Today I'm wearing a beautiful gift from one of my daughters...a personalized ring with CZs and cultured amethysts...the fact that she personalized it with my real name is a wonderful affirmation of her acceptance...I love this!

Wife just braided my hair. It’s amazing how euphoric something that simple is making me.

Sometimes it's the smallest of things that provide the most profound feelings!

Black is definitely my happy color but now with thigh high boots. Today as the first day I wore these boots out of the house.

Oh, and here's the clothes I got from the resale shop. A little mix and match.  Before anyone asks...I 'm aware the outfits aren't all black. I feel fine, I'm not sick.

I sure hope I get away with being a trans lady guitarist...because it's so much fun doing what I love as the person I love.

So far, so good.  The people involved all know about me, and I'm booked through the summer.  Scary, but I get a lot of courage from watching all of my friends here press on down the road to happiness.  Here's what I wore tonight...It reminds me a little of the picture that started this thread.

Wowza!  Warms my heart to see you being happy.  I might need an excuse to head out to Cali to see a show.

My Via Spiga Italian leather boots arrived and they fit! (mostly). They're real leather so I think I need to break them in a bit. A little snug just in front of the arch at the widest point.  If they don't stretch naturally they are worth bringing in to have that done professionally. I bought them used but they were only worn once. I suspect they didn't fit the original owner. They are a bear to get on though ;)

Seconded. I love the boots too. I've got a similar pair, but they're mushroom leather and have more straps because I love my straps and buckles.

They really hurt my feet after a couple of hours though.

Hugs!

I have a friend in the shoe biz that says she can stretch them if need but her suggestion was to wear two pairs of socks with them while sitting around the house.  A careful application of a hair dryer will facilitate stretching as well.  (don't cook them was the warning)

Interesting, I was just looking into how to stretch shoes. I have 2 pair of vegan leather boots that need some help. I’m planning to try the hair dryer method on one pair tonight. I’ll report back on it.

That’s funny Lizzy, you think if we see you picking out some bright colors. We’ll need to do a wellness check on you. While I like and lean more to the Goth Colors too, we shouldn’t limit ourselves.

Wife was scariest. Now that that is done, kids are now equally scary. No rush on that especially since I don't see any public appearances any time soon.

My outfit for the Pride Festival
    • Ivy
Got home from the Pride Fest. It went pretty well.  Really there weren't any protesters.  I saw a couple of guys with signs with them, but nothing really.  Someone told me they were up at the end of the block for a bit, but I never saw them. They did have a drag show.  I had never been to one.  It was okay I guess, kinda fun.  But this was "family friendly" and on the court square of course. I did see some people I knew, including my next door neighbor - which surprised the heck out of me.  I think she was there because a family member had a booth with baked goods. Didn't see the BDSM folks though.

I have a son that lives up there.  I hate the traffic myself.

Thank you @Betty K. They definitely matter and crest strong emotional and mental hurdles that try to trip me up daily. Sometimes I wish they away and others they scream at me and tell me I am a lie. The laser for my face has helped a lot, but it hasn’t taken care of everything—and I can’t afford starting electrolysis yet. I know it will be covered by insurance here, but I’ll need to be in network for quite some time before I can use it. I will also likely need new letters from a new counselor, too. Never mind voice training…   @EasyE, most definitely. It’s hard not to feel a burden on those we’d open up to.    @Ashley0616, thank you! Things could be so much worse, I fully realize. We can take the hits, but they still hurt. Others aren’t so lucky. 😢 Moving will pay off, for many reasons. Hopefully sooner rather than later!   Thank you all for being there for me!

@christinakristy2021 NOVA!  I lived in NOVA from 1984 to 2006.  The traffic drove me out.  I lived in Centreville.  Which part are you in?  We loved riding the bicycle trails W&OD, C&O Canal, Mount Vernon Trail, Capital Crescent.  There sure is a lot to do in that area.   After NOVA we moved to Stephan’s City which is near Winchester.   Willow
