Almost 3.1K posts in under a year. It'll be interesting to see how many I can get in one year!

Hi, does anyone know either how normal or how rare it is to grow to a big enough size to not be able to go topless around your boys anymore after just 7 1/2 weeks of HRT? When I say "big enough" I am only talking about maybe an A cup...if that but def very noticeable and recognizable as female breasts!! FYI: I am only 5ft 9in and 150 lbs and have not gained any weight since going on HRT so they are def not moobs.

congratulations dear..sounds great

I have been on estrogen for 6 1/2 months and yesterday I measured my chest. My band measurement was 40” and my bust was 42”. So 40B from a flat chest in less than 7 months. They still do not quite fill a Maidenform 40B bra cups, but they are getting there. Hopefully I won’t need to wear silicone inserts anymore soon. I am hoping I get to at least a larger C cup. The downside is that my breasts are frequently itchy and often sore.

good for you dear. my guess is soreness is good sign things are going on there. water them n hope. smiles

actually was speaking to someone other day n they said the growth leveled off after a few years  which coincided with a few years of very high stress..n then when the high stress resolved, she grew another cup size.. ;)

You have grown more breast tissue than most some only get one size and that is it. I went from 42C to 42DD but I'm also taking supplements. It's risky to take the supplements but to me it's worth the risk.

I'm into my fourth month of HRT and just titrated up in dosage after my last checkup. This is my life. 🤭

I have yet to grow out of my B cup bras, but I have noticed more fullness, having started with gynecomastia. I am seeing less gapping in bras with my right breast, which has always been smaller than my left. My areolae are slightly pronounced/projected now, that are larger but not vastly greater in circumference, and I have noticed little to no nipple changes beyond their painful sensitivity.

I hope this is not stupid question..I have yet to start n not sure if doc will approve..but once you start growing buds n such, can you still wear forms to get to the size you were?

I'm a dad, so when I start blossoms they will be smaller for a long time n probably need surgical augmented..that's fine. I don't want to go ddd to aa to ddd..

any ideas?

thank you

I have never worn breastforms, but I assume as long as they don't aggravate your nipples you could.

I don't see why not. I have worn forms since I came out.

I don't understand why this would make a difference being a "dad" I mean, as far as how they would grow.

Going through the same. Areola more noticeable (which i like) and very sensitive, more in a painful way. Have not experienced any erotic sensation from them.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It helps to hear I'm not alone.

On HRT for approximately 3 months here.

I wore Breast Forms (B-Cup) untill I started showing my natural breasts enough where I felt comfortable not wearing them. But, while I still have them, I am  happy with my A cup natural breasts for the time being while I wait for them to continue growing (I am about 6 months HRT). When I did wear them, I did not feel any irritation or anything to my natural breasts....except I did notice they for some reason made me sweat more under them...assumingly due to the more form fitting contour of my natural breast and the breast forms. But no...it did not hurt a thing.

^ Sometimes, in the days when I did wear breast forms far more often, I never felt any sort of irritation either. Yes, maybe I would get a bit hot and sweat under them, but it was never an issue. What I always found amazing if I wore them even for just a few hours is how much they heated up all the way through! And also, even if I brushed up against them, I could feel the transfer of feeling all the way through them to my natural flesh. 😎

Wow.  I'm kinda surprised.

I have worn mine a lot because I'm still not happy with 42DD. I want at a minimum of 42EE. I will say this though it's nice to see them naturally while wearing a night gown. Everything shows which I almost feel the need to wear a bra even at night.

I wouldn't want to wear a bra to bed.  But mine are really only A sized.  And my flannel nightgown keeps things decent anyway.

So I never thought this topic would intrigue me, yet here I am ... coming up on three months HRT ... I have definitely noticed some "plumping up" going on ... sometimes it appears more pronounced than other times but maybe that is just me ... frankly, with a T-shirt on, I look like I have been working out ...

So my question: when they talk about "buds" appearing over time, what exactly does that mean (yes, total boob noob here)? And is it something that when it happens you will know? Haven't really experienced much pain, tenderness or noticed any really structural changes other than things filling out. Sometimes, slight itching but maybe that is more having a bra on all day (which I really enjoy).

Thanks, I'll hang up and listen...

You should eventually start to feel thicker tissue under your nipples, and they can grow to golf ball size or larger. This is the initial phase of breast growth and as more breast tissue develops the buds should soften. We are all a little different, and our experiences can vary. I had an interruption to my HRT for 3 months (incompetent endocrinologist) and my buds disappeared. When we recovered my estrogen levels they partly re formed, but not the same shape and position as they were. Some people will encourage you to start progesterone to stimulate breast growth, but this can be a mistake as progesterone matures breast cells and can lead to development ceasing. So it is recommended to wait until you have reached Tanner Stage 3 before considering progesterone.

You might experience pain in your breasts, and this is attributed to growth, but I had lots of pain, and little breast growth! You will eventually get tired of bras, and enjoy your time without them! Enjoy this part of your transition, few adults get to experience what we do, and it can be very affirming.

Hugs,

Allie

For me, 4 1/2 years in, buds have appeared and disappeared at seemingly random times. Your mileage may vary. Good wishes with your journey!

Yes, it does sound like a very good book, a very touching and timely story.  But I don't think I'll read it.  It is painful enough to live in the now, and face some of the evils that this administration has wrought.  I'm not much interested in reading about the same sort of thing happening to imaginary characters living in the 1940's.   Carolyn Marie

The treatment of Trans people who very much existed in the pre - WWII years did not really improve with the end of the war.  I have not read this book, but have read and studied others about the people involved.  The story is sobering and even saddening, but one that needs to be told.  Our fears are historic, but so is our dream to simply be people among people doing people things in life including love.

Yes, my first thought was, "That means that..."  But like you, I'll try to concentrate on the positive.

Good morning    It is our 53rd anniversary today.  There have been good times and bad, love and hate but we worked things out and here we are 53 years later and still together.  There have been a few times I thought we were done.  Once I was ready to call it, once she was and one time I was even making contingency plains certain it was on the horizon but all that is in the past now.   We are even going shopping today to see if we can find nice outfits to celebrate our anniversary.  Ok it’s a far cry from going on a cruise or a trip somewhere but I don’t think she could handle that even if we could afford it.  She has really aged in the past year.  And honestly, so have I. In her case it is physically with some short term memory loss.  In my case it is strictly memory loss.  Sometimes I really have to think about things that just came snap snap snap to me before.  I do things to exercise my mind but they aren’t always helping.  I know it does no good to say “I told you… “ to my wife.  If she doesn’t remember right then and there it never happened.     So to all you younger coffee drinkers, stay healthy, stay happy and stay active as long as you can.  Couch potatoing is bad.  TV is ok in limitation but nothing beats going for a bicycle ride or walking, jogging or running if you can.  I am not and never was an athlete.  In fact a medical DNA test showed that I was in the lower 25% on that, som-armed to other men and boys.  Yet another confirming thing that points to my being transgender.  I used my brain instead.   but this is getting long and becoming dribble so I’ll stop.  Just stay active mentally and physically.

A good thought for finding peace of mind today is: "Focus on what you can control and let go of what you cannot." This encourages you to prioritize your actions and thoughts within your sphere of influence, while releasing the need for control over external factors. This approach can lead to a more calm and less stressful day.
