I only have three shorts that are considered men's. I donated my winter coats today since I don't have to worry about the cold anytime soon.

I have 3 polo shirts that are men's, but pastel colors. I still wear them upon occasion. Almost everything else is androgynous, but off the women's rack. I do have a few sexy blouses that I can save for "date night". 💖💃💖

Congratulations.

Well I got my car back from the soon to be ex wife. She wasn't there so I had it towed to my house. Her family gave her a Saturn Vue. Now if I could just get the keys but then again she hasn't responded to text messages and the phone calls go straight to voicemail. I have a feeling I might have to actually hire a divorce lawyer just so the marriage can be officially over. I don't know how a lawyer would be able to get ahold of her either since I can't.

If it is a newer car and you've got the title in your name, you might be able to get the key pattern from a dealership.  Of course, the new computer-chip key stuff costs $200-$300 each from a dealer, which seems like too darn much to me.

If it is an older car, pull the lock cylinders out of the ignition and doors and buy new on Ebay or from O'Reillys.  Again, you're looking at about $200-$300 total.  Either way, it is probably easier to do than to get the originals from an uncooperative ex.

Hey there Chloe,

We used to have several drive up coffee kiosks here in the Indianapolis, IN area. They seemed to take over the abandoned drive up FotoMats. Then FiveBucks coffee moved into the area and drove them out of business.

What an interesting picture. When was that?

Good morning, everyone!! I've walked and fed our dogs and have almost finished my first cup of coffee. AFter catching up here, I'll grab another cup and then read the local paper. We're supposed to have showers/thunderstorms today - this weather is killing my tan/pool time!!

I've trimmed down my male clothes to where I'm about 50/50 now - but I really don't wear a lot of the male stuff. I just need to clear it out!

I'm going to make an admission here... I am a Talbot's clothing junkie - especially their popovers and blouses. My wife has been a Talbot's customer for years so she gets free shipping. I get most of my shorts, skorts, jeans, pants and dresses from Amazon and Costco but I can't resist Talbot's tops. I wait until they have their deep discount sales of around 70% which generally puts the tops in the $30 to $40 range - and have also had luck on eBay lately making offers on Talbot's items when I have the option instead of having to pay the asking price. My offers are sometimes refused but most often I get the item for a fairly low price. Their XL size is a perfect fit for my frame/bust and even the sleeve length is good. And, I've been very happy with the quality. It generally means I'm a season behind or wearing last year's patterns...but you can't beat the prices by waiting for the deep sales and discontinued items - I learned that from my wife! Please don't judge me too harshly.😄💕

I hope you all have an amazing day filled with fun and love. Be safe and remember to look for the goodness in this beautiful day we've been given.

I went to a local Pride group picnic yesterday.   I had been to a couple of their meetings in the past, but still feel a bit like an outsider.  I guess it's because the people have known each other for awhile.  And then, I'm older than most of them.  There's no hostility or anything, just that people seem to have their own thing going on with each other.

I was sitting by myself when a younger woman came over.  It turned out that she was from a writers group that I had been in before life and the pandemic shut things down.  She had a friend there and we got to reconnect over the writing stuff.  They noticed a symbol on some earrings I was wearing, and we also got into a conversation about that.  It seems like there is more in common than the writing.

It was good to meet and reconnect.  The three of us took her friends dog for a walk on one of the walking trails at the park where the picnic was.  We exchanged info, and are hoping to be able to get together again for writing stuff.

It's just mutual interest in writing and the other stuff.  I have kids their age LOL.  But I never expected to meet her at a Pride thing.  I guess you never know, ya know?

I can say that I am glad I decided to go, even though I was feeling a bit intimidated beforehand.  It's nice to find out that you're not the only weirdo around after all.

Thank you it's a 2013 so I think I'll go to the dealership on next pay day to get it resolved. I think I'll stick to just getting one key because that does sound about right what they'll charge.

I checked out the Pride Parade today for NYC. It looks great and it's huge and ABC covers it live. Lots of supportive topics and issues are getting talked about. "Trans people are being attacked because our coming out has been very successful." That's hopeful in a way—the broader perspective.

Hopefully if you get one key/fob combination, you can get a blank key fob transponder on Ebay that you can program.  However, some cars (like Dodge) actually need two factory transponders to program another at home.  If you get one factory key, you can get chip keys made at walmart for $50 to $100.  It is just getting that first one from the dealership that will hurt.

I will add that if you're like me, it is probably best to get at least two keys eventually.  I have the annoying habit of locking myself out.  Of my car, of my house...I'm just very forgetful.  So I keep a key around my neck as a backup when I'm going out.

Oh yes I always like to have two keys but at that price I'll wait until the next month.

Went to Pride in NYC. Didn't hang out at the March, just went to the Fest. The train rides in were packed with lots of attendees, maybe as loudly happy a trip in as I've ever experienced. I think a bunch of the riders had little experience with the trains into the city. To confuse folks the trains from the south stop at Newark Penn Station and shortly afterwards at New York Penn Station, which sound like the same station over the garbled PA. So today's announcer said when we got to New York, "Next stop, REAL Penn Station."

So humid and sometimes so crowded, it was OK, lots of companies handing stuff out.

Getting a compliment once or twice was nice. Favorite story I was standing in a less crowded area near the sidewalk of a cordoned off avenue and some young person came over and said, "Can I have a hug?" and I said sure, we hugged, then I said, "Why am I getting a hug?" and she pointed at a banner behind me that read "Free Mom Hugs"...that group was in the middle of the avenue dispensing hugs left and right, but she thought I was the only hugging mom there since I was in front of their sign. We all had a chuckle over that, I said I did need a hug!

Some of the folks were getting choked up when they got those Mom hugs, including me, thinking how the day I went to come out to my Mom (waiting to do it in person in the covid era) it was instead the last day she spent at home before going into the hospital for the final days of her life.

Good morning, I think 🙄

I noticed my bras are fitting looser, and they are all brand new. I took a quick measurement around the base and I apparently have lost 2".

Good news that I lost weight, but bad news because my bras aren't fitting right. I just spent $200 on bras a few weeks ago. 😳

My boobs are still growing because the cups are still full, and I kind of knew that from the pain.

It looks like I'll be using my sewing machine to take 2" off the bands of all my new bras. 😉

Of course the smaller band size with same sized cup will officially make them DDD in Torrid bras, or G cup on some other brands. So I guess I have grown a cup. 😳

Good morning, everyone!! 1st cup of coffee for today is in the history books, dogs are walked and fed and I'm ready to tackle the newspaper - have to set realistic expectations with only 1 cup of coffee so far. 😄

You Mom Hug story is full of bittersweet emotions @RhondaS.  It made me think of the last time I saw my mom before she passed unexpectedly.

Be safe and remember to look for the good in this day we've been given.

If you mean Mom, no, cause I didn't come out. She wasn't feeling well but soldiered through a visit, so I figured I'd do it on the next visit,  just nobody knew that what was happening was going to lead to what it led to and there would only be hospital visits left.

There was a sweet little "Tiny Love Story" in the NY Times yesterday with an accepting mom, same first name as my late mother, and when I was out in Seattle I saw a bar called my mom's name and they had all kinds of pride memorablila up and a sign welcoming people of whatever gender identity and even though I don't believe in 'sign's I'm taking it all as her letting me know we're good.

Our 2013 VW Jetta only came with 1 key. It's chipped and also the key is internal cut. read that as $$$$.  So far we have had no problems with one key. unless someone is driving it. the key usually sits on the table. Watch with getting blanks from  Ebay. I got two for a n Explorer we had. neither one would program.

Right now I am enjoying watching the cat chase the puppy. and vis versa. She however has the advantage she can take short cuts over the furniture.

Have my therapist appointment later. Skort and a T is the dress code for today.  I also need to wash the explorer, went to the Snowy range and played yesterday. including getting stuck in a snow drift for 2 hours, and a couple mud pits. I also found that the winch that came with the truck is pretty much crap. SO I am going to upgrade to the Warn that is on the ranger. Also going to swap the air compressor over too. Also found that the Explorer that was supposed to have locking differentials on each end, isn't.  So I am looking to go select able on each end, ARB air lockers.

Well meds need taken, along with poking myself as Monday is my E injection day. Plus I keep hearing a strange calling from the coffee pot. Kymmie come drink me, it is saying. I must obey. LOL.

Yeah, Ebay isn't always a good deal.  At least most of the time you can return them.  Of course, purchasing and programming is my GF's department.  I rarely even drive now.

I did go out with one of my partners this morning.  She hasn't driven since 2019 due to seizures.  2020 was a really bad year for her (stress), and she stopped driving entirely.  She wanted to try it again since she's been seizure-free for several months.  Of course, she won't be driving solo.  Probably not ever, but if she can do it she might be able to go out with one of the older kids.  Somebody who can at least get the car to the side of the road and make a phone call.  Thankfully, we've got a cat that detects her seizures coming and provides 2-3 minutes warning, so we took her along also.  I'm hoping that if she can drive again, it can give her a bit more freedom in her life.  She rarely leaves the house.

Hello, I'm new to the forum.   I'm a 22yr old trans guy. I've been on T for 6yrs, and I have both top surgery and a hysto. I have meta scheduled for next January.   Despite being on hormones for so long, I still don't pass well. I'm 5'1" which I can't change, no matter how much I hate it. I try and work out every other day, but I can't afford the gym so I just do bodyweight. I have a little muscle on my arms and shoulders, and pretty muscular thighs. I'm skinny overall but I do have a big butt.   The only facial hair I have is on my chin, and it's slight. My face is feminine, though my partners tell me it's not. If it was masculine though, then I wouldn't get misgendered. I think they have a bias from knowing me well and liking me. I have been told by a stranger that I have a feminine face after they misgendered me and my partner asked what made them think I was a girl (which was embarrassing, I prefer to just lower my gaze and walk away and sulk).   My hair has not made a difference in the frequency of misgendering. I had it natural color (brown), but my partner wanted me to dye it silver on the top so I did. This time it came out kind of dark and has a blue tinge to it, which I dislike, but it will lighten up. But all the advice I've heard is 'don't ever dye your hair!' Which makes me think it's why I'm getting misgendered, but in reality the frequency is the same. The sides are short, top is longer and swept to the side. Basic trans guy haircut #01. It comes in the trans guy training manual (lol). But if a cis guy had my haircut, nobody would misgender him. So it's not the hair. And bangs look awful on me so this is all that works. I do also have rounded glasses, which I have heard not to do, but square ones look awful on me (trust me, I've tried).   I wear basic clothes, nothing special. I don't have a washing machine or dryer, so I have to go to the laundromat sporadically when I can afford it. So I have to rewear the same thing multiple times. I just wear a t-shirt and shorts usually. I have 1 pair of jeans, the only pair I could find that fits me (I had to get them from the kids section). I feel like I should dress like guys typically do around here (I live in Texas), maybe it will help me blend in. Though I don't blend in with dyed hair. It makes me self-conscious, but I would feel bad changing it now since my partner just dyed it for me.   I live in a conservative state, obviously, being in Texas. So I don't know if that changes anything regarding passing.   I'm just so sick of it. I was given the hopes that I would pass easily on T if I was just patient, but that's not the case at all. I don't regret going on T, because I do like the changes that I have, but I wish it would do more to help me. People try to tell me I pass well, but I don't think I can trust them when strangers misgender me. It's contrary evidence. It seems like they are lying to me, and I don't appreciate it. I'd rather have my feelings hurt than be lied to.   There's always cosmetic surgery, but I'm schizophrenic and mentally disabled so I can't make enough money to afford that since I can't work.   If it's unfixable, then how do you cope with knowing you will never pass? Is there even any way to cope? How do I deal with getting misgendered? It just makes me so depressed every time, even though I don't care what random people think about me. It reminds me I hate how I look and that I look too feminine. And that I'll never look the way that I'm supposed to.   (Please no toxic positivity)

I am a little confused about the word in your title there.    Defamation is a variation I know about, and it is akin to Libel and Slander in meaning, and could be the object of a court action or a couple of types.   If you are referring to the act of denying or taking away your feminine gender, ie. they keep using masculine names and pronouns or referring to you as  a "man" or "man in a dress", then yes it happens to me on rare occasion and if it is online, I simply block the moron doing it or leave the group where they are doing it, and may or may not come back if the person is there.  When people are willing to learn about Trans Folks I do give what are jokingly referred to as Trans 101 or even more in depth classes to the receptive and accepting audiences.  I DO NOT however try to teach a pig to sing, which as they say sounds like hell and annoys the pig.  If someone is invalidating your gender, get away from them safely and FAST.

Well, this last post brings my trans life up to date.  What happens from here is anyone's guess.  The next big milestone will be retirement, probably next year some time.  I don't think that will change things much for Sally because as I have stated previously, I am in a mostly happy place where she is concerned.    I do have a few more posts planned, as I would like to write in more detail about a few occurrences that were memorable to me.  Hopefully they will be of interest to others.    Hugs,   Sally

Has anyone been a victim of online defemination? and what to do about it?
    • Vidanjali
Yes, this is very therapeutic. You are able to see different aspects of your own personality. There is the part which has survived life thus far through decision making and lots of trial and error. That part of you is your wise and capable parent. When you feel strongly identified with the scared child in you, you can turn to the wise parent part of you whom you trust to guide you. You have faith and trust in that part of you necessarily because it has gotten you this far. Naturally, we all have room for improvement and advancement, but you can only start where you are and try to do your best with what you have to work with and deal with. But by adopting this attitude, you see that wise parental part of you become stronger, wiser, and more steadfast and skillful. Then the child in you increasingly becomes more trusting and carefree.

You want to hear coincidence? I just posted that and my neighbor just texted me and said she has been up early because there were Northen Lights outside. Then 2 seconds later I get an extreme weather alert. “We are experiencing Extreme Geomagnetic conditions observed and continued severe geomagnetic storms expected to continue through the weekend”.
