Speaking of Norah, I only know one or two of her songs. She has a nice voice.  An artist I love is her father, Ravi Shankar.  They were estranged most of her life.   I got turned on to him through George Harrison's music and my former brother in law who was into transcendental meditation and loved Indian music.

Now back to our regularly scheduled subject...

In the car today I played Bridge of Sighs, by Robin Trower.  It was his second solo album, released in 1974.

Jani

I had the 8 track Jani ! OMG.

That album so totally rocks, and creates visions of an open highway

So from that same year, I am listening to this album "Country Life" by Roxy Music

I keep being prompted by Yes after hearing a few tracks played by Radio Caroline here. I have 'Yes Songs' which was one of my favaourite albums. It's time to play it!

I am time traveler, through music I can tune out the news of current events and the dystopian future...

Union - Yes

Feel the resonance through time

Especially the tune "Lift me up", the guitar solo during the outro is simply exceptional, and stirs visions

Procol Harem, "A Whiter Shade of Pale".

Years and years ago when I was a teen in Pennsylvania on my way to New Jersey we drove a winding road with a rock ledge on  the right and trees with such thick overhanging limbs that they seemed to completely cut us off from the rest of  world. It was a psychedelic trip without any drugs. This song was playing, which fit perfectly. There were large stone houses with gargoyles and raven statues. It seemed like you might run into Damien from The Omen.

Lots of love,

Timber Wolf?

Wolf i can almost guarantee you were coming down the river road heading south towards New Hope PA.  The road there remains beautiful.  Old stone houses set into small areas next to cliffs, the canal and the river.  Our first farm was on the northern edge of that area.  It remains lovely and somewhat magical to this day.   Certainly the perfect space to listen to that song.

Hugs,

Charlize
