Crew?? Crew??

I knew I shouldn't have turned them loose down there!! i just bamed in to a ship waist deep in these furry little critters that purr-got to make a note to keep Ashley away from them-no telling what tey'd end up doing.

Poor Opal has been in tears-Starfleet is sounding distinctly testy-there's a big house laying in the square and no one has brought me any ruby slippers like i ordered!

My astrogateor is busy baking cookies in the Munchkinland bakery and hasn't been answering hails.

Dee Jay and Lizzy are really bugging everyone right now with their project and the poor lion is sobbing his eyes out because Lizzy has declared that he can't have any more ice cream because it's unhealthy while the tears have rusted that annoying tin man solid again!

As if that weren't enough they found the scarecrow laying in the field with a huge grin and a peace pipe by his side.

I heard some yappy little dog was chasing the mayor all around the fountain while Hilda just sat there laughing and yelling "Atta Boy Toto"!

While that gooey sweet little girl keeps warbling about rainbows. What's the big deal about rainbows anyway?? I told her I'd be happy to fly her over a rainbow in a shuttle craft anytime she wanted-but did that shut her up?-Oh no-she just keeps on and on and on. I'm tempted to put her into stasis till we leave.

What's that I see on the view screen -why it's the ruby slippers!!-and Dee Jay is wearing them while Lizzy talks to some ditz in a fru fru pink dress and really silly hat! Is that wand in her hand?

It's all too much!! -Micha-Micha??-Where are you??-I need a quadruple and keep them coming. Michaaaa??????!!

Good morning crew!

That was a good party. Please note the pretty pink cookie on the arm of my command chair and treat it with great care. It is sharing the command experience today.

That looks just like the cookie i gave to Jean

JJ  did you use the transporter to nab Jeans cookie :D

Or did you use the replicators to make one of your own :P

Sure you can!

They had them back in Twentieth Century Earth - Monkey Pod Trees!

And no that cookie on the arm of the command chair was not the one you gave to Jean - she took care of it rather quickly knowing that cookie thieves are prevalent in all corners of the Galaxy.

Love ya,

Sally

Morning All!

We appear to be over run with tribbles -I can no longer use the view screen

Science and biology I need solutions to this problem ! Now!!

We will be leaving Munchkinland today at the mayor's request. Our next destination is some place called the Emerald City. Since our mission is to foster and explore acceptance among indigenous peoples it would behoove us to present a different approach in the Emerald City. Although I understand that Astrogator Sally did make friends among the Munchkins with her cookies-the disappearance of the Lollipop Twins lollipops have been blamed on us. As as the behavior of the Lion since Lizzy put him on a diet and the subsequent rusting of that tin creaure has also been laid at our door. We will be beaming them aboard sorty also at the Munchkins request.

Is there anyone aboard with experience with rusty tin men? Or proper anti-depressant dosage for portly lions?

Has anybody seen Dee Jay an te ruby slippers-that girl who keeps wanting to fly over rainbows seems to feel they are hers?

Hilda-your assignment is to retrieve your pipe and the scarecrow from that field.

Vanna honey as Sally said that isn't the same cookie-it's a very special cookie with feelings and is to be protected at all costs. It is now looking out the window of my ready room.

Captain - captain!

Er, Captain James:

I was looking in the file drawer marked O-Z, and found some answers! "OIL CAN" and "PEACEPIPE and "SLIMFAST" and "TRIBBLES" and WWOLP."

Herein summarized FYI and FAIRDAY (For Action Iffya Reallyever Do Anything Yousfull):

OIL CAN - summarized in the film about the Male Witch of the File Cabinet - Tin Man's only hope!

PEACEPIPE - 'Tobacco" only - it's made for use with TOBACCO (see baned substances of the 21st Earth Century) Scarecrow's only hope! (DO NOT USE MATCHES - see film reference above).

SLIMFAST - ancient injestable fluid affecting weight reduction - BUT take INSTEAD of meals, not WITH every meal! Lion's only hope.

TRIBBLES - refer to Episode 44 - ancient cathode tube intertainment - DANGERIOUS and to be destroyed immediately - suspected to be IMAGO phase of the Chewbacca

WWOLP - Related to Oz villianess "I.M. Shrinking" - caution, known to use censorbots.

Additional research pending.

Resspectfully submitted

Opal-yes-bug out of there now!

Dee Jay and Evan Oh my! Well maybe we should scan the forest and the poppy field on the way to the Emerald City.

Ashley-Threats are inappropriate behavior on Starships and may result in disciplinary action! In these circumstances I will restore te pipe to uor posession wit the cautin that te scarecrow is not to be exposed to it again. As Councelier EAL so rightly pointed out-fire and straw are not a fortuitousness combination. As for tribbles-you are hereby assigned to see that the are no more tribbles outside your personal quarters in future

Councelier EAL

Thank you for your timely report

Do you have a possible location for this "oil can"? And information on it's application

Re: "Slim Fast" -ow do you cause said lin to ingest this product wile abstaining from others? Isn't a hungry lion a bit intimidating?

Ashley has been assigned to deal with the tribbles-the punishmnt fitting the crime as it were.

as for the WWOLP-wat indications are usually present to indicate the approachof said person and/or censor bots? This one really throws me curve testicles!

One last item-can you ascertain the whereabouts of the ruby slippers-they were last seen on the feet of Ensign Donna Jean yesterday evening. At that time she was also dressed as a giant tribble but I believe she has since reverted to her beloved ladybug guise and may be flying around the Enchanted Forest. I am concerned that she would be vulnerable should a sqaud of flying monkeys approach.

Awaiting your reply and further report!

Best I can find is an archaic refernce to an Arkansas ARMY Recruitment Ad on the Cathrode Tube device

"Join the Army - Be OIL you CAN be!"

Re: "Slim Fast" -ow do you cause said lion to ingest this product while abstaining from others? Isn't a hungry lion a bit intimidating?

Captain, visual records show this lion had a feast-potential of gingam-girl, scraggly scarecrow, and silver wrapred woodsman to eat. It opted for annoying dog and got its nose swatted, lost all appetite and becan a journey of a thousand enchated miles on an empty stomach. This creature was NOT dangerous, except maybe a potential of catching the mange. I suggest offering it up to the lion as a 'courage booster" similar to what is often enbibed in a bar.

Ashley has been assigned to deal with the tribbles-the punishmnt fitting the crime as it were. Sorry to tribble you about that Sir}.

Captain JJ,

Don't worry sir, I'm sure that things will seem much more normal in the Emerald City, that is either a place called Seattle, Washington on Earth or a local Jazz Rock band in Dallas, Texas circa 1970 - 2010 Earth.

Either way we will be better off here.

Establishing synchronous orbit above the Emerald City - my but it is very green!

All landing parties have been checked for bees before they were beamed aboard.

As for Ashley, we have confiscated the Bee cannon and locked away near the food replicators - would you like some fresh honey in your Earl Grey, Sir?

OK, crew let's try not to embarrass the Captain again on this shore leave.

Love ya,

sally

oh!

'Bee'med a 'board' - oh my! Talking about a bizarro solution - changing bees to boards in the 'beammeupscotee". Or were the bees just made so tired and unintersted in anything they lost interest? And why would they put money into savings anyway and...

oh 'honey' into savings! Sweet!

nevermind...

I started estrogen (oral) a little before age 50 and not the maximum dose either and also no blockers. It almost immediately accentuated the feminine features I already had, and expanded my already soft areas of skin, widened my hips and distributed more fat to my thighs and increased my breast size. There seem to be some subtle changes to my face too though I doubt I am any more passable than I was a decade ago, it’s just nice to not use breast forms anymore. I haven’t switched to injections as planned and there really hasn’t been much change after the first 6 months and my body fights back; my E levels dropped and T increased even on the same dose so it has not really done much for me. It sounds like injections are the far better way to go, plus progesterone after a while if the doctor will prescribe that.    As is often said, everyone is unique and one’s mileage may vary, and what works for one person may not for another.

This is so sad. The violence in general in Washington State seems to have ramped up a lot, and gender-based violence and hate crimes seem to be worse as well. My parents once lived in Renton but I don’t care for that city and never go there. I don’t think it really matters though as crimes like this can happen anywhere and often are perpetrated by a male who was in a prior relationship with the victim.

I’ve never been in therapy specifically labeled as such, butI think IFS therapy evolved from treatment of dissociative identity disorder in which one’s various alters or parts are treated as an internal family, and each part is like a separate individual who can be spoken to individually or have dialogue with other parts. In a person with full DID, doing that supposedly helps to break down the dissociative barriers that cause that person to not be able to remember what they did for parts of a day or longer. This was the case with me.   Anyone’s mind, though, can be thought of as being compartmentalized to some extent and we all can have an inner child and various aspects of our selves, yet the dissociation is never to a degree that it causes problems like with DID. But the same aspects of working with an internal family or different aspects of self, like the inner child, the rebellious teen, the persecutor parental type, etc, can help heal trauma nonetheless. I think many of us do have sides of us that we don’t like, or others don’t like, and it can be useful to examine how they came about and what purpose they serve as they are often a means of self-protection or coping with anxiety.

We had soup and steamed rice for dinner tonight.  Simple, basic, feed-a-ton-of-people kind of food.  With strawberries for dessert!  We have a huge strawberry patch, so I spent a couple of hours this afternoon picking.  And there's some left over, which I put in the downstairs kitchenette.  Time for a late night snack!     Outside of meals, I mostly live by nibbling on fruit and a few green things.

Well, it is officially summer.  85 degrees outside the last two days, and GF is sick and irritable.  I have to curl up under heavy blankets in my nest, because she's got the AC turned down to the point I expect to see icicles growing on the ceiling.  This is what life is like when your partner is an arctic creature. I should be used to it by now, but just when I think its nice and warm, she has to freeze me.

Been using the wok on the back deck a lot the last few months.  Just got another stock of udon noodles from Amazon and we are using those in the stir fry with onions, peppers and a spicy peanut sauce.  I did this often in the 90's too, but back then I was just using a standard Coleman camp stove instead of this high BTU wok burner.  I've had the burner for a couple years, but haven't been using it regularly until recently.

Tangent, adjacent, opposite...  It's still rock n' roll to me.  I don't know about the "in god we trust" part of the money, but I like the lady with the scale.  And then I look left at the Indian statue on my mantel of Guanyin feeding a drop of liquid to the dragon at her feet.  In god we trust?  The lady with the scale?  Maybe this is too binary.  And then on the other side of Guanyin is that kind of pelican wood bird that sits two feet tall that I hauled back from South America through the Panama canal.  The beak broke in 1998 and I carefully saved the pieces (as I usually do) and attached them back about a decade ago.  I used a drill to make a small hole and then put a finish nail in there.  Then a hole on those two pieces that needed to be attached.  Upper and Lower beak.  There is still a seam showing.  I could cover that up, but the beak is a bright yellow and well, it's better with all the pieces in place and I don't mind seeing the crack.  I guess that is the tangent and the other two are the opposite and adjacent. -money  Why don't coders always code the "-" action in their search fields?  It's not that difficult!

Definitely points to learn and keep in mind.  A bunch of stuff I had put in mental "cold storage" thawed out a bit there and ready again to run through my mill.  As said, a bit long and as usual from her a tad bit challenging.  Overall I see it and can use it as a working hypothesis.
