Have The Smiths - Complete on shuffle. I think they might be the only band where I don't dislike a single song they did.

Shame Morrissey had to go and seriously taint the legacy of the band with his recent comments and support for the EDL.

What's Going On - Marvin Gaye.  This was a groundbreaking album in 1971.  I remember how several tracks were on constant replay on the jukebox in my school's cafeteria.  (I went to a Catholic HS in VA).  Grab a copy and listen.  The subjects are as poignant today as they were then.

I have been hooked on this album for the past week. It’s a collab with a bunch of current artists from Justin Bieber to Eminem. But it’s really great I think.

Lol. So a cool thing happened to me today! I saw a post on my favorite bands fan page of someone talking about their new album that drops tomorrow, so I said I was jelly and a moment later an *undisclosed source* sent me the entire new album!!!! I bet I’ve listened to it through 4 times already! Lolol!!! My lucky day I guess. ?

I’ve been on a chill vibe lately and this band is my ambrosia!

On the second one the thumbnail shows cows, and yes these cows actually come up to the fence and listen to the band. Khruangbin likes to play in a barn to record their albums. They take cues from the cows to find out if the direction they are going is right or not. The cows walk away if they don’t like the song.

Wow that's a good oldie!   I remember he drove a Ferrari 512BB in the video.  I read Eddie Van Halen also owned one.

Today I have been going back to the days of  when It all meant something

Siouxsie And The Banshees - Spellbound. She was in my record stack. God my neighbours must hated me at times. But I still regress back to the queen of Goth sometimes

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.
