Hi everyone! Haven’t posted much I’ve been playing catch-up at work since I was off for Covid. I had my endocrinologist appointment yesterday day my T levels dropped way down almost to the proper level.

Glad to hear you're back on your feet after that. And congrats on low T!

Since I'm always looking for results I've been thinking my skin is somewhat smoother in places, since you read about that one a lot. But realizing I should have done a better audit of how rough my skin was before I started cause I don't know if it's real. That's your tip of the day for everyone contemplating HRT but not underway yet!

Off to make second cuppa of the day.

Rhonda I think my skin is starting to get smoother. I’ve noticed my face is starting to fill out especially my cheeks.

It's like I was driving the train down this track, but now it's driving me.  I don't know what I would even go back to at this point.

Yup, that's exactly the feeling.

@Emily michelle glad you got over covid with no more issues. Congrats on you low T and progress! It's good to see you all moving forward and feeling good about it.

Hi everyone

Sitting here watching the clock for time to log in for my therapy appointment.  Since Y'all been talking about injections, I was quite surprised about how easy my first E injection went.  the only hard part was getting it out of the syringe.  The oil is hard to push.  The needle was a piece of cake.  I know you will look at the needle and your leg and think about it but try not to.  Just go for it.

Pay attention to the nurse showing you what to do, there are important aspects to injecting oneself that you don't want to forget.  getting an infection from not having a sterile field would not be a good thing.

I got my ears pierced at a store but I'm thinking I'd like to have a second ear piercing in each lobe.  probably won't do that any time soon however.

Rainy day.  We are getting the outer most rain bands from Eta as she travels north.  No longer a tropical storm but bringing us over three inches yesterday and today combined.

Had problems with my speech appointment. I was logged in She was logged in but didn't connect us.

Shots, they are a pain. Ha ha. Serious, I had to give myself shots of blood thinners when I had my blood clots. Thankfully it was a small needle and medicine wasn't thick. Now my blocker shots, It is a thick med and uses a large needle. That one I don't do myself, the nurse has to work it to get it to flow.

Things are OK. Brain is only at sub light right now. So nice an mellow.

Hugs

Hi, back from my session.  Pouring most of the day today.

We are going shopping tomorrow.  I need needles for my sewing machine and I’m going to buy a Viking ankle for my Singer.  That will allow me to use some of the special feet that my wife has for her Viking machines. There is a very small difference between the machines because they are both owned by the same company.

since I am sewing very heavy fabric I need very large needles and they are hard to come by, impossible locally.

Oh, needles, guess that’s the topic of the day.  Sorry. lol

good morning!

so whose staying in bed today? After all, it’s 2020 and Friday the thirteenth!  What a combination.

Bad day to be a Templar.  I have a Sinclair in my family tree, but no Roshbechal’s as far as I know.

Historically a good day for me.

Be careful out there and be wary of Frenchmen with swords today.

Good morning everyone,

Happy Friday. I'm off work today just like every Friday the 13th. I don't do it for any religious or superstitious reasons. It's just easy for me and my employer to remember.

I have a fun-filled day planned. I have to drive down to the city and pick-up new meds, get bloodwork and then training for the new meds.

Pretty much as soon as I get back we have another 5-6 houses to go see today. This house hunting thing is starting to get old.

Have a great day everyone.

So I might have to fire my chiropractor.

I was just in their office and, out of five people, one had no mask at all and two more (one an employee) wasn't wearing theirs correctly. I let the chiropractor know and I'm giving them one more chance because I like them, but I'm high risk and cannot be around that kind of thing right now.

Ugh. Venting. I hope everyone else is having a better day than I am.

A lot of that around here too.

I was talking with my ex yesterday.  She said they were just doing everything like "normal" - going out to eat etc.

We're both seniors of course, and her boyfriend has serious heath issues on top of that.

People don't take it serious.

I hear your vent, and I raise you one aargh!  What is so hard to understand about this?  My electrologist has to follow strict rules, that are even stricter now with the pandemic.  She imposes strict rules on her clients.  Don't want to comply?  Fine, let your hair grow!  "No shirt, no shoes: no service" is now "No shirt, no shoes, no mask: no service".

I hope you are able to persuade your chiropractor to smarten up, or to find a better one.

Moi aussi!

Including a rather nice sword that I'm fond of, but I prefer my cutlass for most things - skill level in wielding it is a lower bar to achieve.

I have a big 'ol Scottish broadsword with some lovely Celtic knotwork on the blade. It's completely serviceable and combat-ready. Or would be if I every bothered to sharpen it. It's heavy as heck though so I could easily beat somebody to death with it if I had to. My skill level is basically, "She knows which end to hold." I'm a menace! ... there is no berserker emoji. This makes me sad. We'll have to go with...

In reality Friday the 13 has always been a good day for me as well.  I went on active duty Air Force, I received a promotion and a transfer I wanted, and I graduated from college.

I am a Scot, my ancestors are some of the most celebrated in Scottish history going back to around the 800s.

hopefully I can get this file loaded it is of an antique fighting knife.  As for the date they left Scotland for Prince Edward Island CA I don’t know.  I do know they traveled on the Curlew in 1818.

When I first started figuring things out, I got a lot more euphoria. Every time a friend would use he/they pronouns for me, I'd get this bubbly feeling, and seeing myself look masculine made me really happy. Dysphoric state felt more normal, so I guess I noticed the pain it caused me less.   Now, it's more just that my pronouns and such things feel natural, and dysphoria is a lot stronger -- I know what's natural, so experiencing the opposite is more jarring than everything. The problem is, most of my natural experiences are from friends, and I rarely get properly gendered by strangers, much less by my family. I've found myself unable to bind in months due to aches, colds,, and not wanting to risk damage.    It partially makes me want to go back to the beginning of my journey, because at least then I got full euphoria. I'm pretty sure it'll be like this until I medically transition, or at the very least get top surgery (you know all those trans dudes online with tiny chests? Not me, unfortunately). It's a bit depressing, but at least I know that, eventually, there's a way out of this.

Major mood, right here ^^^    I've listened to Lumineers to a long time (a major portion of it by osmosis via my mom), so that is almost painfully relatable

As for getting a button-up/formal pants suit, you can try to talk to her more -- Cis women in tuxes have worn tuxes in recent years, after all, (for example, Zendaya) so it can still be a relatively safe topic. For jumpsuits, I'd recommend going with a simple one with a blazer, if you can -- this'll make it look overall more masculine. There's a lot of good brands, but going for one without a lot of extra glitz on it will make it look less feminine under a blazer. I don't know many specific brands though since I usually just get my stuff from chain stores, sorry :<   When it comes to your hair, if you can't cut it, you can look up tutorials on fluffing it up instead. If you can pull it off, it can look a lot shorter and more androgynous instead!

As far as I'm aware, he wasn't -- he just sometimes wore skirts, which was why it was a question in the first place.   In my opinion, part of that is because of the way press spares attention on issues like that. As a bit of a true crime nut and what I see: Child predator cases' (and cases of a sexual nature in general) press focus on those with an AMAB perpetrator generally, and very rarely are AFAB perpetrators given much press time or even getting tried due to a whole bunch of issues I'm not gonna get into. Because of this, when you see these types of cases and a boy is the victim, it's almost always a queer person who is the one who committed a crime that gets press. Therefore, with the amount of cases seen with this type of perpetrator (and due to the fact "99% of queer people are not sexual criminals" doesn't attract eyes), the human brain can kind of naturally makes an association with it. It's not right, but it's also a fault I think falls partially on the media.   That's all my opinion, though!   This is extra confusing to me, as a feminine man is usually viewed as gay. If someone is refusing the acknowledge the existence of trans people, then gay would be the societal connection that comes after, I think. So, that sorta implies that trans women wouldn't be interested in women in the first place by those assumptions? Of course, trans lesbians exist (most trans women I know like women, actually), but it's a little ridiculous to me that people will deny trans people's existence, call all feminine AMAB people gay, and say that trans people are looking to peep all in the same breath.   Wow, this was a lot longer of a response than I was planning to write--

For one thing, the practice of putting into office wholly unqualified people simply because of racial, sexual or national characteristics.  It is no accident that Karine is a Haitian immigrant, Black and lesbian.  Kamala Harris is a Black female. Pete Buttigieg is gay.  Often you find that Biden explicitly stated that this is why he hired them, not because of competence, but because they checked so many boxes on his little list.  It makes a mockery of people and is a disservice to the US.

I am not sure why people are in favor of unaccountable agencies with bloated budgets and wasteful spending.

Hey girl  I had a problem like you happen to me also. In my first year of estrogen I had a period where my level were good then they got really bad where my testosterone spike high.  I felt like you with all that disforia coming hard. Our bodies need time to adjust. The process is a real pain in the beginning. It levels out eventually and you don't even think about it. Hang in there hugs

      Biden's woke agenda?

I wonder if there will be law enforcement procedural shows coming this fall. I can imagine Law and Order: Genital Crimes Unit, or perhaps, FBI: Domestic Genitalia. Then again, maybe they will dedicate a CSI program about the dedicated members of the Oklahoma State Police Genital Screening Unit. Good to know that those Oklahomans have their priorities squared away.
    • KatieSC
Protections? Well, when they mandate that some who is transgender can get facial and genital electrolysis paid as it is essential to affirming care, or when they mandate and pay for facial feminization surgery, speech therapy/voice affirmation surgery, I will believe that the order is effective. One of biggest hurdles for many transgender individuals is the cost of care. I remember when my one insurance company tried to say that my speech therapy and voice surgery were "cosmetic". I remember when they blocked paying for my facial surgery. I remember the fight I had to get electrolysis. These procedures could save someone's life if the procedures help the individual successfully transition, and are no longer misgendered.

I don't think it should be.  Nor do I see Project 2025 as pushing Christian nationalism.

The agencies are supposed to work for him.  The problem, as conservatives found out in Trump 1, was they will ignore the president and do their own thing.  The agencies are supposed to be under his control.   Congress delegated some of its law making authority to the agencies, which is another problem.   The bloated federal government needs to be trimmed.  Dept Education is worthless - test scores have dropped since it was instituted in the Carter administration consistently, and it is currently implementing Biden's woke agenda more than doing anything else.

I hope to eventually wear a suit for dance but don't know what exactly to look for. I feel like jumpsuit is safe option but I have been interested in wearing button up and formal pants. Is there a certain brand i should look for or sites I should look at for tips? My mom is not exactly keen on me wearing too masc clothing like suits just yet but is okay with jumpsuits. Also is there hair styling tips availible, my hair looks like image below. I might be able to get shorter haircut like pixie but am not sure yet.

It’s never been about him, but he is the Presidential nominee for the Presidency that starts in…2025. I don’t see a lot of conflation that this is a “Trump doctrine”, it a doctrine that benefits him surely, but it is a plan to instill crony governance and enact very Christian conservative (if not purely Christian nationalist) “order” on the country. If you don’t see this as the Right doubling down on Big G government, I don’t know what to tell them. Getting rid of agencies and giving the authority directly to the Executive isn’t shrinking government. It’s consolidation power.
