Yes @Mirrabooka...This is very true....But we also, as women, know what body we desire for ourselves and what it takes to address our dysphoria with our bodies...and for me, that means larger breasts than what I have now. So, I'm still making wishes on those falling stars!!

I wish every night. I ought to know  better but  what harm?

Having said that I  actually have B cups. Honestly I  measured them several  times. But I  want more. My wife is double D, she  hates that and I would too. Too much. My lack of interest in breasts , you know how men are like, was a surprise to her.

Not anymore. It  was I suppose a red flag.

Oh well

Yes...my wife is also double D's but I am not even at an A cup....yet...Im am rather small in stature so a full B cup would be ideal for me....maybe a small C cup....but thats big enough....I want to be able to wear a loose t-shirt and be unmistakable that I have breasts....and I want enough to have cleavage in low cut blouses and swimsuits.

Cup size is related to band size.  A "B" cup with a 40+ band is larger than  "B" with a 34 band.

Yea...Im a 34 band size...so 34-B/C would be just fine with me

Hi,

I started HRT on the 1st November 2023, and from day one I was already rubbing my nipples hoping to feel some pain (As if I didn't know it was going to take time). It was so exciting when in the middle of January I started to feel like they were burning. I wasn't sure if it was my mind just wishing for it to happen, but after a few days the pain was unmistakable, and both painful and exciting. They seem to be growing also, for now in that cone shape. But I'm not sure, it might be just my mind wishing to see some growth. Now that I think I should measure my chest I wish I knew what did I do with my measuring tape...

It's exciting, but at the same time unnerving as I know the time is getting close to come out to my loved ones.

I don't measure them other than as an attempt to guess at a bra size.  I need a 42 band.  The bra I mostly wear is an A cup, and I'm just glad to be able to fill that.  With a large ribcage the boobettes seem even smaller.  On the other hand, they are quite real, as been shown on several occasions.

A lot of my dresses are fairly high-waisted which kinda emphasizes what is there.

While I would be happy to get a bit more, just having them is satisfying.

Get one that is flexible. Measure your rib cage just underneath your breast. That is the size that you need. Next measure your chest from the nipple area and take that measurement. Now for every inch that is bigger than your rib cage for instance 42 and 45 which is 42C. I'm now a 42DD. I was 42C. Mine are growing more due to supplements but I will not recommend them because it is risky. A lot of problems could happen but to me it's worth the risk.

That seems to be the case for AMAB folks especially; band = exact measurement I've found. Some guides say to add 2 to get a band size, don't do that. For cup size, the math doesn't work out great, I'm a D by measurement but can't hope to fill a 36D (yet?). I can fill a B, however. There is the fruit cup method that could work for you too: cup your boobs with your hands, if they're the size of half lemons they're A's, oranges they're B's, grapefruits they're C's, and so on.

Odd I haven't heard of the measurements not working for someone. I guess I have learned something new.

A few of us I know of here spent many moons on a gynecomastia forum. I learned a lot and how different the AMAB chest affects bra purchases.

One solution for having a larger band size and smaller cup size than cis women is to purchase an "extender", which is an economical way to increase your band size. For example, I'm 37.5 band size but a 38B doesn't fit well. A 36A with an extender fits me perfectly.

An extender provides 1 to 3 inches more to your bandwidth, typically. Worth checking out.

I did find my measuring tape and saw no difference in the size of my chest. But that's ok, I can tell by the pain that something is happening. I'm trying to be realistic and not expecting to grow much. Anything is a bonus for me. I think wearing high-waisted is a winner. I always thought it was a good way to go for the hourglass shape with dresses and skirts flaring out, but I can imagine it will help also with the top part, if I get some growth.

Thanks for the advice. I did find my measuring tape and got 32 and 35. I've never bought bras and I think it will be hard to find given the small difference between both measurements. I hope I get some growth and the need to get bras. According to what you say about the inch difference, would this make it a 32C?

Don't get discouraged.  It took a long time for me to see much growth.  I was on a fairly low dose in the beginning.  It is not the same for everyone.

Thanks Ivy, yes it's a long journey and I am happy that I am already going through it. I just had an increase in my dose so I am excited about the future.

I think so the whole bra thing is a minefield even for cis women. I'm a 38 but it seems too big. My wife is a 36 DD. She hates being that  big  as would I. But I have  tried on a bra of hers and it fits but obviously not the DD.

I know I'm  B cup. So maybe a 36A might work?

It might. There's two things to consider. Firstly, 'sister sizing' where the cup volume is roughly the same across a series of sizes, for example 34D/36C/38B. It's not always entirely accurate but it can be a solution.

The other thing is going down a band size but keeping the same cup, knowing that the cup will be smaller in a 36A compared to a 38A for example, and using an extender. The only problem here is that the 36 bra will not only have a shorter band, but probably shorter straps as well. Running out of adjustment might mean that the bra becomes ill-fitting and basically useless.

Yes. 32C you could find. My size is difficult since it is a larger size. I would recommend not getting an underwire bra.

Just remember that measuring only gives you a 'starting point'. It's not set in stone without trying on many styles and variations (sister sizing).

I always recommended that a person goes in for a fitting. They will professionally measure you and get you many bras to try on before purchasing.

For instance, I find my push-up bras to be a good enough fit at a 50 DD, yet my standard molded cups bras fit well at a 48 DDD (without extenders). I need the DD cups on the push-up bra to create hella cleavage as desired because I have wide set breasts. None of our boobs are the same, and a perfectly measured bra might not work where another the same size will.

Thanks Ashley, what would be a good kind for a first bra?

With all the possible combinations, yeah, better to go for a fitting, rather than buying online, which I normally do for other things.

Full support is what you want with having C cups. It won't kill your back. As I mentioned wire free unless you want to eventually be stabbed by the wire. You aren't going to like to constantly adjust padding in sport bras but to me they are more comfortable and you don't have to deal with clasps.

You can put the thing on backwards to fasten it, and then turn it around, put arms in, pull it up and get things situated.  I watched my ex plenty of times.  Works fine, but slipping over the nips can be interesting.

Essentially this! Don't even assume a brand's measurements will work from bra to bra, even! It's maddening! 😁

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷
