Had my coffee on the front porch as usual in warm weather.  I throw sunflower seeds out for the birds, of course the squirrels like them as well.

I have a mouse in the house.  Probably more than one.  Little thing ran across the kitchen right in front of me - didn't have the decency to wait till after dark.  My kitty is too slack.  She's a deadly hunter out in the wide world, but when she comes in, she just sleeps.  Guess it's up to me to catch 'em.

And then, I was fixing to run over to the Food Lion, but my car battery was dead.  Fortunately I had a charger that was accessible and not up at my ex's place in the country.   I hope that's all it needs.  Batteries are too high these days.

So the day is off to an interesting start.

Walmart sells live traps with a window in the top that's awesome if you don't want to kill them. cut a piece of cardboard the size of the open area in trap, put color side up with some peanut butter on it and a jar lid with water in there. It works wonders. Of course it's no fun taking them out in bad weather far enough away from the house to set them free.

Wow Mindy! We started out much the same and ended up in a rig similar to yours. Later we downsized back to a motorcycle. Hoping to do that again once I am healed. Just not sure how much my loss of strength will affect handling the motorcycle with the wife aboard.

Kymmie, I don't know how to compare, but I didn't start noticing much until about a month after I got my anti-androgen shot to shut down the hormones. Even then, the changes were subtle for awhile except for the change in my head. Nobody noticed that other than how easy it was to make me cry.

@Linda Marie I don't comment much, but I do enjoy your music.

Hugs,

Mike

I've been on HRT for 3 months now. I'm thinking the doctor started me on a low dose because the only difference I feel is tender breasts all the time. It's supposed to mean they're growing. I nope that's correct. I'm on xx mg estradiol an xx mg spironolactone. I just had my first blood test since starting on HRT. waiting on the results for hormones. The other results showed almost no change. Should get the rest today.

Could be worth a try.   Killing them doesn't bother me a whole lot since they have chewed up some of my favorite things in the past.  But hey, a mouse is gonna be a mouse.  (I can always feed them to the cat - although that does seem a bit cold)

Hi Jamie,

I had a Lupron shot early March of last year. The noise in my head went away about a month later and within 2 months I noticed a lot of changes. I have only had lab work once showing my hormone levels, but both were super low. I was informed by some PCa forums that my E was too low for breast growth, but I noticed tenderness at Thanksgiving last year. That is when I realized they had already started to grow. The growth is happening at a very slow pace, but I am sure it will pick up in a few months when I am no longer constrained from having estrogen.

Hugs,

Mike

Had a great appointment with my GYN. She is fantastic. She has upped my Estrodal to the next dosage, and I will be starting up Spiro again to hopefully bring down my T. She is also getting me in for a bone density scan. With taking my other blockers for over 6 months. She want to make sure everything is OK. She is also going to put in for a breast exam. The Dr. says that might as well start.

Chicken out on the dress, but wore womans shorts, t-shirt, and tennys. Of course bran and panties are a given. I wanted to look more casual. My purse with some protection, a girl can't be too safe. (OK, get your minds out of the gutter) placing it in my center console while at the VA. I love WY. You can concealed carry without a permit.

You don't always need to wear dresses and such.  I never do unless its something special.  Dress to blend in and be a part of the universe!  I'm sure you looked great.

Hi everyone

I haven’t had much to say the last couple of days.  Tomorrow morning I see a voice therapist.  Then tomorrow afternoon I see my ENT.  I am supposed to get a Botox shot in my throat to stop the muscle spasms.  I can be talking fine the all of a sudden I get a spasm and can’t even croak something out. I have worked out a signal with my wife when it happens.

I have the battery power and control panel all hooked up.  Fuel is hooked up.  The biggest part I need to add is the exhaust system once that’s installed I can try turning over the engine.  I don’t really want to start it just yet.  Check everything before actually running 5he engine.

That's great. I've read it takes 2 years to grow breasts. I hope it doesn't take that long. I don't want stretch marks either. I lotion up every day so that doesn't happen.

It can take longer than that for us older gals. Patience.

Good morning everyone,

I'm happy to say things have really calmed down here at home. For now.  As long as I'm getting stuff done around the house on the weekends and a little during the week I don't anything hear anything about my presentation. We've even gone out shopping together. Granted it was just a quick grocery run but still I didn't have to change my clothes first. I was in a, it wasn't this tight 3 months ago, cami and jeans. As we walked around the store, I could occasional feel eyes on us but why were they looking? Was I getting clocked? Did they think we're lesbians vs. friends? Don't know, don't really care. I didn't hear any snickering or comments. So I'm assuming the lesbian thing. Obviously I'm fine with that.

Met with my therapist last night. It turns out I've been suffering from a lot of anxiety over the years. I've struggled with the idea of using that term since it seems like a catch-all word these days. They also made the mistake of being curious about my sexuality (past and present). Lots of self-induced shame there but it's out on the table so we'll see what I find out about myself.

I found the limits of what I can wear at work. Yesterday's outfit really pushed the boundaries but it was mostly the pants. Apparently the distressed look isn't considered professional. I wasn't reprimanded or told to change, just not to wear then again. And I was worried about the crochet mesh top. At least I wore a tank underneath it.

It's supposed to be in the 80s today and I have no idea what to wear. I have very little in the way of summer clothes. Oh wow, look at the time. Looks like I have to figure it out.

Good morning!

I've been kind of dressing in line with what the other women wear at work.  With some consideration not to accentuate features that masculinize me.

At some point Id like to try working somewhere where you're supposed to dress "professional"

IMO you're an artist @Elizabeth Star

Patience is difficult after waiting so long already just to be who I am. I can't even wear girl clothes outside of the bedroom yet. My wife says she supports me, but it sure doesn't feel like it most of the time. My therapist says to go slow with her. It feels like I'm going at a snails pace.

I'm glad things are going better for you. What a rollercoaster ride!

Yeah, It's a shame we all have it. We shouldn't even know the meaning of dysphoria and anxiety in our lives. Sounds like you grew up in a religious home like me. Shame is just another way to control us.

I think being spiritual is much better than being religious.

No, I hear you. When you figure out what's going on, you want to dance in the streets and shout it from the rooftops. "HEY WORLD! I'M TRANS! HEY! HEY!"

Then you want to jump in with both feet and get ON with it already.

The thing is that HRT takes YEARS to take full effect and there are a ton of hoops to jump through before you can get most surgeries. Just like your first puberty wasn't done overnight, second puberty isn't any faster.

When my wife and I are out and I think people are watching (or even if I don't), I'll give her a kiss or grab her butt. Why make them wonder?

That's good. I'll have to try that. We were at Menards the other day, and my wife told me a woman walking by did a double take at me and then took a good look at my wife. I wish I would have seen it. Makes me feel good.

Good morning

be on my way to my appointments in a minute. It takes up to two hours to get there depending on traffic.

on the boob subject in 9 months mine have changed shape far more feminine but according to a measuring tape haven’t grown.  Yes it takes time and waiting but I’ve been waiting for 60 years.  What’s a couple more.

gotta go

Morning all.  Elizabeth glad things are settling down at home.  I've worked on retail forever so I can understand about dressing for work.  Most places don't want distressed items due to the holes in the jeans.  I've found plenty of cute options that have fun stitching along the pockets etc.  Willow good luck on your drive.  I'm currently prepping for final interview with a district manager for a job.  ?  Hope I get some good news today

Yup.   Seems to be a slow go.   For me, a big thing was the change in how they feel.  There is a difference from "man boobs" at least to me.  Like the first time you accidentally brush against a door frame or something, and realize there is something here that wasn't before.

I think we worry too much about size.  But, some visibility is nice.

I so need to do this. If anything, I’ll get a better idea of how she feels about us publicly.

When you measure are you also measuring the band size? For comparison. I found I dropped an entire band size after about 6 months.

Then how do you measure bra fit? Admittedly finding my bra size is like finding unicorn eggs in my cat's litter box, but I keep an eye on it.

Unfortunately, it's about the same, though it's more muscle than fat now.

If I'm doing something where I interact with people for any length of time I usually do something with my eyes (mascara, brow fill-in and taming). Bigger events I'll do some makeup but always try to be as subtle as I can, plus I think my freckles make me seem younger to people. I know it's too much when my brain suddenly thinks "clown!"

      Good morning    wow, this is what 6 AM looks like not looking out the windows at work. Interesting week of start times 7,8,7,7,4.  ASM is off most of the week.     No coffee this morning, at least not until I get to work.  I’m going to see if no coffee makes a difference in how I feel today, I’ve head a headache for several days now, nothing has helped.  I do realize that stopping coffee cold turkey can bring on caffeine withdrawal headaches so I expect today to be no better.  But I’m hoping for tomorrow.  Today is just to see what if any affect it has on my throat.    time to fix my hair and walk the dog before I motor across the road.  Cherri o .   keep a stiff upper lip and all that stuff.  (Sorry, nothing the least bit funny coming to mind this morning, you’ll have to entertain yourself today}

DON’T ADD JUDGEMENT TO YOUR FEELINGS by Olga Lacroix | Anxiety relief, Happiness, Mindfulness I’m sitting here drinking my favorite coffee, and as I enjoy this moment I cannot wait to share with you the thoughts that are in my head.  Recently, I have talked about how circumstances don’t determine your future. And somewhere along the line, I wanted to explore a little bit more about our thought process. How we discourage ourselves so often from our goals and from the things that we want, because we have beliefs that go against what we want. In this episode, I want to talk about how it’s important for us to learn not to judge our feelings. Aside from being a Life Coach, I’m also a Certified Mindfulness Instructor. And non-judgement is one of the learnings that I enjoy understanding, applying, and teaching. WHY BEING JUDGEMENTAL IS HARMFUL Sometimes it’s so difficult to be non-judgmental, especially if it’s coming from a bad experience or emotions. For example, a client of mine just had a pregnancy loss and a part of her coping mechanism is to hate or be indifferent to people who have babies.  It’s her way of processing the grief and protecting herself from anger and sadness. And recently someone close to her had a baby. She wanted to feel excited for that person but somehow her bad experience was holding her back. Like her, a lot of people cope this way. Some people try to hide their feelings and emotions just because they’ve already judged them as maybe improper or inappropriate emotions. And what happens is, those emotions stay inside them longer, they don’t get to process their emotions, and it becomes more painful. HOW NOT TO BE JUDGEMENTAL When we judge our feelings as bad, our natural response is to avoid it. We go through crazy lengths just to avoid the feeling, but by avoiding it we’re actually growing it. So what do we do? Do not judge the emotion, allow yourself to feel the negative emotions. Don’t mask it, instead embrace it.  DON’T IDENTIFY WITH YOUR EMOTIONS For someone like me who experienced Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD, a common side effect is anxiety. I have learned that the more I try to repel the anxious thoughts, the stronger they feel in my body, and the longer they stay. But when I’m courageous enough, and I say to the feeling, I’m not gonna judge you for existing, you’re just a feeling. I tell myself something neutral. There is anxiety, not I am anxious. Separate yourself from the feeling. The feeling is not you and it’s just temporary. FINDING THE BALANCE Now when the feeling is good and positive, we jump into attachment, wanting that feeling to linger longer and even forever. But according to Buddha, that’s when the suffering begins, when you want to make something last forever, and when you’re not ready to understand and accept the impermanence of emotions. Find the balance in your emotions. Learn to separate yourself from the emotion. Feel the emotions whether they’re good or bad, but don’t dwell in it. It’s an emotion that we need to feel, process, and eventually let go. Through this, we will achieve a healthier mind. STEPS TO FREE YOURSELF FROM JUDGEMENT The first step is awareness. Being aware of the emotion and how you have judged it. This step will allow you to think of the next step to free yourself from judgement. Step two is processing your emotion in neutrality. Go to a quiet place, close your eyes, and meditate. Bring all of your senses, all of your awareness to the feeling. Give it attention and wait for it to dissipate.  The last step is to pay attention to the lesson. Become curious and think about what this emotion is teaching you, what wisdom can you take from it. Be an observer of your emotions. You need to react, you need to fix them, change them, modify them, you just need to notice them. And then you need to open the space, let them be felt. These are moments of growth, these are moments of transformation. And most importantly, these are moments where we allow the emotion to be processed. Reset Your Mindset is opening in January of 2022. A program that helps you with making decisions, set clear boundaries without drama or guilt. Stop the hamster wheel that keeps you in overthinking mode, switching off the mean inner voice and switching on confidence and compassion instead. I just want to mention, where I live there are tons of cis guys your height or shorter. Among them is my dad and one of my professors (who are well over 17 y/o lol), and I honestly don't think twice about it. Every time I go to the grocery store I see at least 4 different guys around that height too. I don't think your height will be an issue towards passing long-term. (Well, maybe it's different in your region, but just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.)   I can relate to the hands thing though. If I ever hold something in front of the camera to take a photo of it, I feel like I have to crop my hands out so they don't "out" me. (I admit that that's silly.)

I noticed something like this too once I socially transitioned. I am so accustomed to people referring to me as a guy and using the right name, that socially I feel fine most of the time. This just makes me more aware of how physically uncomfortable I get sometimes.
