood Mac tribute band last night Jani.

This morning I have Jimi in my head phones, as my mind travels to 1967......

"Castles made of sand" - Jimi Hendrix

"Castles made of sand slips into the sea..... eventually"

We had a great time at the concert.  The band Tusk was very good.  They played for over 2 hours and covered a nice range of Fleetwood Mac tunes.

I'm grooving on a variety of music at Maine Public Radio "in Tune" show.   Right now they're playing "Fortune Teller" by The Throb.

Buckets of Rain - Bob Dylan from "Blood on the Tracks".  I remember when this album was released, it was such a big deal.  I have a vinyl copy.

Sounds like a wonderful time Jani, good tunes for sure...

This afternoon by the fire (it's snowing here on and off), I am revisiting 1985, another step in time, it's deep......

Very nice.  I've never been into music from this time or from many women artists, but as I've stumbled upon them I've found I really enjoy it.  Thanks!

Being admitted into the hospital after a long ER visit. I started passing lots of blood and they are keeping me for observation.    Nurse came in to see about a condom catheter, that of course doesn't work on me. 🤣   She said, "I guess we will use incontinence supplies on you."

Yeah.  I think this is what it is about.  Since they are not transgender, nobody else could possibly be either.  I'm not sure that a cisgender person can understand being transgender.  But that hardly means that a transgender person's experience is not real - just because it is not theirs. Why is a transgendered person's experience not valid, while a cisgendered person's is?  Why should it be the cisgendered person that decides? Nobody is forcing a cis person to transition.  What I do for myself is my own business.

I've been thinking it is a matter of belief.  They simply do not believe someone can validly be transgender and should not be allowed to practice their beliefs, but should be forced to practice their belief, that is, that there is no such thing as transgender and it is all mental illness/sin/hormonal imbalance.

I am really kind of sick of everybody who is not transgender deciding on what we need and do not need in the way of procedures. They act like all of this is play acting, and we can just apply cosmetics to our entire body. It might be refreshing if someone asked us directly what services we need in order to transition. I could say more as I am frustrated, but I do not want to violate the TOS.

Good luck on selling your wife on the idea of a different car. This could be tougher than negotiating with a dealership.   My wife agreed to my taking profit out of the company to buy a used truck once we found out the 2014 F-250 I currently had with 267,244 miles on it was needing new torque converter solenoids and the DEF system is chocking up. We bought a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, Duramax 4X4, with 163,000 miles. LTZ Off Road package, power mirrors, chrome step boards, rear camera, exhaust brake, and air lift bags on the rear suspension. It belonged to a friend of mine who also owned a mobile training business.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

At the other end and in our favor is Julia Serano's analysis of the Cass Report Fiasco   https://juliaserano.medium.com/the-cass-review-wpath-files-and-the-perpetual-debate-over-gender-affirming-care-8f56d0c4d0c6   Serano is a Trans Woman and a molecular biologist herself, guess whose evaluation I honor.

That's great @MaeBe hopefully the company will offer your wife a moving package with the new job position. That's how I was transferred from the St. Louis Metro area to the Indianapolis Metro area. The company covered all the moving expenses, as well as a three week stay in an extended living hotel while we chose an area to build our current home.   Good Luck and make it a happy adventure.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
