He’s OK. Just getting his yearly check up.  I was the 3rd one to arrive, there’s 11 now. I won’t have wait too long.

Oh such a cutie. I miss my boys (Tucker was a tricolor setter and Sir Bear was a Springer Spaniel) both were cremated and are in my nightstand waiting for the day I pass. In my will l ask to be cremated, mixed with my boys and spread in the woods, our favorite place together.

@ElizabethStar - so true the stories I could tell - I always wore thorn proof clothes taking them out - because this time was theirs, doing what they loved to do - showing me where the pheasants were and scaring them up, in the snow - showing me where the deer slept the night before, pointing and holding a point for 5 minutes to show me a dragonfly.

My other kiddo is a Blue Merle Border Collie. Try to say that 3 times fast. Today is his 1 year birthday. I really need to get off my but and go get him cake and present. Guess I'm heading out...again.

I also have to take our fur baby to the vet today, except for us it is a bit more of an adventure. We are boarding him for a week while we go on vacation, and so he needs some shots. Except he doesn't do well with shots (he actually has bit the vet before). So we have to sedate him, which is going to be a trip and an half since that means getting him into a corner, closing a door on him, and giving him a shot. So this will be interesting I guess.

He's overall a good enough dog, but he is a rescue, so we think the pain is a PTSD trigger for him, which he does not react well to.

My fur kids are Patrick our black and tan long hair mini dachshund. Then Bandit our dsh kitty.

I love the Shelties. Smokie passed 5 years ago. He passed doing what he loved to do, laying in the backyard watching the world go by. I still miss him.

Sorry to getaway from our cute furry kids.

Well as soon as I get up this morning. I am hating the day. as soon as I step foot in the store. I hate it even more. Totes of incoming freight everywhere. From the past 3 days. I decide to just do what I need to do and forget about the disaster. Good thing that it wasn't that busy today. I am so fried out it isn't funny. Good thing that I play delivery driver most of the day. Kept me out of the store.

Now my wife and youngest son is calling my Harley a girls bike. simply because since I did the Stage 1 upgrade. it vibrates more. so more enjoyable for the girls. Milwaukee vibrator. LOL.

I am just wondering if they are trying to start and argument. When they call the bike a girls bike I think they expect me to say, yeah, it is a girls bike, mine. Because I am a girl. I haven't fallen for it. I so need to get the hell out of here and start living happy and free to be me.

Now back to your regularly scheduled show. In progress.

Hugs

@KymmieL it's fine to let it out. I just got an observation. We as humans tend to think the best case or worst case scenario when people do or say something and we interpret people's actions. You know them and so you can better assess why they said it was a girls bike but could you be over reacting or has this been going on for a long time? Don't let them press you buttons decide not to let them get to you decide to be who you are with or without their consent. If they don't accept you that is their problem not yours.

Now back to regularly scheduled program.

You are loved for who you are.

Hugs

So they're calling you a Harley chick? At least that's what I'm hearing. I have a good friend who's a Harley girl. She's awesome, just don't piss her off.

yep, Liz,

Biker (B)witch through and through. Harley Chic is right. The one thing that is coming with me when I leave.
Shay, Oh, I believe they were pushing my buttons. but the buttons where disconnected. First it was my wife last night at dinner. She mentioned it. We had rode to eat. Then it was my son today. Just the way they said it. Like they were waiting on a certain answer. Then with my wife getting all bent out of shape about me riding to Cheyenne last week.

My middle son is my biggest supporter. Once when I was looking to quit and go back to the old me. I told him that the closet was boarded up. He responded "Do it because it is what you  want to do not something you'll regret cuz some rather close minded people we love won't accept you"

He is talking about his brothers and his Mom. my wife and son's. I just have a feeling that my life here is getting toxic. I need to leave and be myself.

@KymmieL that’s unfortunate that your wife and son are behaving like that.

I suppose it’s time you redouble you effort at getting a job elsewhere.  I know my wife and I have had times when I thought is it time to go live on my boat, then we talk again and things are better.

I used to ride an Ultra Classic.  Best riding bike ever.  The Lincoln or Caddy, depending or your preference, of the motorcycle world.  I had to stop after I had surgery on both shoulders.  I was afraid I would not have the strength to avoid a car that didn’t see me.

looks like rain today.

Morning girls, interesting week.  First part of the week, my ex-girlfriend was wanting to be friends again. Then Thursday she was posting stuff on Facebook and ready to tear me anew you know what. Last night she called all apologetic. Guess I'm fortunate I don't have to live with her. I  don't know if I could stay the course. It's why I  quit last time. On a positive note, my girls are starting to grow again.

Of course, we all wish you the best of luck.  But please don't assume that a negative first reaction will be the one that sticks.  It takes time, communication and lots of love.   Carolyn Marie

We need to learn to talk to each other again.  This place is important that way.   Abby

Nationally, sure.  But where I live, there aren't two large segments.  There's a majority, and a few who just don't fit and probably ought to move out.  I was in a nearby city a few days back, and I saw a billboard for the "Freedom From Religion" foundation.  That's acceptable there.  Here... folks would be making a bonfire.    I don't really see how the different sides CAN get along.  I see what goes on in California, and its like watching news from some alien planet.  It has very little to do with LGBTQ+ issues, really.  I can't live their way, I won't live their way, and I have no desire to compromise at all in that direction.  I'd prefer to be neighbors in separate nations, and I think folks would get along better that way.  I firmly believe the anti-trans stuff wouldn't exist here if we had a new republic of the Center-South area.  Even a micro-state of just my county and a couple others would be fine.    I get the giggles when folks think that Trump is somehow "far right."  Around here, he's a barely-acceptable centrist.  And by the standards of 100 years ago, its true.

I don't think the Dems have a corner on division.  I do try to kinda keep up with the antics on Fox for 5h1+s and giggles. We have two large segments of the population, living in their own bubbles, with completely opposite views of our society, who never talk to each other, only at each other. People don't even want to get along with each other. We're tearing ourselves apart from the inside, while the rest of the world just sits back and watches.

Back again now it’s inevitable I must tell my wife for me to be happy and authentic wish me luck

Trying to decide if I am one.  Hmmm.  It depends on the definition.  The Democrats' definition dehumanizes them, whatever they are.   I would like to see a restoration of respect for America around the world, one Obama threw away.  I would like to see factories reopen whose jobs went overseas because people like BIden wrote legislation to create a tax structure than encouraged that.  I would like to see an end to the division that Biden and Obama cause and exploit for cynical political purposes.  I would like people to be able to express themselves without fear.  I would like honest news media.  I would llike to see the federal government not push us recklessly into debt.   If that makes me MAGA, I guess I am.

You've never encountered the Oklahoma State Troopers, then.... it isn't far from reality.  I swear they've got half an army of cops just sitting around.  On I-40, they've got big concrete pads where they sit in the middle of the highway, sometimes a row of 8 cars in one spot.  I guess they've got money to burn....
    • Abigail Genevieve
I fenced my posting of the link.  Yep.

Good to hear about that case, but I believe Oklahoma is in the 11th Circuit COA region along with Texas which is going to find some way to nullify this decision as far as the Oklahoma law goes, just because - - - -
    • awkward-yet-sweet
That's a Circuit (Circus) court ruling.  Which is essentially temporary.  Most everything right now is temporary, as the Supreme Court hasn't gotten around to dealing with all the various trans-related issues from the last few years.  I really, really wish they would just bite the bullet and do their thing.  It would save us from the constant tug-of-war. "The sky is falling!".... "No it isn't.".... "But there's crap coming down."....."It landed east of here"  Whether it ends up being good or bad, I wish they'd just lance the boil and let us either have a tyranny we can fight against or a republic we don't mind living in.  Mediocrity is irritating.
    • awkward-yet-sweet
I'm sure there are some...there's just about every kind of person imaginable in our society.  And I suspect that a number of actual GOP politicians aren't really haters...it just happens to be convenient to go along.  Like most Germans in the early 20th century weren't actually anti-Semitic.  It was just that it didn't matter to them.    While I'm not friends with any politicians (well, other than local ones), the majority of folks around me aren't anti-trans.  And one of my two trans friends is a Trump supporter, with hat and all.  My other friend is a Democrat, and the three of us actually get along even when we talk politics.  Life is interesting.

This suggests some of the problematic policies would be unenforceable if implementation were attempted.    https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true

You can believe what you want.  But there are such.  That should not scare you.  I wonder why it does.
    • Davie
I don't believe it. I've never heard of such a thing. That would scare me.
    • Davie
Yay for this . . . it overrides state laws. 4th Circuit Court says: Gender Identity Is A Protected Characteristic, Blocks State Coverage Bans. In a landmark ruling, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that gender identity is a protected characteristic, and that Medicaid bans on treatments for gender dysphoria are unconstitutional. https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true
