I love the middle bars of psychedelics in Shapes...  Groovy!!

That Graham Nash album leans a bit into the country realm, sounded great, he is a great song writer.

This morning I'm listening to "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" by Crosby, Still, and Nash (their first album).

Great harmonies and songwriting on that one!

Yes Graham's dipping into country is interesting as a Brit.  I suppose we all yearn for that which we don't have!

I just finished listening to "Live from Here".  Actually I also watched a piece of it while I was eating as they live stream the show.  I wasn't particularly enamored with the previous iteration "A Praire Home Companion" but I look forward to this show when I can listen.  The host, Chris Thile is an amazing performer and while his genre is Americana there is a wide variety of acts on his show.  I've been exposed to lots of music I never experienced before.  Music is life!

I had my wife's car today to get the annual safety inspection and she had The Counting Crows first album August and Everything After in the CD player.  While Mr. Jones and Round Here got all the airplay, I enjoy Perfect Blue Buildings and Rain King.  I think it was a good initial release for this band.

At the minute I have my rather expensive headphones on listening to the two and a half hour track I recorded at last night's show my Chorus did.  The Chorus and some interspersed "spoken word" presentations need to be taken apart, which means I have to convert the recordings to a different file format. DRAT!  The Chorus did Somewhere Over The Rainbow, our "theme song" You Have More Friends Than You Know, a newer song "This is Me," and a special one that Canadian recording artist and composer Maggie Szabo does exclusively with us called Don't Give Up On Love.  Adds up to 30 minutes of the two and a half hours.  I was commissioned to do the recording and had to listen to the spoken word stuff which even though about Trans bored me silly the way it was done.

Today’s playlist is pretty eclectic, not sure what mood I’m in. Some mountain indie folk: Gregory Alan Isakov, Deer Tick, Head and the Heart.  Some post rock: Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros, God Speed You! Black Emperor. Some classic rock: Beatles, Bowie, CCR. Some metal: Metallica, Sabbath, Iron Maiden.  Some modern instrumental, Ludovico Einaudi, Piano Guys. And many more.

Happy listening! *hugs*

Meh, as a vegan I was not bothered. Personally, I have seen worse, unfortunately. Interesting music video though.

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.
