Hope you feel better. Does tattoo removal leave scars or different colored skin? I have 6 tattoos myself.

I have a lot of respect for the pioneer women. They had tough lives.

Shouldn't long term.  Basically like getting a pretty intense local sunburn. It heals.  They may not be able to get some colors completely out but usually it's a "yellowing" discoloration look from the ink that can't break down.  The longer they were there the harder to get it out I think.  I've been told it may make my skin freckle free in that area though. (Red head, lots of freckles.) these are before and then after 2nd treatment. just had my 3rd. might take 10 total. The darker one was a coverup so A LOT of ink was used and will be harder to get out so that's why 10 sessions.  the lighter one might only be 6 sessions

Thank you everyone for your kind support. I’m going to have to have some hard conversations at home.

My people at work have been good to me today. One of the girls complimented me on my outfit.   Then we joked about how neither of us could remember where we are ordering lunch from. We’re getting sushi so I’m having a cheat day as well.

Awesome on the work day, glad you are having "hard conversation" . Sounds like it's needed.  It might now be as hard as you think, just hard to start.  As long as both parties remember that everyone's feeling are valid it shouldn't escalate or get ugly.

Yeah, that's a lot of money. I may opt to keep mine. I have 4 that were done by my now deceased cousin and 2 that my son did. My cousin did a big eagle on my back and my son did a big phoenix on my back. I would never get rid of those.

Off subject, but I feel it's time to put a real image of me in my profile. I just wish I looked more like the female me. I guess that will come with time and effort. So here I am for now.

Minutes later I was in our bedroom getting some clothes and she started in with bs about how God didn't make me this way and I'm destroying his creation.

This irritates me.

I have a pigeon breast and a berserk immune system that has granted me the "privilege" of chronic bronchial asthma (Know what it feels like for your lungs to make a fist? I do!), eczema (Wow, who died on your side of the bed? Heck, I stopped wearing PJs when I was short because the darn things got blood caked and STUCK TO MY LEGS. Hell of a thing for a three-year-old to deal with.) and alopecia (Hair follicles? What are those? Happy 39th birthday!). On top of that there's some weird congenital thing with my toes that might not even have a name. So thanks mom. Look me in the eye and tell me that thing about mistakes again. I choose to believe that the Goddess gives us the path our soul needs to learn whatever it is we're here to learn. Being transgender is just another piece of that. There are lessons to be learned. I'm doing my best.

Now with that in mind, ahem, "Judge not lest ye be judged." I try to do the best with what I am given. I would never even consider dissuading someone from reaching their dreams and being all they can be. Helping people is amazing! Can your spouse say the same? It seems like she's in the middle of trying to get you to stop doing something you need to do instead of just being happy that her spouse is happy. I'm sorry, but people who use their religion or "God's Will" to keep other people down are just the worst.

We love you dear. Hopefully your spouse will remember how love is supposed to work and get back onboard.

Hugs!

Good. I saw your outfit over in the other thread. You look nice!

Ooh, Sushi is good. My spouse has developed a taste for it, except she only gets it from the grocery store. Once the quarantine is finally over, I hope to take her to the authentic sushi place the next town over.

Hugs!

I think we all do. One of the most magic moments of my journey was when I discovered that I could look into the mirror and see the real me smiling back. Give it time. You'll find the real you peeking back when the time is right.

Plymouth, Novi, Farmington Hills?? Redford Maybe?

I am not one for Sushi. I will take Shrimp, or crab. I wish Southerland's Fish and Chips were still around. They were some good eating.

Warmed up some about 30now. Still no snow. Of course we are forecast for some. I would love to have a job were you can be right 50% of the time and still get paid.

Farmington Hills. Maybe Novi. It's on Grand River a bit before Novi Road if you're headed West. At least I'm assuming it's authentic. Last time I was in there it was packed and my friend and I were the only people not speaking Japanese. Definitely good though.

Now I want fish and chips though. Great place for it I could walk to. I won't though. Stupid diet.

I think you're being generous with the 50%. As far as seafood goes, I haven't had anything more than tuna fish salad for probably 20 years. Not since Mountain Jacks restaurant left Bloomington Illinois. They had great salmon with brandied onions. (onions sauteed in blackberry brandy). Perfect combination.

Thank you. You look much prettier than me, but that's ok. At my age it's going to take a lot of work and time to look the way I would like.

You’d be surprised but it’s hard to see the changes that others see when you look in the mirror. I’ve been on hrt for 14 months and I am just now starting to see it. And that only because I posted a picture on social media for Transformation Tuesday.

I guess you're right. I see myself in the mirror every day and don't notice the subtle changes that someone else who doesn't see me often would notice.

Well it is happening again. Without saying a word. They turned off what I was watching. Turning on a video game so they could play A mario game. Didn't even have the common courtesy to ask if I even wanted to play.

Yet, My wife keeps bringing up things we can do this summer. I swear she either doesn't remember that I said I was leaving. or chose to not remember it. Does she think my condition is just going to go away?

Sorry to bring this. Maybe I'll just go to bed shortly.

The woman on the right looks like my sister-in-law. I mean a skinnier version, but the facial features are all there.

THAT is a classic micro-aggression, and absolutely not cool. They're saying, without words, that you're not one of them and you and your opinions don't matter. You don't have to put up with that.

Your wife is probably realizing that her life is going to fall apart without you, but isn't willing to give any ground in her battle to "man you up." So she's making plans for the two of you for, "when you get over this silly phase." Again, a micro-aggression. She's saying, "Oh you're being silly. Of course you'll come around to my way of thinking and do what I say." I suppose it could also be a form of denial but it doesn't sound like she's taking, "I'm moving out the second I have somewhere to do," seriously.

@KymmieL, I really wish the people around you were less terrible. Preferably not terrible at all, but I'd settle for a more restrained terrible.

Hugs!

I don't know who "they" are, but I disagree with the suggestion that this is a microaggression. Microaggressions are typically unconscious acts one does toward a minority that reinforces societal oppression of that group. ie. Locking the car doors only when BIPOC persons walk close by. This was openly aggressive with malicious intent. Not that aggression being unconsciously done is any better, but one is borne of stupidity and ignorance. This was a wilful attempt to cause you harm.

She's knee deep in a river called denial, methinks. Hopefully you can get out your situation with as little drama as possible. In fact, I hope that you find yourself among more positive and supportive people soon.

Wow! Big difference. I hope I can get that much prettier. Your skin looks amazing. Looks like you have some new hair growth.

I wonder about this sometimes.  If it were so, they would be in their 50's by now. It's not impossible.   Guess I'm a girl with a past.

Just a casserole with macaroni and leftover hamburger.  It will last me a couple of days or more. I frequently use my wok, but in the kitchen.

Funny thing.  When I went to school I was writing with my right hand (I'm right handed) but holding the pencil like a left handed person.  They made me change that, and to be sure it was better for me.  Of course my handwriting is still barely legible.  It's just a curious thing. I'm a kinda mixed up person.

Bathroom usage law based on chromosomes is quite irrational. Just within the intersex community there are quite a few problems with it with those that have full or partial androgen insensitivity. For instance, I have XY chromosomes but also have a uterus and fallopian tubes. My breasts are real and I have had them since puberty. I was also born without a penis to speak of, but I do have testes.    I don't look like the average guy, and much less now that I don't hide my DDD's behind baggy layered clothes.    Physically I am much more female than male, but my birth certificate and chromosomes say something else.    I most definitely don't fit in the men's room. Last time I tried everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at me until I left. I have used the family restroom in public ever since (all gender). The Texas law basically leaves only one choice for intersex individuals. Family restroom or pee your pants. 🙄

I had a similar experience.  My father, doing geneological research, googled the name of the tiny hamlet in Scotland where his family came from.  He was surprised to find a request from someone in Australia wanting to find his birth mother.  The mother was named as my father's sister, from that same tiny hamlet.  There was no possibility of mistaken identity: there could not be two people of that name in such a small place.   The family knew that my aunt had had a child out of wedlock, but no one had kept track of the child.  And of course, the times being what they were, knowledge of the event was kept on a need-to-know basis.    My father contacted the person in Australia.  He gained a nephew and I gained a cousin that I never knew I had.  We kept in touch until my cousin passed away a few years ago.  I am still in occasional contact with his widow.

I can relate to that, I started my oral estrogen back in 2017.. less than 6 months I was wearing jeans size 40, then afterward my hips started to curve so I can fit a jeans size 12 or 14.. my treating doctors suggested for me to take before and after pictures and show it to them during my next doctor's appointment.

Good morning from the backyard patio,   Parker and I are outside enjoying the morning sounds of the day. It’s was filled with the beautiful sounds of birds, bugs and kids off at a distant playground. My coffee was hot, strong and black. This came crashing down as the Monday morning trash truck came into the neighborhood. We’re the first neighborhood for the trash route since a city ordinance keeps all commercial workers limited to a 07:00 start time. It was Parker’s first time experiencing this noise and physical vibrations as the operator slammed the articulated arm around picking up individual trash bins. Parker ran from the fence back to the patio swing looking back at the monstrous truck causing such a commotion. His head tilted, ears perked, and body language indicating curiosity.    My second cup of coffee is settling down as the birds return to singing their calls, and Parker ravages his toy rabbit.    Hugs and best wishes as you take on the week. Happy Monday!   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Good morning @Adrianna Danielle   I’m glad you agreed to the paternity test.    My Uncle found himself in a similar situation and after the test he was faced with explaining his infidelity and one night stand to his wife and family. Not only did the test come back; “YOU ARE THE FATHER” she looked like a sister to the other children in his family. This was a “23 & Me” moment confirmed by an independent test. The most important reason for the young lady to search for her father, was medical history and peace of mind. The blessing of the test was her understanding and willingness to disappear into obscurity. That was not what my Uncle or his family wanted to happen. She was family and they wanted to know her and eventually love her as a family member. The next 4th of July family gathering, she was introduced to the rest of her extended family and I gained a cousin. My prayers for you as you navigate all the possibilities, and I hope it works out for everyone involved.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
