Bummer !!!  I've got to assume you're not on HRT yet? You must be young and healthy. My first T level before HRT was 375.

I am on HRT.  The level when I finished the blockers was in the 50s. I wish I was young and healthy.  But I am old and worn out at 56. LOL.

It seems that my T came back with a vengeance.

It sounds like your T-factories are tenacious little pricks. It might take an orchi to get them to knock it off. Your endo might have other ideas as well. Patience and let him do his thing.

Hugs!

Spiro blocks the effects of T within the body but not the production. It primarily binds up T receptors. When taken WITH E the E suppresses T production. So you need both to reduce serum T levels.

Here's the medical speak version of what I just condensed

"Spironolactone is a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist and is anti-androgenic in four ways. First, it is a peripheral androgen receptor partial antagonist (IC50 = 77 nmol/L) (10). The IC50, which is the concentration of an inhibitor where the binding is reduced by half, is higher than that of cyproterone acetate, reflecting less potency. Second, spironolactone is a weak inhibitor of 17α-hydroxylase and 17,20-lyase (enzymes in the testosterone biosynthetic pathway) which lowers testosterone to a small degree. Third, it has weak progestogenic activity with a very low half-maximal potency (10); and fourth, it has oestrogenic activity expected to suppress GnRH and gonadotropins at the hypothalamus and pituitary (10). However, even at high doses, small pharmacokinetic studies in healthy males show no significant reduction in serum testosterone, despite a transient rise in FSH and LH in the first 2 days of administration (11, 12). Interestingly, administration of the main metabolite of spironolactone, canrenone, appears to decrease testosterone by 50–60% within hours in healthy men (13) and in conjunction with oestradiol, spironolactone decreases testosterone

Why did they stop the spiro?

Coming out to home town community. Gosh what to wear.

I had asked my wife what to wear, I do volunteer work, I told her I can not go on living as David I need to be me,

So here I am, 60 days from now this is how I'll look at my new job.

I need 60 days to break the ice and present myself, after all I'm not in the city clubs anymore.

Freedom is finally coming my way.

Love,

LM♥️

The spiro wasn't really doing what it needed to do even at a high dosage. So she put me on lupiloyd(sp) Shots every three months. After that my t levels were in the double digits.

My Dr. Has started me on Spiro again. SO we will see if it drops down.

Good morning

well after clearing my office, it took me some time to get my internet fixed.  Broken tab on a cable allowed it to slip out just enough.  Anyway I haven’t been here in a couple days. I’m pretty sure I’ve said it before but but I’m no longer hiding.  I learned yesterday about a neighbor that saw me talking to a friend.  He later went to that friend and inquired who that was.  Since I no longer care I told him, tell them it was Willow and really set them off.  Lol

i fixed my friends boat yesterday.  His navigation lights didn’t work. Replaced the lights with led and replaced the on/off with a whole new panel.  We do have a little clean-up to do like Mount the new panel but I want him to decide where and wire a ground so the usb and volt meter work but really that will be quick when he decides.

it’s gotten hot here.  High 80s to 90.  If I wasn’t so busy it’s been great sailing weather, but I just can’t get out.  Winds 10-15 and waves off shore 3 to 6.

oh well plenty of time for that later.

I get to take a ride to the mountains for an appointment with my endocrinologist today.  Should be a nice day for the drive.  We do have gas here again.

I want to see about adding some progesterone.  My former clinic had me on it, but not E.  Here, they dropped the progesterone, but I got the E.  I'm wondering if it was added I might get a little more volume in the right places.

It's getting hot already.   I think the mountains will feel good.

Hi peoples, thought I'd post another video.

Not much going on today, nice and peaceful.

I want all here to know I do read your post's, so nice to be not alone.

60 day's, I feel they need time, not me. This is a small town outside of Ashville, so I really need to gain their trust, after all

I am representing us.

Take care and love,

It takes about an hour for it to drop me. Your mileage may vary, but staying awake after my hit is... Well, it's just not going to happen. My dreams are more vivid and a little weirder though. I'm not sure if it's because they ARE weirder, or they were weird in the beginning and I'm just remembering them more often.

Hugs!

Hey everyone,

Linda good to hear about that next step.  Heather that's a cute comic, I cracked up at the part about the court date ?.  I've been on edge today still waiting to hear back about the job I interviewed for.  Hopefully I'll hear back soon.

Hi Danni, I hope you land that job.

As far as me being retired it is not what I thought it would be. It really sucks.

This morning someone was knocking on my door and I climbed out the window to greet him/her,

He/she asked me why I didn't just open the door,

I told him/her I was born by cesarean.

A post person delivered a letter to my door, I asked him/her why didn't you just put it in the male box?

Her/him replied, it is addressed to a female.

Take care my friends, and best wishes,

Love,

LM♥️

Mud. You know when we fall into the mud, there is always a way to pick yourself up.

We don't have to live in that puddle, but to get out we need to pick ourselves up.

Back in the '80's I was in Austin TX. still after 15 years of playing the guitar I was missing something.

I took some professional lessons on lead guitar, but then had to fly out to L.A. for work.

When I returned back to Austin my life went into the mud puddle, (I'm from L.A. born to be wild)

So I started to stop living the blues and re build my life, thanks to my wife I'm still walking this earth. I named it Mud because

I was in that mess. Jani, this tune is for you, you know about some of my past.

Love to all,

LM♥️

This one is for all of those here.

Another silly video, yes I'm just happy and posting to much.

I do try to put a message in my videos.

I hope I am not intruding, if so just tell me and I will back away.

More about me, I am left handed but play instruments right handed, I shoot my guns right handed, but everything else is left handed. Yes I'm just a mixed up soul. I went through school at an early age with teachers beating my left hand, didn't work for them or me, just angered me. I never was able to fit in with the so called we are right you are wrong so I took a different direction, I went my way.

Love,

LM♥️

We finally got part of our fence replaced. It looks amazing. Two hundred sixty-five feet of six foot high chain link. Although I didn't install it myself, I still had to put in a bunch of manual labor. Trimming trees and taking down the old one. Thankfully, the old one wasn't put very well. I was able to pull out the old poles by hand.  This is where I noticed I have substantially less strength than I remember but my wife says I look more muscular these days.  It brought up two points in my mind: 1) Do the muscles I am building look more feminine? And 2) Should I change the gender on my fitness tracker to female?

I've also been a lot more open about myself on my FB and still do my outfit of the day. My wife made a comment about how I look so much better in a dress than her with out condemning me for the outfit. I want to think we are at that point of her acceptance but until she at least stops dead naming me I will remain skeptical.

@Linda Marie As my wife would say, Keep your day job!  I think those are funny though!

I enjoyed that blues number.  I can tell you really must have burned up the stage at one time!   You mentioned Memorial Day coming up.  I was in the Navy a very long time ago.

Haver a great day.

Linda Marie that last video was very poor as it kept starting and stopping.   I got the gist of your message though.

@Elizabeth Star I used to worry about looking better than my wife as I am thinner than her but she knows she's beautiful and I imagine you feel the same about your spouse too.  I'm sure you're happy the fence is finished!

Good morning everyone,

The coffee is gone.:coffee: It was the usual HOT, black, and strong.

I'm so far behind catching up with everyone. Hugs for you all. (masked where required)

So last week my Suzie and I went camping, and just so happened to run into one of your coworkers, and her husband. We exchanged pleasantries and the two husbands were introduced. He's a big 6ft+ 250lbs Navy Vet. (Desert Storm) wearing 5.11 cargo shorts, tank top, buzz cut high and tight, and sandals. I on the other hand at 5'6" 190lbs was wearing a grey & white camo Danskin Y-back racerback shirt, with matching padded bicycle shorts, neon orange shoestrings in my black and red tennis shoes. My hair was loose, curly and I was using a bright red pair of sunglasses as a headband.(the shoes match the glasses) Yes we had two mountain bikes next to the camper, so it looked like we might be getting ready to ride. It was all cool for the hour they visited.

Tuesday when my wife goes into the office to work, her coworker said her husband was kind of taken aback by my hairstyle. But since we talked about riding motorcycles to Sturgis, SD for 10 years he was okay. My Suzie said she did her best Jon Lovitz impression from Saturday Night Live... Yeah... that's the ticket! Smiling inside knowing full well I'm not the Biker Dude anymore.

Best wishes, stay positive, and safe

Liz and Jani,

This is one of the biggest issues between my Suzie and I. No mater how I complement her on her fashion, makeup, or perfume. She replies back with a negative eye roll and says thank you. I dream of the day when her expressions match her words.

Rants are not a problem.  My favorite hobby! :)   What's out there is bad enough that I wonder why some people feel they need to embellish it.  Be alert.   Some of this will need to be fought in court if they try to implement it. If people are out to get me, paranoia is justified.  And this may not be the only document.   Abby
    • Ivy
Not in so many words, therefore it's not there at all.  Excuse my paranoia. And the states passing laws against us are nothing to worry about either. Having to change my gender back to male (like in Florida) is reasonable.  I should just accept it, I mean I was born with a dk.  So that "F" is lie, and a fraud.  My delusions need to be dealt with for my own good.   I'm just frustrated these days.  Just a bit of a rant.

You probably remember the Target PR fiasco.  I remember reading an account from a woman who shopped there.  She went into a stall and did her business, and someone came into the bathroom and began swinging stall doors open, and when she came to her stall, the woman peeked at her through the crack. "What are you doing?" "Checking for perverts." The writer was so stunned by the absurdity that she finished up ASAP and got out of there, while the other woman entered a stall and locked it, made sure it was locked, and locked it again.

      Nothing about eradicating TG folk.
    • Ivy
If 9 out of 10 parts are ok, that doesn't mean I need to accept the bad parts (that are aimed directly at me).  That seems suicidal.
    • Ivy
True, most of it has nothing to do directly with us.  It's the parts that do that are the problem.   I see the  few problematic statements as being a big problem.  Just because a lot of it may be okay, doesn't change that. Even supposing the rest of it might be good for the country, it doesn't help me if I'm being "eradicated".  I suppose I should be good with that, because it's for the "greater good".  If me being gone would please a number of people, then it's my civic duty to disappear, and vote to implement that.
    • Ivy
Yeah.  There are already laws against assault.  I don't think the overwhelming majority of trans women have any desire to harass cis women.  Speaking for myself, if I go into a women's washroom, it's because my eyeballs are already floating - not for kicks.  And I worry about getting clocked and assaulted by some guy being a "hero."
    • Abigail Genevieve
Only three, maybe four, sections even mention transgender.  Most is a conservative agenda I have no problem with.   In the sections that mention transgender, there are very few lines.  Those lines ARE problematic, in every case. Unequivocally.  I can't see some of them standing up in court.  In one case a recommended policy goes against a court decision, which strongly suggests the implementation of that policy would be stopped in court.    Anyone maintaining that this is written simply to support Trump, to support him becoming a dictator, to crush transgender people is feeding you a line.  Nor is it an attempt to erase transgender people.   People will have to decide if the overall goals are worth the few problematic statements.  Overall, I support it.  Of course, I have some reservations.
    • Abigail Genevieve
It is unfamiliar, therefore threatening.   For 90% or so of the population, gender id can be simply and quickly determined by a quick anatomical observation.  They have no understanding and cannot imagine what it would mean to have a body different from the id.  It is unimaginable.  Therefore, wrong.   So there is this strong headwind.   I haven't entered this discussion, but here is a script: A: I can't imagine what it must be to have TG. B: You're a man, right? A: Well, of course. "amused" B: Imagine you were required by law and custom to wear women's clothing all the time. A: It wouldn't happen. B: Okay, but for the sake of the argument... A: That would be disgusting.  I would be very uncomfortable. B: You have it.  That is what TG people go through all the time. 24-7-365. A: Really? B: And then they are told they are perverts for having those feelings.  The same you just described. A: I see. B: And someone comes along and tells you you need conversion therapy so you will be comfortable wearing women's clothing all the time. A: I think I would break his nose. B: You understand transgender folk better than you think.

I have found some people correlate TG = child predator ... just as some have correlated homosexual = child predator...    I am baffled by the TG = unsafe connection ... my wife tends to think this way, that this is all about sexual deviancy ... I try to ask how my preference for wearing frilly socks with embroidered flowers and a comfortable camisole under my lavender T-shirts is sexually deviant (or sexual anything) but I don't get very far...
    • EasyE
Best wishes to you as you take this step ... many blessings to you!

Not sure.  The perp is a minor.  The problem here is NOT transgender, the problem here is incompetent and criminal administration.  See https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/family-of-loudoun-co-student-sexually-assaulted-ineptitude-of-all-involved-is-staggering/3231725/ It is more than annoying that people think the problem here is TG and that other people think the solution is some stupid statewide law.  Like an appendectomy to deal with an ingrown toe nail.    Since Loudon, I recall a boy was asked not to use the girl's restroom at a high school by one of the girls.  He, overwhelming her with height and weight,  assaulted her, claiming he had a right to be there.   Later I think eight girls beat him severely in another girl's restroom.  Again the problem is not transgender, the problem is assaults in restrooms and common courtesy.  TG is used as a smokescreen and it seems to paralyze thought among administrators who do not want to do anything to provoke controversy.

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
