Reaching my target weight

That’s really good girls. I haven’t weighed in since Saturday. But I know I’m not any lighter. I don’t think I’m heavier either because my belt is the same. This new workout routine is taking a lot out of me. It’s very hard. I’m slow with the moves. And every morning my whole body hurts. I have been low on steps too. The old routine was 5k-7k steps a day. This one is more like 4K. But they’re much more difficult. 25 years later and I still hate burpees! ?. And I’m so tired at the end that I can’t run on the mill yet to make up the difference. It’s only been 2 workouts so it’ll get better. But this week is gonna be a week of nothing I think. Then my coach also told me to prepare to gain weight the first couple weeks too. ?. So I’ll prolly end up going up before down. She says you gain a good amount of muscle with this routine. But it’s lean muscle not bulky. “Girl muscle”. Lol. Like I said it’s about being in shape more than anything for me. And I can tell this is going to make that happen.

I agree Kirsten.  I once had very muscular biceps from wieght lifting back in the day and now they are looking more like my wife's...which is a good thing (in case she ever reads this ?) There almost no bulge these days unless I force it by flexing.

Thank God I never had Popeyes arms...most of his muscle was in his forearms..but I know what you mean.

I am so happy today that I hoped back on my Wii Fit Board for another 30min workout from Aerobics to ab exercises and stretching.  I have to say that they are right that you burn your calories for the fat within the first 20 to 30min and after that if you stop then you are not wearing yourself out to be tired and can keep going every day.

The Wii Fit board along with my scale both showed the same that I lost 5lbs in 4 days and it's staying off since I have changed my diet and portion control.  Then I am so happy that I have more energy and not wanting to lay on the couch.

My balance is getting better each day according to the Wii Fit board when I do their test.  My BMI is also dropping.  Then with losing 5lbs, I have notice that my pants have been getting loose and having to keep pulling them up.  But I dont think that I ready for the next size down on the pants.

My goal to to lose my belly, tone it up keep it off and have my pants size go from double digits to single digits.

Today I have done step's, running, and hula hoop on the Wii Fit.  Then I did ab's for the twist and angle twist to get my side's and then V up's.  For the final I ended my 30min session with baby shark.

I am feeling better and healthier.

My Wii Fit board arrived for the Wii U. I like it. I think I am going to get some Wii motes so I can do all the things like the dancing.

Today’s weigh in was 192 pounds. That makes three pounds lost in the last seven days. Right now I’m losing weight in 10 pound milestones so the next milestone is very close.

Awe that is awesome Rithia that your Wii Fit board arrived.  I have been using mine alot and I need to get the additional controllers so I can do more of the exercises.  My Wii Fit is also for the Wii U as well.

You have to get me your Wii U Mii name and maybe I know that on the Wii Fit U how you can do multiplayer and exercises together or play racket ball blocks against each other.  It would be grate if we can workout together like that.

It does online play? That’s cool. I think mine is Niastissa. I’ll check when I get home but I’m pretty sure that is it.

After a 25 min ab-interval training video I am BEAT!! I mean holy crap!! There were things I literally just couldn’t do! But I tried like heck. My abs are still quivering an hour and a half later.

I really hope I start to catch on to this series soon because I want to get back on the treadmill too. But if I don’t rest I’m not ready for the next day. My steps this week have averaged about 7k and my cals burned I think is off. I don’t think the watch understands how hard the workouts are because my heartbeat stays lower for the most part. But my muscles are crying the whole time. Lol

Keep up the good work all in this thread, and just chiming in here to say I stepped on the scale this morning (first time in about 10 days), and I am now 5 lbs below where I was just before Halloween. I have emerged from the holidays and all the temptations they present. I am happy just to stay in about a 5 lb range myself, but if I get complacent it can all come back quickly. 5 miles daily, plus a number of planks and other stretching is my magic formula, being consistent works for me. Tonight it's Thai beef salad for the girls and I, yumm...

My scale and my Wii Fit U are serval pounds off. My scale says I didn’t lose weight yesterday and my Wii Fit I says that I’m just under 194 pounds. I’m inclined to think the Wii Fit U is probably more accurate or at least more conservative. I’ll be tracking with both for now but I might just go with the Wii U Fit weigh in from now on.

That is what I have been doing myself with doing both my bathroom scale and my Wii U Fit board.  I love seeing the graph as well every day when I do the body test and it has been showing it is going down.  It's not a step down but a slow downgrade.  But still, I love seeing the graph.

So I found another exercise I am going to try to mimic and it looks hard and extreme.  I am going to try the Alexia Ren Ab workout.  It's 10min of constant 30sec burst of different ab movements and it looks tough and extreme.  But figured I have been following along with baby shark and I am doing good and love the results I am getting and love how my core feels even though I still see fat but it's slowly shrinking and can feel the ab muscles tighting up below the fat so I know it is working.

I’m not weighing in anymore. Lol. I’m all over the place rite?! I am down another 1/2 a belt loop though! But I’m still weak and struggling thru my workouts. I didn’t have a meal plan this week either so foods been off. I’m not eating nearly enough I don’t think. But still healthy. Eggs fruit and whole grain breads for breakfast, lunch has been tough. But dinner has been meat and veggies with some small carb sides. ??‍♀️

Just pushing for that 4-6pack abs for summer. Gotta make the other girls jelly. ?

You want to make us jelly? A firm butt, nice thighs, small waist and bigger boobs (to a certain extent) is what would make me jelly. I don’t know about a six pack.

Well, I forced myself to step on the scale last night and I wish I hadn't. I set a goal when I got my Fitbit to drop 10.9 pounds and hit 175 (I started HRT at 172). I weighed in at 191.8. I only have time to work out when I'm out on a trip, and I haven't changed eating patterns that kept me where I wanted to be.

I'll have to start manufacturing some time at home. Would the original Wii Fit work or is Wii Fit U better?

I had the original Wii fit I remember it being cool. I was thinking about if they have one for the switch or if I can use fit and fit u in conjunction. I know that the u version has some cool looking exercises that use two remotes to track the arms.

@RithiaAllen I wonder if the Wii Fit U will cross over to the switch or not.  But I want to get the remotes as well cause there is alot of aerobic exercise that I want to do but you need to remotes.

@Kirsten I am not really going for abs myself but I want the nice firm butt, small waist, flat stomach and some bigger boobs than what I have.  But I have already had people say that they can see a nice butt and thighs on me.

I am really working on losing weight and getting my stomach nice and flat.  Been working on my core ab area.  Today, I decided to add a new routine to my workout and I am in pain.  I tried the Alexis Ren ab workout.  That is 10min of 30sec different ab workouts and it is constant go go go without stopping.  That killed me for my first attempt and being in pain, but I can feel the tightness behind the fat

Sadly none of the Wii Fit games will work on Switch, but there is a boxing training thing that's not bad (and has a free demo). It has (not original) versions of various songs like Bad Romance and About that Bass and is a good way to burn a few calories. I don't really have the space to really make the most out of it, though, but could be worth a look if you wanted to do a workout with your Switch. :D

Today’s weigh in was 191 pounds and my waist was down to 42.5 inches. Both the waist and the weight continues to go down. The waist has a long ways to go but I am thankful for it going down.

Congrats ladies on all your progress.  It sure helps to see others fighting the same battle.  I feel like I'm not in it alone but ultimately it comes down to my personal choices.

We're pretty much snowed in here and I've got no excuse to not do my 3 mile walk today.  I have new boots but I had misplaced my ski gloves but my wife let me borrow hers.  They fit ok.  They're very feminine but that'll never stop me and I now have no excuse to get out there in the snow today.  It's 2:20pm and I'm still procrastinating.  My wife says it's ok to skip a day but I feel incomplete without doing my daily walk.  Oh well, we'll see.  Thanks for reading my quick rants & ramblings this afternoon.

The solution is simple. Bundle up, grab your shovel and clear the drive way. That is great exercise. ?

This sort of stuff makes my blood boil. A prospective state politician has gained approval from his party's state council to run in their state election next year.   He once stated that the + part of LGBTQIA+ is where pedophiles are categorized.   For clarity, in Australia the Liberal party is our main conservative party. They have lurched further to the right over the past 10 years or so. Our main progressive, union backed party is Labor.   WA Liberal party approves Dr Thomas Brough, candidate who linked LGBTQIA+ community with paedophiles - ABC News

Happy Mother’s Day    I have to be at church earlier than normal for a mic check.  I have been going over what I am to say, both silently reading and reading it aloud.  My concern is that my voice will freeze as it sometimes does.     I felt I was honored very highly yesterday by my minister and supporter on my journey.  He and another minister are Standing together to become the next co-moderators of the Presbyterian Church (USA).  They included me to receive an advance copy of their initial submission.  I was one of only 6 people listed on the email to receive this.  Later this week it will go out to all the voting commissioners that will be in Salt Lake City for the meeting.  I have asked to be allowed to attend the meeting to support him and Rev CeeCee Armstrong, whom he is standing with.    We’ll time to get ready .   Willow

Nup. Not an option. You need to keep going and keep us all in the loop, and we need to keep seeing your beautiful smile!   Party, schmarty. I'm 61 and haven't had a birthday party since I was 30. Even that was just a crummy meal at the pub with a few friends who we have since lost contact with. Don't sweat it.

On behalf of everyone reading your entries here @Sally Stone, THANK YOU for creating such an informative thread. But there is one thing you might have neglected to say at the end, and that is, "And they all lived happily ever after!" ❤️   Reno sounds like a pretty good place to call home. I understand the attraction of living in a place that is not too big but not too small.   I look forward to reading your subsequent posts about specific aspects of your journey.

Hi and welcome. A few things...   1. You're right, you can't trust your friends w/r/t the question of passing. How would they even know if you pass or not? My sister used to do the same thing, telling me that no-one knew I was trans and that to her I just looked like a cis woman. I still don't know if she was serious or just trying to make me feel good, but I learned to not listen to her on that topic.   2. Buuuut, having said that, I thought I looked good, and I think that is all she was really trying to tell me, that she liked how I looked as a woman. Maybe this is obvious, but I feel it gets overlooked: passing and looking good are not the same thing, not even remotely. Your friends (I presume) are trying to tell you that you look good as you are.   3. Having said all that, I think non-passing transmascs have a harder time than us non-passing transfemmes. All I have to do to get gendered correctly 95% of the time is wear a dress and makeup and only a few seriously ignorant folks and diehard transphobes misgender me. For you, it's much harder to find signifiers powerful enough to send the same message.   So in short, I don't have any answers, except that you're right, it sucks, and I hope the situation improves over time. But passing isn't everything. Maybe you're right, and in a less conservative state it wouldn't happen so often, because you'd have more people like you surrounding you. I know that where I chose to live while transitioning has been a big part of making the process a positive experience. I'd hate to be in Texas atm.

Thank you, ladies.   At the time I went from euphoric (my normal state) to not euphoric in an instant, and the lingering thought was one of self-doubt, manifesting itself with the unsolved question that maybe I never really felt like I had the soul of a woman, I just thought I did. I know I'm not the only one to ever feel this way. All part of the ride on this roller coaster I guess.   Yep, and yep. Makes sense now.

@Ladypcnj, I found finding a doctor with a good understanding of "intersex" is quite challenging. My current doctor lectured me about the dangers of the testosterone treatments I underwent as a teenager, yet I had no choice in the matter as it was orchestrated by my parents and a sports doctor (I would have never done it in my own).    Having "extra parts" inside and their first suggestion is to remove them because they "might" become cancerous. I'm sorry, but no one is going to remove my uterus unless there is a clear reason to do so.    Then being referred to a psychiatrist to "treat" my gender dysphoria?   Other than a diagnosis of intersex, I find most doctors today are quite vague in understanding how to treat things. It's not something that need fixing, but rather understanding, and each individual case is special.    I know who and what I am, my current care team fails to grasp that.

Welcome. I know the pain of misgendering, the best way to feel better is to work on yourself and self-acceptance as we still have the curse of the body not matching the brain and although we can make some physical changes we still have to work with what wee have.   I also agree that you are still young and you have not gone through all the changes yet your body will. So hang in there.

agree with the ladies above. Comfort and trust are important, especially with health care. If you don't feel comfortable even if it isn't with a specialist, although that would be preferred.

Fear of emotions, also known as emotion phobia, is when someone is unsure how to understand, regulate, or comfort their emotions. Some signs of fear of emotions include: Developing a pessimistic outlook, Avoiding activities or people, Experiencing big outbursts of anger or tears, Struggling to sleep, and Being irritable to be around.Although there are many reasons we might suppress our emotions, one of them is that we are afraid of our emotions. Fear of emotions is called “animotophobia. It is not an official term in the DSM-5-TR. Still, fearing your emotions can have a significant impact on your well-being.
