Reaching my target weight

That’s great Natalie. I am right there with you. My mind and my body have had a real adjustment this year. I attribute most of it to the exercise, but I’ve been into PD audiobooks lately as well. And I found a lot of what’s in them I was already doing. But it’s sure nice to get that reassurance that you’re on the right track too.

Another day, another challenge beaten! Today was day 25-26ish of 42. Hardest workout yet I think. A few times I literally couldn’t move. The stronger workouts are definitely the ones I struggle with the most. 

 There’s 17 days left now. And Ive seen such great changes. Can’t wait to be sporting that bikini top this summer! Heck 2 weeks till South Carolina and I’m in GREAT shape!! ????‍♀️??‍♀️?

on the the subject of weight loss I was down to 173 pounds this morning. I’m thinking by the end of May I would like to be at least down to 168.

I was at 178 yesterday. But it was not on an empty stomach. I’d already had over 1/2 a gallon of liquid (by 5am!!) so I’d guess my low number is around 176ish. 

Today I only got 1/2 of my workout in before I had to stop. Ingrown toenail. I have an apt today to have that checked. But once the pain made me cry I stopped. I’ll try to finish later today. It’s only 9:23 to go. And I’m happy to say size 10 jeans are a tad baggy now!! I may hit my dream of size 8 afterall!

I tell you what, I was looking in the mirror last night while I was helping the lil guy brush his teeth and I was elated. I am amazed with how my shape is now. Still not where I will eventually end up but damn girl! Me likey!! And not many confused looks at this point. It’s working well. And that’s amazing to me. Literal tears of joy.

No workout today. I am currently sitting in the waiting room to have my toes fixed. But I lost 2 pounds yesterday. Idk if it was the hours of crying and the gallon of tears or the angry 4 mile run until I collapsed and couldn’t move that did it, but hey a pound down or two is a pound down rite?! Rite. 

Stay motivated y’all. If I can stay motivated through this, you can keep going too!! ❤️

No exercise since Thursday. But as of yesterday morning I was down 7 pounds from Thursday. Yeah. 171.  I hadn’t really eaten. I ate a lot yesterday. But all crap. Popcorn, Applebee’s, spaghetti, chicken nuggets. Lol. It was an explosion of unhealthiness. So I’m sure I gained yesterday. I hope I did at least. Not eating for 3 days and losing 7 pounds is not healthy. Sucks. I tell you what.

One day of bad eating isn't too bad.  But you have to stay clean the rest of the time.

Well it was a rough week. No exercise since last Thursday, which was a VERY active day. But I didn’t eat for 3 days and then had my crap food day. I was down way too many pounds and I was in a bad place.  But I’ve gotten myself back stable and it’s time to get back on the fitness horse. Although I do have toe surgery tomorrow. I am back on a decent eating regimen. And I’m back to 175ish. I am happy. But it’s gonna be a rough week jumping back into week 5 after this time away. But it is what it is. Can’t let life ruin everything.

So I think I’m firmly at the 175 mark now. So that’s 25 pounds lost since mid January. And I’m only about 10 pounds from my target area of 160-170. My body has changed so much. It’s truly wonderful. 

Tomorrow I get back on the horse too. No more 4am workouts. Just exercise 4-5 days a week. 2 with my sweetie and 2-3 alone while she’s working. I’m really missing my shakeology. My bm are all messed up. My allergies are far worse even too. That stuff is truly a superfood that everyone should drink. 

I’ll post more. But not like it’s been. Swapping to a more relaxed exercise life. And truly happy.

So I have not posted here in awhile and I am still working on trying to lose weight and working out.  Yesterday I was all unhealthful with having my first beer since December and eating Little ceaser pizza and having chocolate and when I stepped on the scale this morning, I lost 2 lbs.  I went from 214 to 212. I am wondering if it is because I was active with cleaning my house and I had 18000 steps yesterday and I am working on refinishing my coffee table that I manage to get my matobelisim to pick up and burn off what I ate and them some.

After 3 weeks of being unable to do any more than walk, I finally pushed play this morning at 4am. Got my butt beat, but finished. And I feel great!  Two weeks left of t-20 and then I’m going to try something new. 

Feels so good to be back to normal. ????❤️

Things have been really hectic this month. I’m sorry about not posting here more. The good news is I’m down to 171.3 pounds and my waist is down to 37.5 inches. Things are continuing to progress and I’m roughly 35 pounds from my goal.

Crazy progress to report today. I weighed in at 170 pounds. I weighed myself 5 times just to be sure it was remotely accurate. I’m not sure how I lost so much weight when I drank 5 bottles of water, had two large meals and ate a package of peanut m&ms at lunch because work handed them out and s’mores pop tarts for breakfast. I did walk a little over seven miles yesterday. I was hoping to lose weight I just wasn’t aiming for such drastic weight loss. I’ll continue to stay healthy by eating when I’m hungry.

Well, I will chime in. While at my sons over the weekend. I noticed he had a scale in their bathroom. So I decided to get a good laugh and check my weight. Last time I was weighted at the VA earlier this year. I was 245. ? When I weighted my self at my sons 136. I have lost 9 whole pounds. ? I was surprised to say the least. I guess that watching my calorie intake. Cutting down on sodas. seems to work. Now I just need to lose the other 41+ pounds. LOL.

Well after a rather lengthy hiatus from my more structured exercise, I have just purchased my next personal goal! Morning Meltdown 100!!


Its 100 different workouts 20-30 mins a day with a trainer named Jericho McMatthews. She seems really great and inspirational and the free preview workout was pretty good. Pretty sure we will be setting up a challenge group on fb as well. If anyone is interested let me know. Our challenge groups are 100% free, male free, and so awesome. And it’s not necessary to even have the system or Beachbody at all. It’s only about supporting each other in whatever exercise and activity you are doing along with a lot of other health stuff. But most of us do use Beachbody. But not always all. Anyways figured I’d resurrect an old stream. ???

I'm looking fro exercise and dieting routines as part of a general health and transitioning plan. I came across your post on my search and would be very interested in doing a supportive exercise and activity routine - esp. male free.  Is the group still active?

      I've been recommended some books which I have purchased and will be going through this weekend but while I'm driving or working I would like to listen to some podcasts. I would like to get a list of podcasts specifically on the trans experience but anything trans related would be great.       Hi dear friends! Happy Friday to those of you who celebrate Friday, lol. Please forgive me if I already said this, but I've decided to quit my job. I believe I shared that my employer had been giving me the run around regarding disability accommodations. For me, that was the final straw - is it worth it to fight for this job which becomes exponentially more stressful (education in Florida, nuff said)? No. I'm waiting to get paid for something by them, then I'll get the ball rolling on my exit. I do plan to document all the HR shenanigans I've encountered and send an email to the VP of HR, and possibly cc the college President. I'm also considering attaching my lengthy grievance narrative from the official grievance I filed a couple years ago just to give them an idea of what the last few years have been like for me at work. No intention on burning bridges, but it occurred to me that if anything legal-wise comes up later, that it would be helpful to have such documentation.    Since I decided to quit my job, I was flying high on a pink cloud, feeling so happy and creative. Then, I got socked with major anxiety suddenly. It got so bad, I've considered pursuing psychiatric care for the first time in many many years. I think I will pursue this because I want to document the aspect of my ptsd which is related to living with chronic illness because I plan to apply for SSD (Social Security Disability), and the more thorough the documentation, the better. Speaking of which, as an educator with an educator's schedule, all my annual doctor's appointments tend to get scheduled in the summer. I've been looking at my calendar and it seems like I'll be seeing 150 (slight exaggeration) doctors this summer. Related to that, since I've been on the phone so often getting records, labs, prescriptions, appointments, etc., I feel I've been ma'am'ed about a zillion times. Whyeeeeee? (That's a rhetorical question.) it's so gross to me to be called ma'am. I am doing well last few days. Tired, but feeling much less overwhelmed by this huge change in my life. Plus, I have been making more art, and have been getting some more opportunities in that vein.    This week, I came out to my choir director. It just came up organically in conversation. It felt great to tell him. He's very open minded. Last night we had rehearsal. I noticed that he referred specifically to "SA" (sopranos and altos) when he wanted to hear us, whereas before he might have said "ladies"! That made me very happy.    I also came out to a close friend this week. Again, I had not planned on it. She was telling me about some challenges in her relationship with her bf, and I just opened up and told her about challenges I'd been going through with my spouse since realizing I'm neither cis nor het. She was great - totally loving & supportive. I feel a lot closer to her now.    @Ticket For Epic & @Heather Nicole I also suffer from major social anxiety, although amazingly I don't when I write here (although I used to). I think it's a testament to how genuinely supportive and compassionate this community endeavors to be. Ironically, when I disclose to friends irl how hideously anxious I am sometimes, they are amazed bc I "fake" being fine so well (until I have a meltdown, that is). Similarly, from my perspective, you two both seem so sweet, kind & thoughtful. Regardless of how you feel you're being perceived, for what it's worth, that's how I see you. A friend once told me that whenever I find myself fretting over how I've been perceived (did I say something terrible? have I unwittingly hurt someone? do they hate me now?), I should recall my true heart's intention the moment I said or did the thing I'm being hypervigilant about. When I realize my intention in that moment was loving, altruistic, vulnerable, whatever, it gives me a bit of relief - a small reality check - because I do trust in the power of intention.    @Ticket For Epic that meme - to anyone who thinks trans people, especially young trans people (bc that's a growing demographic), are "choosing" trans ID just to be chic or special or something...geez, right? I mean, there are people who crave drama and conflict, and I'm to the point where I am PROUD to be trans, but why would someone "choose" to be trans given all that. To be clear, I'm contesting the incorrect notion that trans is a choice. Lol, there are less expensive and life-disrupting "hobbies" one could adopt!    @Hannah Renee oh no! Is there nothing to be done? I mean seriously, they ought to consider your safety and mental health. Do you think there is someone in administration you could appeal to? I hope so.    @Mmindy all my life ppl have commented on my soft skin. Now, I understand it's due to my (previously undiagnosed) Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (a genetic collagen defect). So now when someone asks me what my secret is, I tell them it's faulty genes, lol!

      Jani I don’t feel very strong.  With one day to go before 75 and being on HRT for 10 the bales are getting very heavy.  Sleep does come easy!   Mindy we use the bales for our sheep.  I try to have around 300 to be safe.

      Money can cause us to revisit pain. Mine is in my arthritic hands from decades of blue collar work. Now I'm semi retired and building training equipment in my small shop.
